[edited] Hutchinson, JJ (Weaver), and (McKenzie) Milton all win Comeback Player of the Year
Great job guys!
[title edited @12:40 am: Posting click-baity OP titles is every bit as bad as posting only a single word or a name (such as 'Justin Feagin') without adding important contextual details. Let's do better please. -rob f]

Was I the only one who thought JJ = McCarthy and Milton=Joe?
To be clear, I wasn’t confused about Hutchinson. Nice to be recognized for coming back from a nasty injury to earn AA status.

I second this take. So confused initially

What this title makes up for in sheer content it loses far more in deceptively familiar but ultimately incorrect names

I say it's deliberate--the o.p. pulled some sneaky-ass clickbait. Are we sure that link isn't actually to "Never Gonna Give You Up"?
December 21st, 2021 at 11:02 PM ^
Had to be intentional.

Yes, the title was intentionally misleading to get clicks. OP deserves to be negged

I love Hutchinson as much as anyone and his impact on our team by coming back can't be overstated... however I think that Milton's story and road to playing again is far more impressive.

not to be a grinch but poor thread title, you should put first names in there as the other two players aren't the M ones (and former) that the title would make you believe
December 21st, 2021 at 9:44 PM ^
Bullshit deception by the OP
December 21st, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
Huge congrats to all three of them, Milton's story is amazing.
With that, the thread's title sucks.
December 21st, 2021 at 9:47 PM ^
Ha ha ha. Good one. You all got us thinking it was JJ McCarthy and Joe Milton. Yeah, your title sucks.
December 21st, 2021 at 9:48 PM ^
Did you purposefully make a shit title?
December 21st, 2021 at 9:49 PM ^
Of course I did. I thought the name combination was quite humorous. I didn't realize the Board would not find that humorous as well.
If I could take it all back I would!
December 21st, 2021 at 9:52 PM ^
You just have to submit a change request to huel
December 21st, 2021 at 10:01 PM ^
Ahhh but you can’t. The Lords of the Message Boards make it impossible to get the toothpaste back in the tube after a shit post so now you have to live with the shame. It’s cool though, I’m sure you are an ok guy otherwise.

10 years of college down the drain.

Thanks Tommy. Were you calling from a walkie talkie?
December 21st, 2021 at 11:29 PM ^
But still 3 more than Bluto
December 21st, 2021 at 10:04 PM ^
I, for one, enjoyed it.
December 21st, 2021 at 10:03 PM ^
I think JJ McCarthy should have won over all those guys. What a story it would be for a true freshman to win that award!

Also, the Mayo Clinic sounds like a sandwich shop.
December 21st, 2021 at 11:45 PM ^
The Dukes Mayo Clinic has a nice ring to it

This is actually impressive levels of clickbait. Nice job, but I hate you.
December 21st, 2021 at 10:49 PM ^
I'm not even going to fix the title, just going to delete this complete feces-storm shortly.
However, if anyone would like to repost this with a clear and accurate title, go for it. (Meanwhile, I'll leave this post up for a reasonable amount of time. )
[Edit @12:30 am: I've reconsidered and decided to clarify the OP's clicky baity title.]

As I noticed this headline on ESPN and thought against posting it to here (to avoid the inevitability of being one of 5 simultaneous new threads on this), I couldn't help but be dumbstruck and gobsmacked that Aidan Hutchinson did this season's many deeds on a freshly healed ankle. I mean, I knew that was factual, but I hadn't appreciated it fully--in the sense I thought the Comeback Player award was simply for returning to school and not for actually being able to, you know, walk again and stuff like that.
Even if you assume he was back to 100% (and I have no reason not to assume that), to go from a 2-4 team and a broken ankle and to skip the NFL draft to come back and not knowing if Harbaugh would even be retained, and then have the season he had. Truly astounding. Maybe the best single season ever by a Michigan football player if you really consider the context as well as the production.

Wait, Jack Coan got votes? What did he have to comeback from? Just being a wisconson QB?
Thank you, thank you, I'll be live from my basement on Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

It was intentional. I laughed once I saw all the negs. You all must have been so triggered when you saw Milton ?

awful post
