What could this cryptic Tweet mean
It was retweeted by Michigan Football.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:13 PM ^
That everything is going to fall into place in due time, trust him
December 14th, 2021 at 7:22 PM ^
Can't believe how one little letter can throw people off so easily.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:28 PM ^
Me?
I can't believe how one little missing question mark in the OP can throw me off so easily.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:34 PM ^
I can't believe no one noticed the typo:
It's not a cryptic tweet, it's a Coptic tweet.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:18 PM ^
Makes perfect sense to me
December 14th, 2021 at 8:23 PM ^
I was assuming that he was saying a prayer that his contractor would show up to finish his construction project...
... because only divine intervention brings a contractor to your house in this economy.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:27 PM ^
Or maybe since trusses are prefabricated whereas rafters are built on site, the trusses would be a better option.
December 14th, 2021 at 10:33 PM ^
i have built trusses on site, but only for small portions of a building.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:35 PM ^
"...because only divine intervention brings a contractor to your house in this economy".
Or a huge boatload of cash.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:51 PM ^
Even if you can get the contractor to your house it doesn't mean he can get any building supplies to work with.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:58 PM ^
There’s a lot of shady shit going on with contractors. Our neighbors wanted to replace their counter tops, paid 75% of the job up front to “prioritize” their job with the contractor, that was 4 months ago and now they can’t get ahold of the guy…Clearly they should’ve known better, but dang…
December 14th, 2021 at 9:19 PM ^
Sorry, that sort of scheiss has been going on forever ... pay upon completion or at completed milestones. And if they squawk about up front materials, pay for those once they've been secured in your garage, shed, bin, etc. awaiting labor to commence.
December 14th, 2021 at 9:22 PM ^
I agree. The especially rough part is that our neighbor is a single mom that works her ass off for her kids
December 14th, 2021 at 10:37 PM ^
If I were you I’d track that sombitch down Yellowstone style but then cordially ask him when he plans to get her job done. Gosh that bothers me
December 14th, 2021 at 10:38 PM ^
cite your neighbor to MCL 570.152, the builders trust act. it is a criminal offense for a contractor to not use the money given for a project for that specific project. call the cops, report the crime. i bet that contractor either gets on the job or finds his checkbook very quickly.
copied here:
Building contract fund; fraudulent detention or use by contractor or subcontractor, penalty.
Sec. 2.
Any contractor or subcontractor engaged in the building construction business, who, with intent to defraud, shall retain or use the proceeds or any part therefor, of any payment made to him, for any other purpose than to first pay laborers, subcontractors and materialmen, engaged by him to perform labor or furnish material for the specific improvement, shall be guilty of a felony in appropriating such funds to his own use while any amount for which he may be liable or become liable under the terms of his contract for such labor or material remains unpaid, and may be prosecuted upon the complaint of any persons so defrauded, and, upon conviction, shall be punished by a fine of not less than 100 dollars or more than 5,000 dollars and/or not less than 6 months nor more than 3 years imprisonment in a state prison at the discretion of the court.

Thank you for the info, I’ll definitely pass it along!!!
December 15th, 2021 at 12:06 AM ^
Or a building permit.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:44 PM ^
Really? No regrets? Not even one letter?
December 14th, 2021 at 7:32 PM ^
This is the right answer, truss me.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:14 PM ^
HE'S COMING BACK!
(am I doing this right?)
December 14th, 2021 at 7:16 PM ^
ITS HAPPENING!
December 14th, 2021 at 7:18 PM ^
In engineering, a truss is a structure that "consists of two-force members only, where the members are organized so that the assemblage as a whole behaves as a single object".
December 14th, 2021 at 7:30 PM ^
Ojabo and Hutch. One crushing the many. He gone?
December 14th, 2021 at 7:41 PM ^
Based on his tweet and your comment above, it can only mean he's coming back to do a masters in civil engineering.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:45 PM ^
This is why I switched my major to finance.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:56 PM ^
Avoid the upper level Econ courses. They will crush your GPA --- and --- you want to exceed a 3.5 to get invitations to interview.
December 14th, 2021 at 8:01 PM ^
So you’re saying to take the easy road and not challenge yourself all to get some interviews? And when they ask questions in said interviews that you’d know from the high level course you’re screwed?
Just kidding, it’s all way harder than what I took in school
December 14th, 2021 at 8:23 PM ^
Oh, you can do fine with the Econ 300s and know (more than) everything necessary to work in 95% percent of the starting jobs in finance. And no interviewer will ever have the stones to try to discuss a senior Econ course with you.
Avoid, repeat avoid, the Econ 400s as an undergrad because you probably will *not ace* them (NFW) nor will you ever need them unless you want to work at the Treasury Dept.
If you do take them and you do ace them? Go directly to Wharton for your MBA (lol)
December 14th, 2021 at 8:29 PM ^
I didn’t go to college to play skool, actually ended 6 credits short of graduating, but the school wanted me gone so they gave me a diploma…Obviously not a UM alum
December 14th, 2021 at 8:52 PM ^
Loved the Intermediate Econometrics course and the Best Least Unbiased Estimator!
December 15th, 2021 at 12:34 AM ^
My god econometrics, the horror
December 14th, 2021 at 9:11 PM ^
I was an Accounting major and Economics courses were falling off a log they were so easy and intuitive. Fascinating stuff. If I could have figured out a way to make money in Economics I would have majored in that.
Finance on the other hand, was awful.
To each their own.
Caveat, I know nothing about U of M's courses as I did not go there.
December 14th, 2021 at 10:42 PM ^
I went to UM and I found upper-level Econ classes very easy too.
December 14th, 2021 at 10:52 PM ^
Then I salute you! Bravo.
December 14th, 2021 at 11:38 PM ^
I think it just really depends on the person. I found it easy, but I don't think that it means that they're objectively so. (I'm a professor at a Research 1 public university, not in Econ, so I think about this stuff a lot)
December 15th, 2021 at 12:02 AM ^
Rara Avis.
Not to get toooo esoteric but I suspect that you would be treated well at the Federal Reserve. Meh salary but benefits beyond compare.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
I think he's playing Tetris.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
I believe that he meant "trust" when he tweeted "truss"
:)
December 14th, 2021 at 10:02 PM ^
Ooooh… you are a deep thinker!
December 14th, 2021 at 7:20 PM ^
Maybe he’s dealing with an injury?
December 14th, 2021 at 8:15 PM ^
Read the room, pal.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:23 PM ^
Michigan is going to win a Natty
December 14th, 2021 at 7:46 PM ^
truss that! ?
December 14th, 2021 at 10:29 PM ^
The fact that THAT is really possible... man. What a season!
December 14th, 2021 at 7:23 PM ^
He's just focused on the playoffs now and will turn to the draft next.
That or he is most definitely coming back to win a second national championship.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:23 PM ^
He's constipated.
December 14th, 2021 at 7:27 PM ^
Definately this. He should have some Taco Bell
December 14th, 2021 at 7:47 PM ^
From the movie Kung Pow: Enter the Fist
December 14th, 2021 at 7:28 PM ^
Is he contemplating whether to stay or go, whether to play or not play. Probably shouldn’t read too much into things. Twitter was kinda invented for posting random thoughts.
