Heisman Ceremony

Hutch for Heisman!!!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:16 PM ^
Some very cringe moments.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:26 PM ^
My thoughts exactly lol. The kids are there obviously to have fun and enjoy each other's company (rivals or not). The ESPN crew and Heisman trust are making everybody feel awkward.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:31 PM ^
The trash talk between Hutchinson and Stroud was only awkward because Stroud made it awkward. Easily could've laughed it off, but instead was stoic. Dude is either salty about the loss or just super awkward because dude has been a public mess ever since The Game and has made a fool of himself in front of the mic
December 11th, 2021 at 8:46 PM ^
Tebow made it better by complementing his outfit. Which is objectively, meh.
Chain is wack. But I supposed you've got to get that NIL ?.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:59 PM ^
Stroud does seem awfully awkward. Even his short interaction congratulating Young was weird. He is young though and maybe just overwhelmed with the attention. He’s definitely all blinged out tho.
December 12th, 2021 at 1:09 AM ^
Cut him some slack. Everyone knows the flu is at least a 3 week thing.
December 12th, 2021 at 1:09 AM ^
OSU QBs who lose to Michigan are not very popular in Columbus.
He is under a tremendous amount of pressure and not really handling it well.
Similar to how to he handles pressure on the field.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:17 PM ^
It annoys me how much ESPN is hyping Pickett's fake slide. That was one of the most chickenshit things I've ever seen. There's a reason the NCAA moved so fast to put an end to that.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:18 PM ^
ESPN: Look at this amaaaazing illegal move by the quarterback!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:26 PM ^
It wasn't illegal until today.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:31 PM ^
It should've been blown dead as the play was happening. They only made it a rule so it couldn't be a judgement call in the moment. The consensus seems to be that it was a pretty lame move in general so not sure why they're hyping it up lol
December 11th, 2021 at 8:36 PM ^
It wasn't illegal when it happened...why would it be blown dead?
Yeah, your whining about something that was a fluke situation and will likely never happen again in your lifetime...and if it does, it's likely to be blown dead because now it's not a legal move.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:51 PM ^
Hahahaha I thought a move was lame so I must be whining. The NCAA thought the move was so lame they instantly banned the move. Fine by me.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:29 PM ^
It was a slide, he just didn’t complete it. The refs should have blown the play dead at the very least.
December 12th, 2021 at 1:56 AM ^
Correct. The NCAA didn't make a new rule, they simply re-emphasized that the play is dead when the slide starts in any way. Pickett's fake slide was not legal at the time he did it.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:20 PM ^
It should have been blown dead because, by rule, the QB is down at the point where they begin their slide.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
pickett's charge > pickett's fakey fake fake slide
December 11th, 2021 at 8:25 PM ^
Relax.
You act like he does it all the time or knew this was the time to use the fake slide move he'd been practicing his whole life.
He went to slide, saw an opening and had enough athleticism to get out of it and keep running.
Illegal? Absolutely. But "chickenshit?"
That's bullshit because if JJ McCarthy did that everyone on this board would give him a pass, at worst (half of the board would celebrate it as instinctual - especially in a B1G championship game that we won).
I'm glad the rule is changed, it shouldn't be allowed, but some of you all are taking it personal and that's just weird.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:27 PM ^
I thought it was ingenious.
December 11th, 2021 at 10:34 PM ^
People who think otherwise might want to be careful, lest they start to find plutonium in their coffee.
December 12th, 2021 at 3:06 AM ^
Polonium.
But…hell…what are a few neutrons more or less?
December 11th, 2021 at 8:21 PM ^
My guess:
1) young
2) stroud
3) hutch
4) Pickett
possibly flip hutch and Pickett. They’re just not going to give a defensive player the award.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:27 PM ^
Young
Hutchinson
Stroud
Pickett
...Go Blue! We beat OSU, again!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
I think that’s likely the best case.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:29 PM ^
I see Day still can’t get that beard to grow in.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:30 PM ^
Fuck Ryan Day.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:46 PM ^
Well he was clean shaven at 5pm.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:49 PM ^
I made this comment before: if you can’t grow a full beard just roll with a goatee. It is okay Mr. Day. That poor excuse just adds to his rodent qualities.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:17 PM ^
Maybe spotty facial hair growth is a flu side effect?
December 11th, 2021 at 9:03 PM ^
Harbaugh sitting behind him. Hopefully he was whispering "you suck."
December 11th, 2021 at 8:25 PM ^
Aidan and CJ playing nice... weird.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:28 PM ^
We often forget they're only playing a game against each other.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:33 PM ^
CJ is just respecting daddy
December 11th, 2021 at 8:25 PM ^
wait, CJ got a basketball court for christmas?
December 11th, 2021 at 8:38 PM ^
I'm guessing it was a portable goal like a bunch of us got (with the sand or water in the base) and he just misspoke.
Unless he's some insanely rich kid, which, good food him.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:29 PM ^
When did William Riker start coaching OSU?
December 11th, 2021 at 8:29 PM ^
after Seth MacFarlane retired
December 11th, 2021 at 8:30 PM ^
Ryan Day looks like his face is made of wax.
December 11th, 2021 at 9:10 PM ^
He looks like that gerbil in the Kia commercial.
December 11th, 2021 at 11:39 PM ^
Lmao I’ve been trying to figure out why he looks so weird. I think you nailed it.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:31 PM ^
Everyone shhhhh!!! Aidan is on!!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:33 PM ^
Ryan Day's face is so tight during this segment.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:34 PM ^
pre-9-11 when i was still playing football we stayed at the downtown athletic club in NY where they had historically held the ceremony. we had a big welcome dinner in the 'heisman room'. dark wood panel, tons of history there. and all the heisman winners were on display except....OJ. it was a really cool club, the kind that won't ever be replicated again.
and we had some fun in NY, whew.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:35 PM ^
Man…Aiden…the Michigan faithful loves you and we thank you!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:48 PM ^
*Aidan.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
Has to be pretty awkward for Stroud to see Hutchinson and especially Day to see Harbaugh with all the talk about The Game during this ceremony. It is great!
December 11th, 2021 at 8:38 PM ^
However he finishes, the order of presentation gave Aidan, Coach Harbaugh and Michigan the last word over OSU. And "Blue Wall" rep, Chris Fowler, also there to rub some delicious salt in the wound.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:39 PM ^
Aidan will look great in the Heisman House commercials. He's got a Hollywood face.
December 11th, 2021 at 8:41 PM ^
Ryan Day will use this moment as fuel for the next 5 years...some recruit is about to get PAID tonight.
On a serious note, we're going to have to be ready, they're going to obsessed over this like nothing ever before.
I first had Utah winning, I've got OSU by double digits. Time to go raise our game!
