Parking at the golf course ?

Sadly, one of the hazards of living in a huge marsh with numerous overlapping watersheds is...well...the water, when there is a lot of it, and of course, there has been quite a bit this month. I mean, unless you want to end up recovering your car with excavating equipment and tow chains attached to the rear of a friend's truck....

Any idea how much more congested this will make the Packard/Stadium St. area at 10am? It's been fine for us but don't think we've come in with the golf course closed before.

Any update from Ann arbor golf and outing?

AAGO will be open, but limited due to damage to a few fairways. Management believes all members and season pass holders will be accommodated. That sounds like a crap shoot for public parking at AAGO.

Uuuggghhh. It's gonna be a disaster.

There's nothing yet on the AAGO website nor on their recorded message regarding parking restrictions tomorrow.
That said, I'd be surprised if the general public will be allowed to park there tomorrow given that the course just can't absorb any precipitation in late November.
(edit @ 11:12 am: the Michigan Athletics website does list AAGO as "members and passholders only".)

Does anybody have any ideas / suggestions? Park and Party is sold out.
Can you show up at Pioneer in the AM and get a spot? Any idea what time you have to be there?

If you have any chance of parking there, you'll need to get there by 6:30AM. Ann Arbor/Saline Road northbound, gets to be bumper to bumper from I-94 on that road which becomes Main Street at Bush's.
If you encounter that, try parking in the lots for much less $$ on the left or west side of the street if you are coming up from the south. It is about 6/10 of a mile to the SW stadium entrance.
Good luck and Go Blue!

The Gameday stage and associated semi trailers are taking up a huge chunk of real estate at Pioneer. That lot might be at 2/3 capacity.

Confirmed. I just drove by there and there is a large area cordoned off right in the center of the main parking area, including a portion of the paved area. A number of semi trailers, big stage, fan area, etc.
My advice is get here earlier than you normally do. The traffic is going to be hell and parking tighter than normal.

anyone know what the concrete part of the AA pioneer parking lot looks like currently? That lot is massive and we parked there for the washington game because it was the only public lot available..
outside of that if it isn't available we know a ladies house we typically go to that is a fraction of the cost of pioneer and other spots

The semis were taking up the portion on the northwest corner. The rest of the lot was empty as of a few hours ago.

Thanks as this is timely info. Maybe that rain on Thanksgiving day made the golf course too wet to accommodate all of the cars. Apparently, it was just enough.

That's bad news. Thankfully AAGO is open for pass holders.
I have an extra pioneer parking pass available if anyone needs it. Email me at [email protected]. happy to help out someone
EDIT: just passed along to a fellow wolverine go blue.

I'm coming to The Game from NY. In Little Italy right now in Cleveland, OH, having a little late lunch with the lady. We're heading to our hotel in Dundee, MI in a bit. Any tips on when to leave to get a good parking spot and/or where to park? Thanks!
Go blue!

From Dundee; might want to avoid Ann Arbor/Saline road exit unless are there by 6:30. Best bet is park in one of two lots on the left side of the street which also cost less, $30 vs 50-60 closer to the stadium.
Good luck and Go Blue!

I always thought as a contingency they should open up the mall for tailgating when the golf courses close
November 26th, 2021 at 2:43 PM ^
If you don't mind walking a mile to a mile and a half there is an abundance of free parking in all directions.

There's also free parking at the Briarwood Mall. I believe it's only a dollar each way for the shuttle bus before and after the game from the hotels on the east side of the mall.
