Michigan/Indiana Official Prediction Thread
It's almost that time! Michigan/Indiana kickoff Saturday under the lights in the Big House. What say you regarding the outcome of this game?
Prediction from the Palmetto state: UM - 34 IU 16
Michigan rushes for 250 yards +
McNamara continues to play well as All and Anthony lead with targets/receptions
Go Blue!

It would feel great to see a 49-7 thrashing but with the non-maize out night game in the cold and the mobile athlete at QB for the Hoosiers as well as the tendency to keep the car in the garage until Happy Valley I will go 34-20 Michigan.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:37 PM ^
Who is the mobile QB at Indinia? Isn't Penix injured? McCulley isn't really a mobile QB.
November 4th, 2021 at 6:14 PM ^
Alex Drain's FFFF says otherwise.
November 4th, 2021 at 7:09 PM ^
I'm looking through the stats and I just don't see it - 24 attempts for 21 yards (non-sack adjusted).

Michigan is gonna be motivated and want to make a statement. I think that they win comfortably!
November 4th, 2021 at 9:10 PM ^
Iowa, Penn St and Ohio St all blew Indiana completely away. Michigan can do the same.
November 5th, 2021 at 7:16 AM ^
I agree that they win comfortably. 38-13.
However, I have given up on "being motivated" or "wanting to win" or "wanting to make a statement." as rationales. We've seen 20+ years of disappointing football in situations where our teams should be motivated, want to win, or want to make statements.

is this that Deep Rut of Gloomy Sadness or whatever?
November 5th, 2021 at 4:49 AM ^
I predict the officials will not be as controversial as the last game.
November 4th, 2021 at 4:36 PM ^
55-27. I think Cade gets Michigan out to a 31 - 13 least by the half and JJ gets to play in the 2nd half.

CHARLIE DON'T RUN THE 4 MINUTE OFFENSE
November 4th, 2021 at 8:01 PM ^
unfortunately, michigan don't run the hurry-up defense, either....

Are you saying the Big House field will smell like napalm Sunday morning?

My soul dong: still sore from last week

Defense bounces back and pitches shutdown vs freshman qb 31-0
November 5th, 2021 at 8:11 AM ^
You could have IU for negative rushing yards. Their O-line is like a screen door on a submarine.
November 4th, 2021 at 4:44 PM ^
34-13 M
November 4th, 2021 at 4:47 PM ^
55-17 Michigan Cade is done by halftime JJ gets one series with the first team. I like this matchup for Michigan.
November 4th, 2021 at 4:47 PM ^
With an emphasis on scoring TDs instead of FGs, I think it will be a 38-13 kind of game
November 4th, 2021 at 4:54 PM ^
Indiana’s rush defense is pretty decent and I think they’ll join everyone else in trying to stop the run with 8 in the box. I think we run for less than 150 but pass for 350+. I think they’ll try tempo but it won’t work as well with a freshman qb that was third string.
37-16
November 4th, 2021 at 4:54 PM ^
Michigan - 34,000
Indiana - 19
November 4th, 2021 at 7:50 PM ^
You think we give up 19??
November 4th, 2021 at 4:55 PM ^
Indiana wins 27-23
November 4th, 2021 at 5:43 PM ^
They're playing Michigan not K State. I also know you want Harbaugh fired which isnt going to happen after this season.

We all have haters
Don't sweat it.
November 4th, 2021 at 4:55 PM ^
UM 35, IU 17.
November 4th, 2021 at 10:41 PM ^
Just seems about right. Could even be close (14-10) at half and UM steadily pulls away.
November 4th, 2021 at 4:58 PM ^
Its Indiana. Its going to be stupid. Its going to be #chaos.
Michigan will win, but at least the first quarter or two are going to be close because that's just what Indiana does.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:01 PM ^
31-23 Michigan
Turnovers, tempo issues, mistakes, etc keep the game closer than it should be. We don't look crisp or angry.
November 4th, 2021 at 8:05 PM ^
I hate this take. They will come out pissed and ready to go
November 4th, 2021 at 10:53 PM ^
I disagree. This is a much more sound and mentally strong Michigan team. We will execute well, though the play calling may be a bit wonky as we look to Penn State. I do see a conservative gameplan as a possibility, though we *should* be continuing to work on the passing game.
Michigan 30, Indiana 13.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:04 PM ^
Air Cade throws for 300+ and Michigan wins 47-10
Wow a vaccine thread made it to 50 posts before getting locked.

"immunization"

November 6th, 2021 at 11:25 AM ^
It's not FDA approved. Nobody is "immunized" there, fella. Have you taken your Comirnaty shot yet?
November 4th, 2021 at 7:55 PM ^
Many of us ran to it like kids after a broken pinata. Mods pulled the bat away before anyone got hit in the head.
November 4th, 2021 at 8:05 PM ^
Whenever I see them unlocked I am now going to speed run lock them until they completely go away.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:07 PM ^
45 - 13
Cade and the offense continue the showcase the revamped and lethal new passing game that showed up last week while the run game also benefits from the Indiana defense having to key in on our WR's and TE's. The defense bounces back against a struggling offense and the team starts to correct their redzone issues by being more aggressive on 4th downs calling plays with more misdirection, a la the play on 4th and 1 last week where MSU sprung Nailor down to the 1 yard line.
The team overall starts to sharpen their knives as beating Ohio State looks more and more possible (Ohio State only beat Penn State by 9 points in their home stadium at night, despite the Nittany Kitties having slightly broken QB, no run game and missing their best DL player).
November 4th, 2021 at 7:20 PM ^
The new lethal offensive passing game with Cade produced 2 Touchdowns. Lethal like you've never seen before.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:09 PM ^
38-14 our way. Indiana isn't what they were last year.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:19 PM ^
M: 34
IU: 21
November 4th, 2021 at 5:22 PM ^
Michigan 41
Indiana 17 (score a late touchdown)
looking to see if Michigan improves from last week. An important game that will define their character
November 4th, 2021 at 5:22 PM ^
24-10.
I'm not comfortable assigning a team to either number, though.
November 4th, 2021 at 5:25 PM ^
Isn’t All banged up? Get him healthy for Penn State.
Anthony continues his emergence as our #1 receiver, but Michigan goes back to the ground game where they’ll be more available against an inferior opponent.
I want to see them work on throwing the ball in the end zone in the red zone, but I’m not actually predicting that to happen.
The DL will have a strong game.
