Injuries against Nebraska
Curious, who were all the guys to leave the game last night with injury? I thought I heard them say Zinter & Filiaga. Accurate? Others? Anyone see any updates?
Seeing who we need to watch over next couple of weeks. Wilson only guy I knew out before the game. We really need him back. I like what he brings to the WR group. Need to get healthy for this stretch run starting with MSU.

I got injured fist pumping too hard on the final 4th down stop

you got a boo-boo? better rub some dirt on it, it'll be okay.

That's a believable excuse.

Not sure about our players, but Scott Frost looked pretty hurt at the end of the game.

Listed as butt-hurt for next week.

A common injury due to his ass being overtaken in the fourth quarter -- twice.

Overtaken by this. Ouch.

Brilliant
October 11th, 2021 at 7:52 AM ^
....actually in Scott's case, it is a congenital condition and more than likely hereditary - thank Scott's mom.

Atteberry played OG late, so at least 3 guards were dealing with something.
October 10th, 2021 at 11:47 PM ^
Keegan, Zinter and Filiaga.
Barnhart played RG when Zinter went out and Filiaga was already in for Keegan. Then he got hurt and Atteberry came in.
Harbaugh didn't seem to be worried about any of them long-term.
Comments around Wilson was they "hoped" to have him back for MSU. Sounds like it's a sprained wrist, which means he can't block.
The bye week came at a solid time, we need to heal up and rest for the week. We have a number of guys dealing with things that should be good to go after two weeks of treatment and no game in between. Wouldn't be surprised to see guys held out of the Northwestern game as well.
Seems like a great time to bring more guys along so they can be ready for the final 5 games.
The issue with Northwestern, is they're getting blown out now, but they're more than capable of losing a game 24 or 27-10. Which is a comfortable win, but not big enough to take your starters out before the 4th quarter.
If you're hoping for an entire half of 2nd teamers, I don't really see it. Especially because I think we'll be vanilla while trying to run over them with our base plays. I doubt we show anything before MSU.

Could be wrong, but I believe Keegan got benched. He was responsible for a couple brutal pressures and also a false start.
October 11th, 2021 at 9:29 AM ^
Keegan’s play suggested he was benched but Harbaugh said something about him having a sore something (shoulder maybe) before the game so maybe that explains his performance. And with regard to Zinter I think he just couldn’t do everything he needed to with his club hand, especially as we were throwing the ball a lot. Filiaga definitely got hurt. Haven’t seen anything about the severity.
October 11th, 2021 at 7:48 PM ^
He was benched because he was hurt and trying to play through it.

Your point is well taken but fretting over only beating Northwestern by two touchdowns is Peak Michigan Fandom.
October 11th, 2021 at 7:51 PM ^
I wasn't "fretting," I was merely pointing out that while some may want to see 2nd teamers for a whole half...I wouldn't hold my breath.
That had absolutely nothing to do with BPONE and it's lame that everyone has to turn every comment into that.

The only FBS team that hasn’t absolutely demolished Northwestern is Duke. Duke is terrible and still won easily. Without smile Hankwitz as DC, the defense has absolutely fallen apart, and the offense is worse than usual.
October 11th, 2021 at 7:52 PM ^
Even Duke was beating the BREAKS off NW for at least a half. Go back and look.

Can we stop with this? They can run any and everything they have already run plus some new wrinkles. State and anyone after State has tape for every game we have played this year. It's just as hard to prepare for everything you've seen as it is for what you might see. Just run your offense and defense efficiently.
October 11th, 2021 at 7:54 PM ^
Uh no.
Every coaching staff in America does this...so no, I don't think Michigan or any other team preparing for a rivalry game is going to stop doing this.
When Bama plays East Arkansas Tech and Auburn plays Western Missouri A&M before the Iron Bowl...they're going to keep it as vanilla as possible.
Michigan can respect its opponent and not show anything new for MSU. Those things aren't mutually exclusive.

Harbaugh mentioned all those guys (including Roman) in his presser saying that he doesn’t expect them to be long term and that the bye week is big for getting them back.
October 10th, 2021 at 11:29 PM ^
Harbaugh said that he didn't think they would be out long. I saw Zinter and Filiaga afterward, and they both appeared to be walking without difficulty.

The bulk of the team is hurt, except for Michael Barrett.
Thankfully, he's all we need to win.
October 11th, 2021 at 12:11 AM ^
Rumor has it he’s now our backup placekicker, replaced Ben Herbert as S&C Coordinator, and has begun construction on a new practice facility he designed himself and is building by hand.
October 11th, 2021 at 4:14 AM ^
Except he blew the interception on that tipped pass to Oliver Martin. At least according to Blackledge. 23, 22? What's the difference?
October 11th, 2021 at 9:29 AM ^
But that's how you know it WASN'T him! If that had been THE MICHAEL BARRETT slashing in, it would have been a pick six.
October 11th, 2021 at 10:11 AM ^
If it was Michael Barrett on the interception, it would have been a pick twelve.

Also making sandwiches for the team and driving the bus on road trips like Eddie Robinson at Grambling.

Barrett earning his shield is the only way to make up for Cade’s cyan

Michael Barrett's FFFF shield will be made of vibranium.

Did you know that Michael Barrett is only one of three people who Chuck Norris respects.

I hope this becomes a recurring joke for the rest of the season.

Looked like Johnson got dinged up in the 4th. Not sure if he finished the game. Anyone know?
October 11th, 2021 at 8:26 AM ^
Luckily we've got a bye and NW before MSU so guys should be able to rest up for a few weeks that we don't need since NW is pretty bad.
October 11th, 2021 at 1:14 PM ^
We re-watched a couple plays that were blown up early and Keegan didn't even try to block. Let guy across go right in backfield and went towards a LB and weakly missed at an attempt to hit him. Both players made the tackle. Saw that very similar a couple times. Was shocked...happy when Filliaga replaced him. Trevor is usually solid so maybe he's hurt but give some effort please!
