Noon games, feature game Oklahoma at Texas
This should be the good one, Oklahoma is favored:
But Texas is quickly improving. Steve Sarkisian hired a very good staff of coaches. Has his DC Pete Kwiatkowski done enough in the first 5 games to be ready for Oklahoma's offense? In previous years I'd give an automatic no. But Oklahoma is not like they've been in recent years. They are vulnerable. I mean, they struggled with Nebraska and and worse with West Virginia. Oklahoma fans have been clamoring for QB Spencer Rattler to be replaced. By Oklahoma standards he has been underwhelming. Texas' offense is starting to look exciting. And the game is at Texas. They just might pull it off.
Noon also has State at Rutgers, and Maryland at Ohio St. State has a bad defense, so Rutgers might give it a run, or I'm hoping they do. I have zero hope in Maryland. I never believed the hype to begin with. They had that exciting 20-17 win over Illinois. How could I not have gotten on that hype train before the Ohio St game!
Arkansas at Ole Miss, South Carolina at Tennessee, West Virginia at Baylor, and Northern Illinois at Toledo might be fairly good games. QB Hendon Hooker at Tennessee is turning out to be pretty decent. The offense moves, and scores, with him in.

Isn't this where the obligatory 'Xavier Worthy' thread should be? I mean, two recent posts highlighting this OU-UT game, and not one mention of Worthy - and he even got Game Day exposure a few minutes ago!!!

The funny thing about him, is he doesn't play like a true freshman. His play looks more like a more experienced junior. He must be hitting it off well with Steve Sarkasian and WRs coach Andre Coleman. Sarkisian really did put together a great coaching staff.
This 10 minute video is a background on all of them:

I guess the OP didn't think he was worthy.

95 degrees at kickoff, on October 9th?
October 9th, 2021 at 11:51 AM ^
The Red River Rivalry is at the Cotton Bowl, a neutral site with a 50/50 crowd.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:04 PM ^
For like ten straight years, we never got to see this game because it was always on the exact same time as a Michigan game. But the last several years, we're finally been on different start times. It's a fun one to watch.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:06 PM ^
Well, it's in Texas. In 2016 LSU played Wisconsin in a neutral sight, Green Bay. It was probably more of a home field advantage for Wisconsin at Green Bay than at Madison. But maybe there is some neutrality at this field for Oklahoma.

October 9th, 2021 at 12:09 PM ^
Very nice TFL for Rutgers on 3rd dowb, on the first State drive, State goes for the fake on the field goal, and doesn't get it. GO RUTGERS!!!
October 9th, 2021 at 12:12 PM ^
Fuck, we could have used Xavier Worthy tonight.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:12 PM ^

Keep chopping!
October 9th, 2021 at 12:19 PM ^
Fuck. We’re going to get nut punched for 3 straight years hearing about Xavier Worthy, aren’t we? Identify your coping mechanisms now.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:19 PM ^
Touchdown Rutger!!
October 9th, 2021 at 12:20 PM ^
Tagovailoa missed a wide open receiver for a TD, Maryland has to settle for a FG.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:21 PM ^
Sparty no
October 9th, 2021 at 12:21 PM ^
Good thing Worthy couldn’t get into Michigan in January like he wanted, we really dodged a bullet with his lack of talent.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:22 PM ^
The OU-Texas game at the Cotton Bowl is a great tradition, but I would hate to pull the biggest rivalry game off campus every year. If you had to schedule a Michigan game to have at a neutral site, which would it be? Obviously not Ohio State or MSU. Maybe a Brown Jug game in the fancy new stadium in Minneapolis? They played in the Metrodome for 30 years, so it's not like there is much tradition of playing at the new university stadium. Or, an out of conference game with a home-road-neutral setup?
October 9th, 2021 at 12:46 PM ^
OU vs Texss has been been played in Dallas all but 3 times since 1912. It's pretty much always been a neutral site game.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:26 PM ^
"Confirmed" on the out of bounds??
October 9th, 2021 at 12:27 PM ^
Michigan State offense looks good.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:28 PM ^
Sparty with the quick strike to tie it at 7. Hopefully Rutgers can respond.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:28 PM ^
That was an embarrassing play by Texas- guys falling off the RB. Standard Big 12 defense.
It’ll be interesting to see the no defense/all offense philosophy go to the SEC
October 9th, 2021 at 12:29 PM ^
RU offense carving up Sparty defense since I started watching.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:33 PM ^
Spartans looking good now. Their passing attack seems to be strong.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:36 PM ^
RU got spanked last week. I am not surprised.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:35 PM ^
They've got Reed and Nailor.
October 9th, 2021 at 12:36 PM ^
It's going to be a long day in the Cotton Bowl at this rate...
