...and excited to watch Brady tonight.

Finally, my Bills win a Playoff game!
January 9th, 2021 at 4:45 PM ^
Hats off to the Bills - great game today. How the Bills were not awarded that obvious fumble after that eternal review truly boggles the mind. Thankfully it didn’t change the outcome of the game - but as a Colts fan, I wouldn’t mind winning on behalf of one of the worst calls in NFL history.
Allen is an incredible player - good luck to the Bills next weekend!
January 9th, 2021 at 5:02 PM ^
My tv was on mute, but I saw the replays and it was 100% obviously a fumble. Did the referees explain why they didn't award a fumble to Buffalo? If they lost that game because of that call, then those referees should be fired right away.
January 9th, 2021 at 5:07 PM ^
?- zero explanation. Just a FIVE minute review and then ‘the call on the field stands’. Indy Matt and I were laughing at the unfathomable sports injustice. It is probably the most obvious missed review I have ever seen. When I watched the play live, I was 100% sure that that was a fumble. And then after watching the replay during the five minute review about 10 times, my certainty went, as the recruits say, to 110% committed. And then... the call stood. Even though it did not change the outcome: That guy should still be fired.
January 9th, 2021 at 5:49 PM ^
Agreed. Now the Bills know what it feels like to be the Lions when it comes to a possible crucial game deciding review.
January 9th, 2021 at 6:24 PM ^
Why do we even bother with replays anymore? I am neither a Bills nor a Colts fan, for the record, so no bias on this. We had clear camera angles on the play. The player was NOT down. It WAS a fumble. The Bills recovered. And after 5 minutes of clear, convincing HD evidence being replayed over and over, the referee ... did not reverse the call made on the field. The whole purpose of replay is to get the call right not to lock in stone the wrong call. Maybe the NFL should do what the NHL does: throw the decision into a central HQ somewhere with lots of monitors, start a countdown timer so it doesn't drag on forever, and then be done with it.
January 9th, 2021 at 5:38 PM ^
Bills definitely got hosed on the fumble non-call, good to see that the blown all didn't cost them the game.
Would love to see the Bills win the whole thing.

I don't have a dog in the Seahawks/Rams game.
On the one hand, Sean McVay seems like a really really smart offensive mind. But I have an irrational dislike of Goff...but he's out this game.
On the other hand, fuck Pete Carroll. But Russell Wilson is a really good QB, even though he seems like a bit of a bro off the field.
I guess I'll go with, "I just hope both teams have fun." :)
January 9th, 2021 at 4:50 PM ^
Watching the Colts do a 2-minute still reminded me of the Lions. Except I think Stafford would have done a better job.
January 9th, 2021 at 4:55 PM ^
Seems like rivers doesn’t have much arm strength left. Hail Mary was short even if a moon shot.
January 9th, 2021 at 5:05 PM ^
Probably the end for Rivers.
January 9th, 2021 at 6:07 PM ^
Unfortunate, but likely true.
January 9th, 2021 at 6:19 PM ^
Would have been a good tributary to him if he won.
January 9th, 2021 at 7:08 PM ^
Considering his big mouth, I think it would've been more of an estuary.
January 9th, 2021 at 7:25 PM ^
Distributary, maybe?
January 9th, 2021 at 5:04 PM ^
Brian Mone sighting...good for him. Imagine if the DC actually utilized NFL caliber players at DT.
January 9th, 2021 at 8:08 PM ^
He must not have been the practice hero. More favoritism.

Schefter reporting that Alex Smith is inactive tonight.
January 9th, 2021 at 6:32 PM ^
I’m inactive tonight too. Sittin’ on the couch with a beer.
January 9th, 2021 at 5:55 PM ^
Terrible review. Allen is real deal. Rivers last two passes before the Hail Mary were pitiful. Loved Buffalo's two AFL's Championships. Still can see Stratton's hit on Keith Lincoln.
January 9th, 2021 at 6:20 PM ^
I don't understand how Goff can be able to throw or hold the ball less than 2 weeks after thumb surgery, that's remarkable.
The hit on Wolford would have been an ejection in college but wasn't even a penalty in the NFL, that's messed up.
January 9th, 2021 at 6:28 PM ^
It’s hard to get into the NFL playoffs without the Lions in the postseason
January 9th, 2021 at 6:42 PM ^
I'm a Bengals fan and feel the same way. LOL
January 9th, 2021 at 7:18 PM ^
Thoughts on Marvin Lewis to the Lions? I tend to think of him as the defensive version of Jim Caldwell but admittedly am making that judgment from afar.
January 9th, 2021 at 8:37 PM ^
He's a great guy, but seems to be too much of a players coach and I think the game has passed him up. He could never beat the Steelers or win a playoff game, so he's basically just like Jim Harbaugh in that regard.
January 9th, 2021 at 8:45 PM ^
Kinda curious what happened during the Saleh interview. There seem to be conflicting reports about whether or not it was very positive. I’m a Niners guy, and our boards and insiders are reporting it went “very bad.” One insider related that a rumor is circulating Saleh needed to be escorted out of the Detroit offices by security(!!!). I’m not sure if that’s confirmed or not...
I did pop onto a Lions board, and their insiders were saying it went “well.” Either way, whatever the heck happened, it all seems pretty strange!
January 9th, 2021 at 9:15 PM ^
The only way I can see it having gone poorly is if he acted entitled to the job. He's well aware that he's the favorite son and preferred choice of the fans, so he could've come off like he was doing them a favor, which definitely would've rubbed Sheila, Spielman, and Wood the wrong way.
But the Lions leaked that report for a reason. If they're more enamored of another candidate, they needed to prepare the fanbase for it going sideways with Saleh.
January 9th, 2021 at 11:33 PM ^
I read this and immediately went to the Det News looking for a story. It said that Saleh interviewed virtually...?
January 9th, 2021 at 7:48 PM ^
Im sorry that your last invested playoff game ended on Brandon Pettigrew not attacking the ball.
January 9th, 2021 at 11:10 PM ^
The fuck is an invested playoff game?

Nevermind

Where are my fellow cheese heads? I like a matchup with LA moreso than the bucs next week, what say you?
January 9th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Here they are..
January 9th, 2021 at 7:27 PM ^
of course you'd rather play the rams. goff's thumb is attached with screws put in 12 days ago, the second string kid went off with a neck injury serious enough to take him to the hospital in a neck collar, and donald isn't playing with a rib injury. if goff reinjures the thumb, i think they said the punter would be the 'next man' QB.
January 9th, 2021 at 7:40 PM ^
Johnny Hekker has a cannon, XM. McVay would have him ready.
January 9th, 2021 at 8:02 PM ^
And Kopp just went limping off
January 9th, 2021 at 7:19 PM ^
Just turned on the Rams game, surprised to see the Rams up 7 heading into the 4th. Give Goff credit for playing. Still expecting Seattle to pull it out.
January 9th, 2021 at 7:47 PM ^
What a call by McVay. 2 and 4, 430 or so left on the clock, calls a play action pass..TD.
appreciate the play-to-win play calling

It's time for the Fighting Tom Bradys vs the Not Quite As Racist As We Used To Be Team
January 9th, 2021 at 9:12 PM ^
I sort of like the WFT bit. Seems tough and aggressive to not have a mascot. Of course, it sort of feels like they are being tough and aggressive against marginalized groups who dared to complain. Not really a fan of that.
January 9th, 2021 at 8:17 PM ^
After seeing Sean McVay run up and down the sidelines, there may be a place in the NFL for Fleck after all, lol.
January 9th, 2021 at 8:22 PM ^
Chase Young was invisible on that first drive by TB/TB - but I am sure his mouth was running

Tampa Bay defense is not very good. They are making this dude look like a Super Bowl caliber qb
January 9th, 2021 at 9:38 PM ^
The only way Washington keeps the ball is if they rules the QB was in the grasp. I saw the ball was out before he hit the turf, and a clear recovery by Tampa.
And...the refs blew the call.
January 9th, 2021 at 9:45 PM ^
This will be an interesting comparison. Rivers had the ball on his team's 30s with a little less than 90 seconds left in the game and no TO down 3. The Colts squandered the clock, never reaching FG range.
Now Brady gets the ball with 82 seconds in the half, and... doesn't complete a pass.
OK, maybe Rivers isn't a total bum.
