5* and #1 Overall WR commits to OSU
Unreal that they are recruited at a higher level WITHOUT Urban.

Hartline doing his thing
December 11th, 2020 at 8:57 PM ^
Someone needs to hire this guy as an OC ASAP
December 11th, 2020 at 10:16 PM ^
He’s a douche.
December 11th, 2020 at 10:18 PM ^
Lots of douche coaches have championship rings.
December 11th, 2020 at 10:31 PM ^
It’d be nice if we had Domani Jackson and Will Johnson, with a solid DB coach, to cover him.
December 12th, 2020 at 2:03 AM ^
At least we have the #9 class for 2021 so far. But yeah, I'm shocked we haven't gotten a single 4* CB in the class. I'm thinking that we get a new DB coach for next season
December 12th, 2020 at 10:17 AM ^
Yah, but if Harbaugh continues to keep us in limbo, we aren’t going to get anyone.
Time to go JH.
December 11th, 2020 at 10:44 PM ^
... and?
December 11th, 2020 at 8:25 PM ^
Whattttt?! An elite WR that didn’t wanna come here?!
December 12th, 2020 at 6:32 AM ^
People here love to still talk about Braylon like he was catching touchdowns last week smh
December 12th, 2020 at 12:18 PM ^
Braylon was only a three star
December 11th, 2020 at 8:27 PM ^
It’s unreal, they are playing on easy mode. The art of football, while we make it so hard.
December 11th, 2020 at 10:45 PM ^
I sooooooo fucking hate how right you are.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:27 PM ^
Bag man strikes again.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:42 PM ^
Everyone knows he really wanted to come here and be a part of this electrifying offense, but the money was too much to refuse. He’ll regret it when he’s stuck playing for championships while our boys are home enjoying the holidays with their family.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:52 PM ^
Who cares?
December 11th, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
Oh c'mon. Ohio State doesn't use bag men. It's 2020, CashApp is how teams funnel money to recruits.

December 11th, 2020 at 11:07 PM ^
Yes let’s just stick with the whole “We do it the RIGHT way at UM” narrative. We see how incredibly successful that approach has been over the last decade plus.
December 12th, 2020 at 9:28 AM ^
It's all about hiring the right COLLEGE coach that can relate to kids and their parents - not some weirdo that has a hard time making sense, starting shit up with other colleges/coaches, loving sleepovers, and trying to gain attention with his stupid effing satellite recruiting camps, his overseas trips....... Do I need to go on ? Our school is now a national joke to everyone - including many of the elite recruits
In contrast, starting with Tressel (God I hate him), OSU goes about business in a lethal way and kids notice the difference. You can bet - when recruiting against UM - they use all of the above BS against us.
December 12th, 2020 at 10:19 AM ^
I don't remember everybody on here screaming about bagmen when we pulled the #1 WR a few years ago but now that OSU does it and people cry fowl? Makes way more sense for the #1 WR to go to OSU than Michigan.
December 12th, 2020 at 10:33 AM ^
BS and we know it... Kids want to play at OSU—pro pipeline, and a great life after football program.... We need to look within— A Michigan degree, though prestigious, isn’t enough.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:31 PM ^
stacking elite WR's like its nothing....must be nice.
December 11th, 2020 at 11:18 PM ^
Actually, UM has nothing to worry about until OSU gets a commitment from the #1 QB. Then that could be lethal.
December 12th, 2020 at 1:31 AM ^
Didn't Ewers already commit to them?
December 12th, 2020 at 1:51 AM ^
Uh, yeah, he was being droll.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:32 PM ^
Well drag my nuts across the ground and color me surprised.
December 12th, 2020 at 8:03 PM ^
Ouch.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:36 PM ^
Yeah... why the hell not?
December 11th, 2020 at 8:37 PM ^
Meanwhile, UM has starters transferring out and an idiot AD and head coach.
The gap continues to get wider and wider.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:44 PM ^
And will keep getting wider
December 11th, 2020 at 9:16 PM ^
Like OP’s mom
December 12th, 2020 at 12:12 AM ^
Fuck you Warde, if you really cared for this school, program, and tradition of Michigan, you would take some action NOW as opposed to just sitting on your hands.
December 12th, 2020 at 7:42 AM ^
How do you know Warde isn't taking action? Because he hasn't bothered to put you in the loop? Warde is in the process of a multi-million dollar decision and it would be beyond stupid to publicly tip his hand. If you owned stock in a company, would you expect the CEO to divulge all his strategic plans in the process of a merger? Hopefully you'd be smart enough to realize that revealing such information would weaken the CEOs negotiating position which, in the long run, is bad for you.
The only definitive thing he can do now is extend Harbaugh. Even if Harbaugh gets extended later, that doesn't mean Warde messed up by not doing it now. There could be valid reasons for the delay, such as Warde was having back channel communications with a replacement coach and determined it was better to extend JH. Although if it goes down that way, I'm sure you and your ilk will roast him regardless.

We use to be a good if not sometimes very good program and now me are mediocre at best. I'm tired of this shit for the last 5+ years:
- 0-5 vs OSU, with the 2 worst losses ever
- 3-3 vs MSU
- 0 B1G titles, not even playing in the B1G title game let alone CFP
- best road win is against #20 Northwestern
- 1-4 in bowl games
- 0-15 when Michigan is an underdog
- 2-12 vs. top 10 teams
- worst halftime deficit in Michigan stadium history & 2nd worst loss ever at home
- home loss to an 0-5 team
- 4 straight home losses
- talented players transferring / leaving the program early
- inability to recruit and develop certain position groups
- 4th highest paid coach in the country
December 12th, 2020 at 10:12 AM ^
I agree. Time for a change. My point is just because it isn't publicly known (in fact it would be unwise to make it publicly known until it is very far along/complete) doesn't mean Warde isn't working on it.
Who knows what really happened and if it would have worked out. But, as an example - Les Miles to M might have tanked because it got out too early.

I honestly thought their recruiting would take a downward slide after losing Urban. Hell. just the opposite. Them and Bama are leaving everyone in the dust in 2021. I read that both have a shot at breaking Urban / OSU's all time recruit / average on the 247 Composite of 94.59.
And don't look at their 2022 class commitments if you don't want to be sick. They have 9 and its actually blowing their 2021 class out of the water with a 95.64. It could end up being the highest rated recruiting class ever.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:48 PM ^
It *will end up
December 11th, 2020 at 8:45 PM ^
Bama and OSU each have 12 of the top 100 players (per 24/7.) Couldn't stomach looking any further.
December 11th, 2020 at 8:52 PM ^
Then don't look at their 2022 class. It makes their 2021 class look like garbage
December 11th, 2020 at 8:56 PM ^
College football is capitalism to the nth degree. The rich get richer every year, and the other 115 teams are just left to pick up the pieces and fight for whatever is left over.
Not a political argument, but college football loses its luster when Clemson, OSU or Alabama are your predetermined title winners essentially every year, and everyone else is a distant, distant second place.
December 11th, 2020 at 9:10 PM ^
I’m actually starting to get bored with college football. I never thought I’d say that. But it’s getting a little too top heavy.
December 11th, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
That’s why I love March Madness and college basketball. It’s filled with Cinderellas that make the Final Four at least once every few years. All you need to do is just get into the tournament, and then any team can get hot on any night and then boom, they’re steps away from playing for it all.
It’s not the same cast of characters (Duke, UNC, UK, KU, MSU) in the Final Four every year. In many years none of them are there. Can’t say the same at all for college football. Same 3-4 teams every single year.
December 12th, 2020 at 7:54 AM ^
This is why an 8 team playoff is needed. More teams/fan bases will be more engaged throughout the year.
December 12th, 2020 at 8:41 AM ^
I mean sure, they can have an 8 playoff and more teams will get in. But it is still going to be Alabama, Clemson, And OSU making it to the semis and then playing for it all. Michigan would get in every few years but I’d have a hard time seeing them every get past the first round.
The distance between those top 3 and everyone else, year to year, is the size of the Grand Canyon. That’s just not going to change without some massive, fundamental shift in the game, how it’s played, and how recruiting works. I have no idea what that would look like, but if you want something to really change, that’s what would need to happen.
December 12th, 2020 at 8:55 AM ^
Lol "Michigan would get in every few years." When is the last time we were ranked 8 or above end of season?
Answer: 2006 11-2 Carr Team.
We are usually 4th place or lower in the Big Ten.
December 12th, 2020 at 8:12 AM ^
A little top heavy? 24 playoff spots in the 6 year history. Alabama and Clemson have claimed 10 of those. Oklahoma has 4 and OSU has 3. So those 4 teams have 17 appearances, everyone else in the country has 7 combined. 18 games have been played. Clemson and Alabama have won 6 a piece. Everyone else in the country has won 6 combined. 6 champions. Alabama and Clemson have 2 a piece. Everyone else in the country have 2 combined.
It is now beyond boring and has ruined college football. They need to try something different -- a 16 team field? Top 2 in each P5 conference auto qualify. 2 G5 teams auto qualify. No more than 3 from a conference. Either eliminate conference championship games or incorporate them as the first round since top 2 from each P5 conference qualify. This would require on more week of play. If that is intolerable, then start playoffs after 11 weeks and figure out how handle 12th week for non-playoff teams.
