Michigan 25.5 point favorite over MSU
Actually opened as 23.5 most places and quickly got bet up, in which it’s 25.5 at most shops now

Never take them lightly after the Number 1 vs No one game. Smash them into the ground.
October 26th, 2020 at 11:16 AM ^
Sweep the leg. No mercy.

I'm taking the over all damn day
October 25th, 2020 at 6:38 PM ^
Has there been a spread this wide in this rivalry ?
Also. Wow.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:57 PM ^
It must have been pretty big in 2002 when Bobby Williams was sitting on a scalding hot seat and Jeff Smoker suspended for illicit recreational activity.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
Besides living up to his name, Smoker was reportedly also a snorter.
October 25th, 2020 at 11:24 PM ^
Smoke Green, Snort White!
October 26th, 2020 at 7:30 AM ^
i can 100% verify that Smoker was a huge fan of the white stuff... had a friend back in Windsor that dated Smoker for a couple of months in the summer of 2002 and she confirmed that he "loved cocaine"...
October 26th, 2020 at 11:01 AM ^
It is a helluva drug.

Inject gold
October 25th, 2020 at 11:43 PM ^
That was the one that first came to mind. That was like, what, 49-3 and it felt inevitable it was going to be that bad all week. I'd be shocked if that was less than a 4 TD line.
What was last years line? Seems like that should have been at least three TDs.
October 26th, 2020 at 9:33 AM ^
Yes, 49-3. MSU actually opened the scoring and then it was all Michigan. I remember fans yelling "Strip him!" when MSU was trying to run out the clock at the very end, to get us one more possession and 50+ points.
October 26th, 2020 at 10:00 AM ^
Last year's line was about Michigan as a 13.5 point favorite
October 26th, 2020 at 12:33 PM ^
2002 was MSU +15
Largest line in series was '92, MSU + 28. Michigan did not cover (35-10)
Other two over 20:
1991 (+26.5) - Michigan won 45-28 after being up 45-14
2016 (+24.5) - Michigan won 32-23 after being up 30-10
I'd take MSU here, they won't turn the ball over 7 times again, should have a scripted drive and trick play or two. More reasonable line would be 17-20.

Where's Jemele Hill these days? She was intolerable after their fluke punt 6 win.
Happy to see reversion to the mean.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:45 PM ^
She was such a terrible "analyst" and an example of how espn and fox sports choose loudmouth obnoxious characters like Stephen Smith and skip bayless instead of journalists. I even appreciate pardon the interruption where they go over sports news while mostly speaking in a normal tone.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:51 PM ^
Ok i agree but stephen a smith has had some objectively funny moments.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:31 PM ^
Shut up, Toby.

Painful to watch her....
October 25th, 2020 at 7:09 PM ^
I have friends at ESPN. So let me tell you with great confidence that she was shit canned. Sleep well tonight.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:21 PM ^
She currently writes for The Atlantic.
October 25th, 2020 at 7:40 PM ^
And has a podcast series now ongoing recapping The Wire , presenter by The Ringer .
October 25th, 2020 at 8:42 PM ^
How do you get a job recapping a show that ended 12 years ago?
October 26th, 2020 at 10:04 AM ^
Not sure. I admit that I just happened to be rewatching The Wire also so I've tuned into a few episodes. It's not bad as the co-host is good. But yeah, she sucks to the max overall.
October 25th, 2020 at 8:15 PM ^
And a show on Vice.
October 25th, 2020 at 8:33 PM ^
She's on Twitter blaming black men for all of societies ills.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:17 PM ^
Always easier to blame others instead of asking what one can do on their own to make society better.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:11 PM ^
She WAS intolerable during Sparty's glory-moment. But she has since used her platform to fight for BLM and against Trumpism, and she has earned my respect. Unlike many talking heads and unlike the frat-dudes who populate sports reporting, she has the stones to stick up for what she believes in, whether it's Sparty football or social equality.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:14 PM ^
Thank you for providing your two cents to MGoBlog, Jemele.
October 25th, 2020 at 9:20 PM ^
I agree. Her sports takes seemed like homerism. Since leaving ESPN, however, she has been a more thoughtful and reasoned social critic.
October 25th, 2020 at 10:00 PM ^
Seconded--I love Jemele Hill's social criticism. She is a dynamic voice.
October 26th, 2020 at 9:58 AM ^
She and her dynamic voice can lick the sweat off my balls. Fuck her, and fuck Sparty!
October 26th, 2020 at 7:04 AM ^
I think her writing's fantastic in general. I think there's quite a few people who are fearful of talking about racism/antiracism and I appreciate that she's authentic about it.
October 26th, 2020 at 9:14 AM ^
No one has a problem talking about race. The issue seems to be with anyone listening.
October 26th, 2020 at 9:11 AM ^
Someone being obnoxious after their team beats a rival? That's crazy talk.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:41 PM ^
I had already predicted UofM would win this game 45 to 20 - I didn't realize that technically I would be picking MSU with the points.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:44 PM ^
Pessimist ...
October 26th, 2020 at 6:46 AM ^
Man, if we give up 20 to these guys, that spells trouble for when we face a real QB
October 26th, 2020 at 9:16 AM ^
I've got to ask, how do you think MSU is going to score 20 points on us when we just held Minnesota to 24? I know Sparty will come in motivated, but this looks to be the worst MSU team in two decades.
They're getting housed this Saturday.
October 26th, 2020 at 12:49 PM ^
I think we win handily, but I don't see them turning the ball over 7 times...which is why the spread is so huge.
October 25th, 2020 at 6:44 PM ^
Tucker was totally tanking Rutgers game on purpose to lower our expectations and prepping for the Michigan game as he knows his job rests on consistently beating Michigan. Or they suck. Doesn’t matter either way as I’ll enjoy watching that tire fire of a program suffer the next several seasons with regular beat downs at the hands of the Wolverines. Fuck Staee
October 25th, 2020 at 9:13 PM ^
Must be a pretty charismatic coach to get your team to turn the ball over 6 times against Buttgers in the name of upsetting Big Brother on week 2
