This is the skit where Desmond’s reference came from for anyone that might be unaware.
It was also a great excuse to skirt the OT rules slightly as well...

No way. They stole that from Guy Smiley.

That was just about as weird and poorly executed as Harbaugh’s anaconda word salad in that interview...

I just want to let you know that you get on my nerves with your posts. I imagine you ate a tight ass IRL.

I heard " Is Desmond Howard, Djokavic?'

Rese Rece. Hey - how did the title get edited? Now it is spelled correctamundo. Did a thread-edit key suddenly appear or did the Mods take care of it?
Choke a bitch, Djokovic but is Choke a Bitch.

Ah, damnit. Neg me here.
Edit - Mod must have changed it.

Not necessary when you see the error of your ways with contrition.

Desmond just apologized for Wayne Brady "Gonna have to Choke a Bitch" comment so you are correct!

Nothing will ever top when Lee Corso said "Arkansas shot their wad"
Herbstreit, under his breath: "can you say that on television?"
August 24th, 2019 at 11:35 AM ^
Or when he grabbed one mascot head (megaphone), then said "fuck it" and switched to the other one.

Hilariously enough, Corso was actually right in that the term has not always had a dirty connotation. And Corso may have grown up when muskets were common, so perhaps it was the only meaning of the term he was aware of. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=shot%20my%20wad

I watch those game warden shows on animal planet. Shot gun shells still have a wad.

I had a professor say this once and nearly spit out the coffee I wasn't drinking. I later looked it up and the original meaning refers to gambling. Like taking a shot with your wad of money.

His response to Herbstreit was "Yeah! I don't know....sure!"

It's not just the endless talk about Michigan / OSU, but Disney itself does this to people, I believe. It is a depressing place where people wait in horrific lines for overpriced food or merchandise or for typically underwhelming attractions, and I think that causes these sorts of outbursts on occasion.

It's the grab your wallet before you are broke eating in the Magic Kingdom Syndrome.

YOU TAKE THAT BACK!!!! You can't talk about Disney like that - they're creating magic for your children! Magic you can believe in!!! Assimilate!! I mean, SMILE!!!

Gotta stick up for Disney here.
Too bad on your jaded, negative view of things. To lump all of Disney in the way you did is really an easy cheap shot.
About 1% of Disney visitors have that feeling. They have one of the highest CSAT ratings and repeat visitor ratings for resorts and hotels.
I’ve visited WDW many times and always felt the experience at both the parks and resorts well worth the money. Long lines are really experienced by those that don’t research the best times to go or aren’t saavy enough to use one of the apps.
I’m sorry you had the experiences you seem to obviously have had.
August 24th, 2019 at 1:51 PM ^
I visited and found it to be a complete waste of time as a 7 year old then again as a 13 year old and again as a 20 year old. Disney is boring and dull. I’ve been more entertained by a dial tone.
August 24th, 2019 at 2:11 PM ^
I'm going to try to as a 38 year old for the first time, so I'll let you know.
August 24th, 2019 at 3:05 PM ^
I went during the first week of May a few years ago, and that was a fabulous time to go. Spring breaks are done, schools aren't out yet, it's not ungodly hot yet, so we had good weather and short lines for everything. I was in my early 30s at the time and had a lot of fun. I think the longest I waited for anything was 20 minutes, walked right on to a lot of things, and my average wait time was 5-10 minutes. I've heard September/October isn't a bad time to go either.
August 24th, 2019 at 5:08 PM ^
I went to Disneyland the last weekend in September last year and it was unbearably crowded. They were turning people away. Completely unenjoyable experience it was so crowded.
August 24th, 2019 at 2:58 PM ^
Universal Studios Orlando and Islands of Adventure are a way better park for your money. The rides are better, lines are not as long, prices are not as insane. As an MCU fan they actually have the rights to use Marvel characters on the east side of the Mississippi (look up the complicated history on the theme park rights of Marvel characters in theme parks).
August 24th, 2019 at 2:10 PM ^
Imagine feeling the need to carry water for a giant corporate entity like Disney over a lighthearted joke. Seriously demented.
August 24th, 2019 at 2:58 PM ^
I’m guessing you’re the guy when people post about Disney recommendations, you point them to your wife who sells Disney trip packages?
August 24th, 2019 at 3:35 PM ^
“Long lines are really experienced by those that don’t research the best times to go or aren’t saavy enough to use one of the apps.”
I gotta disagree. If you have kids, then the times you go WILL be busy unless your kids don’t attend school. The app is good for planning 3 fast passes ahead of time but unless you have planned months ahead, you probably won’t get the newer attractions, and for some families it’s just impossible to know for sure what the schedule will be. I suppose the app can help with real time wait times but everybody likes to flock to the low wait times, so that can work against you.
Overall I don’t mind Disney parks though. Crowds don’t bother me, I like the heat, and the kid seems to like it. Just know ahead of time that you will be standing in line for long periods of time.
August 24th, 2019 at 4:25 PM ^
Just leaving Disney now, headed back to DTW. There is no greater place on earth. I’m an annual pass holder, and fly down 3-4 times a year.

Hawai'i begs to differ
August 24th, 2019 at 5:20 PM ^
Just visited DisneySea in Tokyo. A fantastic place. We took fast passes in almost all rides so there was very little standing in line. And fantastic drinks and food at the Roosevelt bar kept us well fed an relaxed.
We would visit there again in a heartbeat. Can't say the same about Tokyo...
