Princess Bride.
Funny, it's been playing on a loop for my kids in my truck for the last couple of days.
Every Disney movie in the last 8 or so years.
I actually laughed out loud on this one, I have a three-year-old so I'm right there with you
hopefully not "Frozen" though
At least a hundred times
How’s the kid like “Avengers: Infinity War”? I can’t even get my wife to watch it.
Rocky
Jurassic Park
Creed
I Love You, Man
Miracle on 34th Street (Every Christmas)
I forgot , probably add Rocky I through V, lol
I can probably say Rocky I - IV. Definitely not Rocky V haha
My bad, Ivan Drago was in IV, that's the last one worth watching.
I expected the propaganda machine to produce a different clip from this movie for you. Something like...
Drop number V and I'm with ya
100% concur. Rocky 1 - 4 existed. Rocky 5 did not (at least not in my mind).
Rocky Balboa was actually the real Rocky V. Some people do mistake a failed Tommy Morrison TV Pilot for Rocky V, however.
There is one line (technically two) in Rocky V which makes the rest of it tolerable. After Rocky wins, ya know the way Rocky always does, GW Duke says something across the crowd about Rocky outclassing the bum(Gunn). Rocky walks over and Duke says...
Duke: Touch me and I'll sue. C'mon punk, touch me and I'll sue.
Balboa somehow defies physics and lifts Duke 5 feet into the air and onto the hood of a car with a punch to the midsection and a broken down old man who already lost everything says...
Balboa: Sue me for what?
It certainly wasn't enough to save the movie, but it was a moment that the movie needed.
kNoCk ThAt bUm OuT hE ToOk mY rOoM
I would have to add Elf and Christmas Vacation to the Christmas movies.
Jaws over 500 times easily.
Too many to count that I've seen over 10.
Hard not to watch it when it's on. Quint is the best!
That USS Indianapolis speech!
Good you mentioned it. I thought there’s no way I watched ANY movie ten times. But Jaws is so much a July 4 tradition for me I that it just doesn’t seem like a movie. It’s such an integral part of the holiday itself.
"You're gonna need a bigger boat."
One summer in 1993 I watched the move Tremors at least 40 times. I really don't know why.
I've probably seen the original Star Wars trilogy a combined 30 times in my life now.
Gladiator
All the Harry Potter Movies, all the Star Wars movies minus that shit show called “The Last Jedi”, and all the Lord of the Rings.
Home Alone and Home Alone 2
Every weekend is a Harry Potter weekend at my house :...
You liked the Phantom Menace?
Fantastic Mr Fox
Big Lebowski
It’s a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
Fantastic Mr. Fox is, well, fantastic.
Concur with Fantastic Mr. Fox. One of my all-time favorites.
It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World! Yes! Now I'm gonna have to watch it tonight.
The cast was fantastic: Johnathan Winters, Mickey Rooney, Sid Caesar, Phil Silvers, Spencer Tracy, Edie Adams, Milton Berle, Ethel Merman, (the great and died way too early) Dick Shawn, Terry-Thomas, Buddy Hackett, Jim Backus, William Demarest, Andy Devine, Selma Diamond, Don Knotts, Carl Reiner, Peter Falk. And then all the cameo sight gags with Jimmy Durante, Jack Benny, Jerry Lewis, the Three Stooges, Buster Keaton.
Like just about everyone from the 50's and 60's.
I've only seen it a couple times, but yes, fantastic comedy and cast, a bit ahead of its' time as comedies go.
Independence Day
Top Gun
The Rock
The Matrix
True Lies
True Lies. Excellent film. It has the perfect mix of action, humor, and drama.
Tombstone
Dumb and Dumber
Tommy Boy
Caddyshack
Fletch
EDIT: How did I forget 'Gladiator'
Death smiles on us all. All a man can do is smile back.
Loved fletch
My college roommate and I watched Tombstone so many times one year we got to the point where we would watch it with the sound off and quote all of the lines ourselves.
Wizard of Oz
I'm shocked it took this long for someone to suggest Wizard. I must be somewhere in the 40's for this one.
I've never seen it.
I'm sorry, Ken. When did you lose your eyesight?
It was an annual event back in the day.
Raiders of the Lost Ark
The Pianist
Forrest Gump
The Shawshank Redemption
Zodiac
Diehard
Terminator 2
Predator
Lord of the Rings (extended version - to be watched over Thanksgiving weekend)
I like Zodiac myself and love the music in it.
Agreed! It’s funny because I love it for everything but the scarier parts, which are fine, but I love seeing San Francisco in the 1960s and 70s and the general vibe of it. Most of the scarier parts are over within the first 30 minutes. After that, it is a surprisingly relaxing movie with a few exciting moments popped in. I love the second half when all the cops are secretly, sometimes reluctantly, supporting Graysmith. I always end up watching it once a year.
Its an incredible mystery and I wonder if the 2 other cyphers will ever be solved (or if they even have solutions).
Amazing how well Terminator 2 still holds up after 25+ years.
All of the major Disney/Pixar films, Harry Potter, Forrest Gump, Shawshank, Green Street Hooligans and probably 50 others.
