Love the David Long pick

Awesome! Like I needed another reason to root for the Patriots!
Just because guys from Michigan play for the Patriots doesn't mean you have an excuse to bandwagon.
The only reason I root for the PATS is because of BRADY... the only reason the PATS have won Championships is because of BRADY....
Seems like we have more in common than you think!
You got me. That's exactly WHY I bandwagon.

Well the state of Michigan hasn't had a professional football team since Barry Sanders retired. We need someone to root for.

Another great night for some phenomenal representatives of the Maize and Blue

They were fortunate to NOT get picked by the lie-downs!!!
You almost couldn't pencil it in any better with our guys going to the Steelers, Packers, Pats and Rams. Those are four solid franchises right now. I had hoped none of them would end up on the Lions.

Fricking Pats do it again. Just the type of Blue-collar guy the Pats love.

Perfect pick for the Pats!

PERFECT! Another way for me to annoy all the Bills fans here in WNY

Congrats to Chase, one of my all time favorite Wolverines.
Hopefully in the next couple years we can start to see some skill guys get drafted on the first and second day of the draft. Preferably 2 more seasons from the stud WRs

Congratulations Chase.
Go get a ring!!!!!

Great get for the Pats. I hope Tom Brady still has one more Super Bowl in him.

That means he’ll become a Lion after a few years!

Really happy for this kid. Really happy for these Wolverines this draft, it's been great! HAIL

Interesting pick by the Patriots later that round to draft another RB...
Very interesting after drafting the similar Michel in the first round last year. Guess they really missed him when he was hurt and wanted two guys in that role. Very unlike the Pats though to carry highly drafted RBs/skill position players in general.

The combination of player/team/round make this arguably the best value in the entire draft. Absolute home run. All year I thought he'd be a 3rd rounder and his best fit would be the Pats (definitely was not the only one with that thought) and I couldn't be more excited that all of that happened.
AFC general managers goofed by letting him slide to the Pats

Wow - this is a dream pick for us Pats fans. Brady will mentor him to stardom !
How nice!
Tom and Chase can save gas $ now when they car pool together back to A2 for M events.......
Nice!! Chase gets to win a Super Bowl.
I am so pumped to know that I get to watch Chase play on the regular! I think this guy can make the cuts. Good luck Chase
I called this earlier in the week. Eisen said it best "Gronk replacement for the parade!" Comparing him to Ninkovich, but I see the next Tedy Bruschi. Wear 54 Chase!
This is just fantastic!
Would love to be there for that, “Hi Chase. I’m Tom”, moment. Can’t imagine what it would be like. Go Pats & Go Blue!
Chase will probably reply “Nice to meet you Tom. Ever been to Michigan?”
Pretty sure they already met when Tom was an honorary captain in 2016.
You must be a riot at parties.....
Man. If the Pats pick up Gentry with one of their three pics in the 4th today I'm probably going to have to be a Pats fan moving forward.
Gentry is not going in the 4th round. He will be lucky to be drafted.
New England has FOUR 7th round picks and I think one is going to be Gentry. Rumor is Brady thinks Zach can become the next Gronk - just needs a couple years of development under his wing.

Hope you are right, he could be good but those stats from the combine will scare people off, especially when combined with the drops in games. Unfortunately, Brady is not in the war room for the Patriots and has no say over who they draft.
I have mixed feeling on this pick. On one hand, I am happy to see Chase join the Patriots and have a good shot at a ring. On the other hand, I am not sure the Patriots are a great franchise for a third round pick to go to and someday have a shot at a big contract. It feels like a tryout for another team 3-4 years.
From Chase’s standpoint, the Pats will maximize his usefulness and put him in a position to earn a nice contract as well as anyone would. If not with them, then with someone else who witnesses the value he brings to a defense.
I hope so. Offhand I can’t think of too many players that have done that with the Patriots though. Tough thing to do in the NFL though, most players never see the second contract.
Didn't work out too bad for Trey Flowers. Got big $$, unfortunately it's from Lions.
So happy for Chase. My favorite player in this draft. He never quit on his team or his team mates. Congrats Chase!

Picking Chase is an example of why the Patriots win. They pick the kind of players who understand the meaning of TEAM.
