It’s about to be ? for these boys in blue.
Speed in space is something I believe we all want to hear.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:14 PM ^
There's plenty of receivers at Michigan capable of it. Will we see it?
January 13th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
Sounds like it, but only time will tell.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:26 PM ^
We,’re counting on you Shea
January 13th, 2019 at 6:28 PM ^
I’m not Shea, but I would think he would do his best to not let the faithful blog members down.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:37 PM ^
If that’s what you think, then that’s definitely true
January 13th, 2019 at 6:41 PM ^
That's exactly what Shea would say...!
January 13th, 2019 at 8:00 PM ^
Well you guaranteed a National Championship last season so no one really believes anything you predict, Yoder.
Go back to chat sports.
January 13th, 2019 at 8:06 PM ^
You and Yodeler can both go fuck yourselves, you puzzlewit.
January 13th, 2019 at 8:12 PM ^
Is our offense about to go from "body blows" to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu!?
January 14th, 2019 at 7:59 AM ^
I think we are all praying for this.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:03 PM ^
That’s a lot of booms. I like it. Go Blue!!!
January 13th, 2019 at 7:21 PM ^
He already gets Posbang Fridays. . .
January 13th, 2019 at 9:39 PM ^
I interpreted those as stars, 5 of them. Twice. Obviously he’s bringing a couple of 5-star recruits with him.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:03 PM ^

January 13th, 2019 at 6:04 PM ^
Are you sure his 3-year-old didn't get past the lock screen?

Batman!!!
Going old school...
January 13th, 2019 at 6:41 PM ^
I approve of this message.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:13 PM ^
Just make use of your playmakers and don’t resort to winning games with nothing but fullback bodyblows.
You've got some real stallions in your WR corps. Don’t keep them locked up in the stable.
January 13th, 2019 at 7:02 PM ^
Thing is, if you look around at the elite teams they still do the body blows. But that's after getting the defense tired as hell chasing all the playmakers all over the field. A lot of teams dink and dunk you for 5 yards here, 7 yards there with quick outs and slants. Then they hit you over the top. You get up by a bunch and it demoralizes a defense. Then the body blows begin.
January 13th, 2019 at 7:26 PM ^
Body blows are great when you're playing a clearly lesser team.
Know what else makes great body blows? Touchdowns.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:13 PM ^
It's happening...giggity
January 13th, 2019 at 6:15 PM ^
but but but I thought time of possession was the most important thing
January 13th, 2019 at 6:26 PM ^
I'm hoping Harbaugh saw the NC game where Bama had an unbelievable amount of TOP over Clemson, but Clemson had already taken them to the woodshed.

You guys know so much more about football than HB. You must be coaching some great college team... right?
January 13th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
He must like this recruiting class, Giles Jackson in particular.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:24 PM ^
And Sainristil, and GJIII, and CJ, and Charbonnet is pretty damn fast too
January 13th, 2019 at 6:16 PM ^
This could be an overreaction but this could be the hire that makes Jim a legend. Gattis opens this offense up and Donny figures out how to incorporate some zone when needed....oh boy.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:26 PM ^
This is the ideal scenario. But with Gattis’ lack of play calling experience, it may take some time and it may never work out as well as we would hope.
That said, his hire confirms a philosophical shift from manball to more spread concepts
January 13th, 2019 at 6:48 PM ^
It's a fairly ideal situation for Gattis to develop in because he'll have experienced play callers around him to gameplan with and talk to in-game. Even if the committee approach (which isn't as weird or slow as people make it out to be) dies, a game is still a constant dialogue between coaches and analysts.
Gattis comes from places with strong running/PA games as well so think he'll mesh well with Jim, Warinner, etc.
January 13th, 2019 at 8:38 PM ^
What's more important. his experience in play design or his lack of experience in play calling? I think the former is what this team needs the most. I'm also very happy to see Jim following through with his change of emphasis in skill position recruiting.
January 14th, 2019 at 10:30 AM ^
Why must we always put a but with our players and.coaches? So he don't have play calling experience, so what, he will learn on the job. Lincoln Riley didn't have HC experience but look how thats turning out. He about 7 games to get comfortable in calling the offense to get ready for the big ones late I. The season.
January 13th, 2019 at 6:51 PM ^
They played quite a bit of zone this year.
January 13th, 2019 at 7:14 PM ^
I am hoping that Gattis does for Michigan's offense what Brown did for Michigan's defense when Brown first arrived. Create an identity for the offense. Nobody can argue that Don Brown was a home run hire for the defense with the exception of two games (PSU 2017 and OSU 2018). I think if Brown redeems himself next year vs OSU he will have a big payday at Michigan or a new HC somewhere.
One other little nugget. Bringing in a new OC helps to eliminate some of the competitive tactical advantage OSU gained by hiring two of Michigan's defensive coaches. Simply stated, much of the "knowledge" they took with them regarding Michigan's offense is now obsolete. Brilliant move by Harbaugh.
January 13th, 2019 at 8:30 PM ^
2 games? Ummm no. Add in FSU in the Orange Bowl, Indiana this year, OSU in the 2nd half of 2016, and Florida this year. This is becoming commonplace against good (ish?) teams. The offense needs tweaking for sure, but imo Don Browns stubbornness may be our main issue.
To come out like that vs UF after getting embarrassed by OSU, with the SAME GAMEPLAN is very troubling to me. I wonder if this is part of the reason his two main assistants left. It had to be maddening to be a position coach under rhe auspices of this caveman approach.
January 13th, 2019 at 9:39 PM ^
Washington was not one of Brown's two main assistants. That's crazy talk. Mattison left for a big promotion and probably double his salary. You might have a point, but that's not the way to make it.
January 14th, 2019 at 6:54 AM ^
your'e right and I never thought about that either, The hiring of Gattis negates the loses of Mattison and Washington knowing our game plan from the inside in my opinion. I said on a Facebook group page I belong to that Ohio State just took two guys to get an even better edge on Michigan with knowing their scheme from the inside and most of the comments everyone was like what scheme or we don't have a scheme or even laughed at me.

His tweets are not for us. They are for 15-18 yr old recruits and Michigan's players. I like his tweeting, only because he is younger and more relatable to the very people he is trying to reach.
