OT as hell. When was the last time UM was ranked this high going into bowl season? 2006? Just saying...ascending program.
December 1st, 2018 at 7:50 PM ^
Michigan was ranked #6 going in to the Orange Bowl 2 years ago.
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:15 AM ^
2 premier bowl games in 4 years after taking over a program that didn't even make a bowl in Hoke's last year? What a bum Harbaugh is. Clearly this is the ceiling.
December 1st, 2018 at 7:21 PM ^
Judge Alex agrees.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
Just so everyone knows, this is former Michigan offensive lineman James Hudson who left the team mid-year.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:54 PM ^
Not sure why this got negged. I really didn't know who he meant.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:57 PM ^
I knew who he meant, but I have no idea why it was negged, either. Sometimes, people just neg because they're assholes? Probably...

Thank you for the explanation. It doesn't take much energy to add a few keystrokes and explain WTF the post is about, even if you do think it should be common knowledge.

His HS classmate is a 1,000 yard rusher there. Good luck to him.
December 1st, 2018 at 6:25 PM ^
Still curious why he transferred when he probably had the inside track to the RT job over Steuber.
December 1st, 2018 at 6:43 PM ^
I think he and his family were pissed off when Stueber went in when JBB went down vs MSU. Apparently Hudson had missed some practice time that week but was healthy for the game.
Couple that with probably thinking he deserved to start over JBB and voila...
December 1st, 2018 at 8:15 PM ^
Correct. That had a lot to do with it.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:43 PM ^
Was there ever concern w with our staff with what happened w him in high school? Pretty sure he played hoops as a senior and skipped a game, ended up quitting soon after
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:18 AM ^
He quit basketball his senior year? Or football?
December 2nd, 2018 at 1:19 PM ^
Basketball, a few games into the season if I recall. Missed a game due to an “illness”. That same night went to watch a different game.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:30 PM ^
Considering that evidence alone, glad he transferred.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:21 PM ^
He apparently didn't like campus life and didn't feel he fit in. He wanted to leave last year but his mom made him stick it out. He was very unhappy overall. Good kid and hope he is happy at Cincinnati.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:51 PM ^
Agreed. Hope he's happier elsewhere.
December 1st, 2018 at 8:26 PM ^
I think that's what some are assuming, but no one has commented on it to my knowledge. His decision to announce his transfer after the MSU game could have just been a coincidence. The reality is if in fact that is the reason he's better off leaving, but I'm not sure it's fair to assume that.
December 1st, 2018 at 6:26 PM ^
An incredibly stupid decision that likely sabotaged his football career.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:38 PM ^
His odds of playing time are better at Cincy than they were here. That’s a pretty big deal.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:48 PM ^
Hope earlier playing time works out for Hudson, but Cincinnati cannot offer the same resources to progress an individuals football career as Michigan.

Makes zero sense. Severe downgrade in academics, coaching, city and school
December 1st, 2018 at 7:04 PM ^
Cincinnati is way down my personal "best places to live" list, but it's nearly three times the size of Ann Arbor and not really in the same weight class.
If you mean "college town atmosphere," yes, he's getting a significant downgrade.
December 1st, 2018 at 7:16 PM ^
Used to be about 5X as big.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:44 PM ^
As someone who lived in AA and Cinci, calling Cinci a bad city is ridiculous. It's a great city to live in. Maybe not a patch on AA as a college town...b because it's not. It's a very metropolitan city which is awesome as a single adult or married with kids. But it is not a college town. It's 2+ million people. Ann Arbor is like 200k, unless you want to count the entire county.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:10 PM ^
It's in Ohio (aka worst state ever). Hudson chose to leave Ohio for a short time, but has now decided to return. Poor move for any human.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:20 PM ^
Have you spent time around Cincy campus? It's terrible.
December 1st, 2018 at 10:48 PM ^
I believe you and thankfully, no.
December 1st, 2018 at 11:36 PM ^
Get off your fucking high horse pal, there's nothing wrong with Cincinnati's campus nor the fact that James Hudson transferred there
December 2nd, 2018 at 12:21 AM ^
It gets ridiculous here sometimes. Yes, Ann Arbor is nice and Michigan is a great school. You can also have a nice life virtually anywhere else, at least in this country. Very few football players are basing their decision largely on academics anyway, but you can actually get a good education elsewhere.
December 2nd, 2018 at 7:27 AM ^
It's when you step off of campus where you'll run into trouble.
December 2nd, 2018 at 9:33 AM ^
What about Alabama Fish Bar?
December 2nd, 2018 at 11:39 AM ^
The Cincy campus is not bad at all, when is the last time you were there? OTR is coming back in a big way, and the campus itself is well kept and modern.
December 2nd, 2018 at 2:47 PM ^
Agreed. We visited Cincinnati during the recruiting process for my son (baseball). Let’s just say that I wasn’t at all impressed and my son never had any interest. Now the visit we took to Marshall blew us away but the coach who recruited him left for penn state and there just was no way in hell that was gonna happen.
December 1st, 2018 at 9:24 PM ^
That doesn't matter because playing time is the most important part of his criteria and Cincinnati gives him that
December 1st, 2018 at 6:33 PM ^
Probably a hell of a lot easier path for him....to not sure where. But wherever it is, he’ll face less competition, less demanding coaches and less demanding school work on his way there.
