McSorley hurts knee, currently out of game against Iowa
Great bye week game!
McSorley went down in the 2nd quarter and is out of the game. Looks to be a knee sprain. May impact our game next week.
Iowa controls its destiny with a win. They look like a great matchup for UM in the B1G championship... Solid defense with a non-mobile QB that we should be able to shut down.
14-14 deep into the 2nd quarter.
Of course, none of this matters until we beat Ohio State!

Currently at 35 upvotes and still underrated

I'd upvote you but can't...

Unsure of the MGoPoints needed to up/down vote. Last I heard, you could start a thread with 100 MGoPoints? Rational, I suppose.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:34 PM ^
It used to be 100. Now, it seems to be 500.

Well how many do I have and how many do I need? This is anti-lurker, lurkerphobic, lurkism.

Shadow points for logging in? I also would like to be able to upvote the good stuff.

That’s what happens when you run your QB too much. Nice job Franklin, you’re next on the Revenge Tour and will be 1-3 against Harbaugh

He was hurt on a sack.

Is it possible to have a sack without a ball???

Sounds like a question for Lance Armstrong....

Reminds me of the RR days and the argument that running QBs are injured at the same rate as non running QBs.
I don’t know the answer, but I think a lot of the injuries are caused by smaller repeated hits/ tackles. Then again, it’s not uncommon to have a tear on a non contact play (eg Black).
October 27th, 2018 at 6:06 PM ^
Someone conducted a study and determined that this theory was indeed false. It's likely that running QBs tend to be more prepared for the hits they take, or they aren't usually hit directly.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:33 PM ^
Weird, someone else did a study somewhere that proved you were wrong...

EDIT: McSorley back in but not very mobile.
October 27th, 2018 at 8:54 PM ^
Except for the 50 yard TD run he had when he came back?
October 27th, 2018 at 5:04 PM ^
McSorley back in.

I'd much prefer to beat PSU with McSorley playing.
October 27th, 2018 at 5:30 PM ^
Me too.
October 27th, 2018 at 5:41 PM ^
I just want to beat them. If him being out helps foster it I’m all for it.

Honestly this attitude is one i have but it's not because i need the justification. It's more because i still doubt this team. Not because they deserve the doubt but because I'm a pessimist and so if they beat Penn State with MCsorley, I'll have justifiably more confidence than i did before. Which let's be honest, a day after the win i won't believe they're capable of doing well anyway.
October 27th, 2018 at 9:34 PM ^
Nah. You'd still find reasons to doubt.

I would prefer that McSorley play as well. Michigan knows him and can prepare for his style of game. Bring a new guy in and you bring a little uncertainty.

The sore knee was set up by Michigan - Engler

All 3 of his throws looked very weak on that 3 and out when he returned. Keep your eyes on him moving forward.
On the other hand, Stephens is massive. I know Trace is very short but I was cracking up watching them stand next to each other.
October 27th, 2018 at 5:15 PM ^
I want them at their best, not that it will matter.
October 27th, 2018 at 5:15 PM ^
No matter who wins PSU will be a little beat up next week. This is a hard hitting game. McSorley or no McSorley I just want to beat PSU down next week. I am originally from the area and thank god every day I got out!
I also would love the Iowa matchup if it all plays out. We have beaten NWU and WIS, Iowa would end up with the highest ranking.
October 27th, 2018 at 8:23 PM ^
And I ask this out of love and concern; did anyone touch you while going were there?
October 27th, 2018 at 5:16 PM ^
Tommy Stevens back in
October 27th, 2018 at 5:34 PM ^
Looks better than a non 100% McSorley.
October 27th, 2018 at 5:16 PM ^
Franklin just wasted a timeout.
October 27th, 2018 at 5:33 PM ^
Did he run inside zone into a stacked box after calling another TO and checking with the sideline twice?

Dummy Franklin icing his own kicker.
