Score Prediction for Saturday

Submitted by MichiganFan1984 on

What is your score prediction for Saturday? With Black out maybe it changes things for you. With a chance of thunderstorms maybe that changes things as well. At this point I think we all know the basics of what we have to factor in when making our prediction for Saturday. I say we play steallar defense most of the way and hold them to 13.  They have a good kicker and they will get a TD somehow with the help of their crowd. We come out in the 2nd half on fire on offense after struggling early and the final score is Michigan 34-13. Am I crazy for this prediction?

don't you have some band members or wrestlers to molest?  maybe smack a few women around?  lie, pay some players, lie some more, fake an apology, delete some incriminating text messages?

yeah, that's more your sytle.

They will have a few big plays, but it's hard to see them moving the football consistently.

I think we will have a hard time running the ball and Shea's mobility and accuracy will be our saving grace.

UM - 24

ND - 17

ND 21-17 UM

Road game against a tough team at night. Wimbush gets loose a few too many times. Hope I'm wrong.

I will say Harbaugh's presser today gave me a little more confidence. He makes Shea sound like the real deal.

31-10 good guys. Wimbush is pressured all night and can't get in rhythm. The O is balanced with 275 yards passing 220 yards rushing.

With the chance of rain, I think the winner will be whoever is leading at halftime. And in that case... ND 14 - 7 Michigan. Predicting that the Michigan offense comes out guns a' blaizin' and score a quick touchdown to start the game, but sputters against the ND defense the rest of the way. Think the ND offense is good for at least one touchdown, and then finds some way to score a BS one because of the home crowd.

Michigan 24

Notre Dame 20

I think Notre Dame’s defense/special teams either scores for them or puts them in the red zone and Wimbush runs it in and accounts for 7-10 of their points. Would love to see a late Michigan drive score a TD to win it. Let’s Go Blue!

Michigan 19

Notre Dame 13

If this game was later in the season I'd have Michigan scoring more. But with Shea Patterson being new, they will probably not expect him to be a big force in the game, and will look to Higdon and Evans, and Ed Warinner, to be what carries the offense, taking pressure off the new QB. More running means a slower moving, lower scoring game. And I think Notre Dame's offense will have trouble with Michigan's defense. So it will be low scoring for them.

Michigan wins big, 38-7.  When a Domer came up to me in a restaurant on Sunday (saw the case on my iPhone) and told me he had bad news for me, I told him we would win by 21+.  I feel tremendous confidence in these guys, both offensively and defensively.

55-14

Shea Patterson shows the Big Ten what a true dual threat QB looks like, beats his season rushing total from last year in a single game with 29 yards on the ground.

No tricky weather or other adversity to overcome that could unfairly affect the game and favor ND

I think it will be a close game. Our OL will have their problems against a big and talented ND DL. Our D will be giving ND fits as well.  ND will probably get some lucky last minute TD and win.

ND 21 - UM 20.

Blue        27

Domers  13

I will be going to the game with three big time Notre Dame fans.  It should be fun.

I live in Southern California.  Does anybody have any recommendations on things to do.  We will be in Chicago Thursday night and Friday and drive to South Bend Saturday morning.

30-7

Based on:

1) Harbaugh does well when there is plenty of time for devising new game plans for a specific opponent.

2) Our defense is coming back to show it’s #1

3) ND is over rated

4) I’m ignoring a history of close games no matter what the situation is.

My gut all off season was saying Michigan dominates. Our offense will be much better and our defense will be lights out. BUT, what is actually concerning me this week are the reports out of camp that Nordin's confidence is in the gutter and our punter is injured. If the weather is an issue and prevents both teams from moving the ball in the air, then we might lose a heartbreaker by leaving points on the field and gifting them favorable field position all night because of poor special teams play. (Yes, we have many question marks on offense until proven otherwise, but I think special teams play will be the key between a great season and a just an OK, but much improved one)

With that said though, I am going the optimistic fan route and say we win rather easily.  Defense will prove that the hype is real and the offense finally clicks with the OL showing marked improvement. We will hit them in the mouth early..not just on defense, but offense as well. I think Harbaugh's game plan is going to get Shea going early, which will open up the run game (big time). With Warriner's coaching, the OL will play better (but also show they still need work). Harbaugh will scheme to get Shea out of the pocket or the ball out of his hands quickly, so there's less pressure on the tackles. If Shea can keep ND's LB's honest and not crowd the box, Higdon and Evans will run wild. Also, I think we might see some trick plays early to surprise ND (hello Ronnie Bell and/or Ambry Thomas????) Harbaugh is going for the jugular in this game. He and the team want (and need) this win BADLY to get the taste out of their mouths from the last couple of seasons. Yes, its only the first game and a loss isn't the end of the world, but this team is striving for great things. We have too much talent not to be a much better team. I think they go out and take the first step in shutting up the doubters (god, i hope so).

31-10 Michigan and our first ever night victory at ND.

* if the weather is "MSU" bad and/or the game is repeatedly stopped due to lightening, then all bets are off and anything is possible.

I know we never beat anyone ranked on the road, but ND just looks like Florida last year. They don’t seem like the #12 team in the country with Wimbush at QB. I think ND is like us last year and will be an 8-9 win team. I think the defense squeaks out a win 19-14

31 - 10  we get the dub ya

We somehow get the running game going and just play old school Michigan football... DPJ catches a couple play action deep passes and we utilize our Tight Ends... Defense is stellar but somehow they break open a big run against us...
