Score Prediction for Saturday

Submitted by MichiganFan1984 on

What is your score prediction for Saturday? With Black out maybe it changes things for you. With a chance of thunderstorms maybe that changes things as well. At this point I think we all know the basics of what we have to factor in when making our prediction for Saturday. I say we play steallar defense most of the way and hold them to 13.  They have a good kicker and they will get a TD somehow with the help of their crowd. We come out in the 2nd half on fire on offense after struggling early and the final score is Michigan 34-13. Am I crazy for this prediction?

ND wins 17-13. Michigan has the ball with a chance to score the winning TD and finds a way to lose as usual.

I can't remember the last road win against a ranked team that we have had, so unfortunately I'll have to go with ND (24-17) until I see progress from the oline or see how we plan to utilize Shea Patterson. I have heard some concerning things about our kicker situation as well that make me weary.

Also, vegas line has moved a fair amount in the last week (given the profile of the game) from michigan being favored by 1.5 to being 1 point underdogs.

Couple things. All those previous road losses have no bearing on this game. Also, the reason the line has moved, if I had to guess, is not only because of Black being injured, but also because a lot of people seem to think that Gary won't play. Which of course is ridiculous at this point in time (barring future events, should they occur).

24-10 Michigan Wins. ND will not be able to move the ball on our Defense. They will make some lucky play to get in the end zone...but not offensively. Will be close until halftime but I believe Michigan will make better in game and halftime adjustments.

Hail to the Victors!!

28-17 Michigan with some first half success throwing the ball and the 2nd half running the ball effectively with Higdon and Evans.

Also Perry looks like a new man and AT gets some play on O.

42-14 Michigan, utter blow out. Shea tosses the pig skin for 350 yards and 4 TDs. K-Hig starts off a strong season but gashing the fighting redheaded midgets for 175 and 2 scores.

21-13 ND. I have to see us win on the road before I predict a victory. I just think ND playin home at night to start the season will be too much for us to handle. Offense needs a few games together to really get goin.

34-20 Michigan.

Defense gives up 1 early and 1 garbage time TD. Game looks competitive but by half time we never really feel like Michigan is in too much danger of losing. Offense scores kinda early, gels by 2nd quarter, scores early in second half, then slows down by the end of the game.

Well that's the thing about early games against good opponents. New personnel, new schemes, new adjustments you don't see coming. I seem the D getting a stop or two then ND making some adjustments and getting a TD before our D adjusts the ND's adjustments.

I don’t know. I hate making predictions in games like this.

Do I think we have the better team? Yes. But it’s also the first game of the season on the road at night against a very good defense in what could be rain and thunderstorm conditions. Have to hope Harbaugh learned his lesson from last year in that when the monsoon comes, play it safe and let the other QB make the mistakes.

I see a lot of blowout predictions. This game is going to be close. I take our defense over their offense in spades, but their defense is going to give our offense some problems. It’s either going to come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes (or who avoids the game-changing mistake), or I’m thinking someone could be called upon to kick a game-winning FG in the closing seconds.
