Score Prediction for Saturday
What is your score prediction for Saturday? With Black out maybe it changes things for you. With a chance of thunderstorms maybe that changes things as well. At this point I think we all know the basics of what we have to factor in when making our prediction for Saturday. I say we play steallar defense most of the way and hold them to 13. They have a good kicker and they will get a TD somehow with the help of their crowd. We come out in the 2nd half on fire on offense after struggling early and the final score is Michigan 34-13. Am I crazy for this prediction?

We actually haven’t beaten a ranked team on the road since 2006.
August 27th, 2018 at 10:29 PM ^
I'll take that bet. I hear you have a pretty nice house.
August 27th, 2018 at 11:16 PM ^
Which one?
August 27th, 2018 at 7:48 PM ^
I have feeling our defense scores a touchdown to put this one out of reach Michigan 27-10
August 27th, 2018 at 7:49 PM ^
16-13 Blue
August 27th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
I'm not a believer in ND. We have the better offense, defense, and coaching. 24-7 Michigan
August 27th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
14-10, UM.
Still a 50% chance or rain.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:48 PM ^
been following the weather. maybe rain hurts them more than us ?
August 27th, 2018 at 7:51 PM ^
24-23 UM
August 27th, 2018 at 7:52 PM ^
Michigan wins 31-9. Unless its raining. Then 24-6.
August 27th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
24-6 Michigan!!
August 27th, 2018 at 7:53 PM ^
ND wins 17-13. Michigan has the ball with a chance to score the winning TD and finds a way to lose as usual.
August 27th, 2018 at 7:54 PM ^
I can't remember the last road win against a ranked team that we have had, so unfortunately I'll have to go with ND (24-17) until I see progress from the oline or see how we plan to utilize Shea Patterson. I have heard some concerning things about our kicker situation as well that make me weary.
Also, vegas line has moved a fair amount in the last week (given the profile of the game) from michigan being favored by 1.5 to being 1 point underdogs.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:13 PM ^
Couple things. All those previous road losses have no bearing on this game. Also, the reason the line has moved, if I had to guess, is not only because of Black being injured, but also because a lot of people seem to think that Gary won't play. Which of course is ridiculous at this point in time (barring future events, should they occur).

Right score, wrong winner. M over ND 24-17
August 28th, 2018 at 12:19 PM ^
Ummmm..... last season's opener was against a ranked team, on the road. Shouldn't be forgotten so easily.

Came here to see what I predicted, looks like you are the winner. I hate you.
August 27th, 2018 at 7:56 PM ^
Uofm 31-6.

Drinks two gallons of whole milk, eats three boogers. Dooder stain to khakis as Notre Dame narrowly misses a FG to win.
14-13, Michigan.
August 27th, 2018 at 7:57 PM ^
To Hell with Notre Dame predictions!
August 27th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
24-10 Michigan Wins. ND will not be able to move the ball on our Defense. They will make some lucky play to get in the end zone...but not offensively. Will be close until halftime but I believe Michigan will make better in game and halftime adjustments.
Hail to the Victors!!
August 27th, 2018 at 8:34 PM ^
This was my prediction as well. I don't see how ND scores on our defense, but they're bound to get something. And I think 24 points is a reasonable prediction for the offense, if even half of the improvement is true.
August 27th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
27-13 good guys
Hail!
August 27th, 2018 at 7:59 PM ^
24-6 good guys
August 27th, 2018 at 8:03 PM ^
28-17 Michigan with some first half success throwing the ball and the 2nd half running the ball effectively with Higdon and Evans.
Also Perry looks like a new man and AT gets some play on O.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:03 PM ^
Michigan 23 Notre Dame 19

It would be SUCH a happy Saturday night if this happened! :)
August 27th, 2018 at 8:05 PM ^
Good weather.....I think Michigan wins 35-10.
Bad weather.....I think Michigan wins 28-14.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:05 PM ^
27-13. Good guys. Defense scores a touchdown and creates 3 total turnovers the others resulting in two field goals
August 27th, 2018 at 8:07 PM ^
Heart: 27-16 Michigan
Head: 21-17 Notre Dame
i never have any faith when we play ND. These games are usually fluky
August 27th, 2018 at 8:07 PM ^
23-16 good guys
August 27th, 2018 at 8:12 PM ^
38-3 Michigan
August 27th, 2018 at 8:12 PM ^
30-10, 4 touchdowns and a safety as Gary and Winovich sandwich Wimbush in his own end zone to shut the crowd up for good.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:42 PM ^
Why does this have a downvote???
August 27th, 2018 at 8:14 PM ^
33-17 good guys
August 27th, 2018 at 8:14 PM ^
42-14 Michigan, utter blow out. Shea tosses the pig skin for 350 yards and 4 TDs. K-Hig starts off a strong season but gashing the fighting redheaded midgets for 175 and 2 scores.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:44 PM ^
You forgot Freckled Faced...
August 27th, 2018 at 8:56 PM ^
Son of a bitch I knew I was forgetting an insult.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:16 PM ^
21-13 ND. I have to see us win on the road before I predict a victory. I just think ND playin home at night to start the season will be too much for us to handle. Offense needs a few games together to really get goin.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
34-20 Michigan.
Defense gives up 1 early and 1 garbage time TD. Game looks competitive but by half time we never really feel like Michigan is in too much danger of losing. Offense scores kinda early, gels by 2nd quarter, scores early in second half, then slows down by the end of the game.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:46 PM ^
I think the defense clamps down early, with all that experience it has.
Sure would like to see Don Brown's pep talk before the game.
August 27th, 2018 at 9:16 PM ^
Well that's the thing about early games against good opponents. New personnel, new schemes, new adjustments you don't see coming. I seem the D getting a stop or two then ND making some adjustments and getting a TD before our D adjusts the ND's adjustments.
August 27th, 2018 at 8:18 PM ^
I don’t know. I hate making predictions in games like this.
Do I think we have the better team? Yes. But it’s also the first game of the season on the road at night against a very good defense in what could be rain and thunderstorm conditions. Have to hope Harbaugh learned his lesson from last year in that when the monsoon comes, play it safe and let the other QB make the mistakes.
I see a lot of blowout predictions. This game is going to be close. I take our defense over their offense in spades, but their defense is going to give our offense some problems. It’s either going to come down to who makes the least amount of mistakes (or who avoids the game-changing mistake), or I’m thinking someone could be called upon to kick a game-winning FG in the closing seconds.

23-13 M
Uncomfortable most of the way. Finally pull away very late.
