Chris Evans off-season transformation doesn't look real

Chris Evans just posted his transformation picture after an off-season under Ben Herbert and it literally looks unreal. Looks like Chris Evans head was photoshopped onto a body builder. But in the best way possible. Higdon and Evans may actually be thunder and thunder, not thunder and lightning like last season

The great James willems once said
”You’re not big enough until there’s a picture of you and someone’s reaction is ‘there’s no way that’s his head on that body’.

Never thought I would see a Funhaus reference on MGoBlog but here we are

I've been telling people that you don't really need to be into video games to appreciate their humor. They put out some really genuinely funny stuff.
August 20th, 2018 at 11:35 PM ^
I would like to look like the before pic.
August 20th, 2018 at 11:38 PM ^
15 pounds is great and all... but in the after pic he is flexing every muscle in his body.
This is how infomercials work. Lets hope he flexes like that after one of his 30 touchdowns this season.
August 20th, 2018 at 11:50 PM ^
Yeah flexing vs not flexing, they obviously messed with the light too as the after pick is brighter. I'm sure he's more jacked but these photos aren't a real 1:1 comparison

Don’t care. Builds confidence.
August 21st, 2018 at 12:55 AM ^
Even his head looks thicker.
Most of the visual difference is illusion.
Let's hope it translates on the field. B/c if these guys are convinced that they've got a physical edge, and then get out there and find it the same as before, the confidence effect could go the other way.

My favorites are the beauty ones where literally the only difference between the before and after is she’s smiling.
August 21st, 2018 at 7:27 AM ^
Yep, it's SO obvious...and sometimes he hair is greasy and stringy in the 'before' pic. LOL
August 21st, 2018 at 12:06 AM ^
Actually, in most cases the "before" pic is actually the person letting themselves go after they got in shape for the "after" pic.
August 21st, 2018 at 11:48 AM ^
His flat top even looks stronger in the after pic.
August 20th, 2018 at 11:48 PM ^
Am I the only one who notices in all of these that the first one is just them standing there, and the after picture shows them hunched over and flexing? You could stay exactly the same and that kind of picture is going to look markedly different.
August 20th, 2018 at 11:52 PM ^
I believe it's real. He is flexing but still. The other picture wouldn't look like that if he were flexing. Fifteen pounds added is alot and he had some baby fat so it's actually more than that in muscle mass/weight. I don't know how many of you paper pushers on here who never played a contact sport beyond seventh grade can fully comprehend what kind of transformation many of these guys just went through. You are burning a lot of that baby fat and let me tell you, some of these boys/young men had plenty. So your actual total weight gain isn't what it actually is in total muscle weight gain. If you can wrap your head around it, you'll realize just how much stronger these cats are going to be. They were competing with everyone last year. Should've only had 1 loss. This years team would mop the floor with that Penn State team. You wait and see come next Saturday. I need a new bottle of Crown.

Did you just imply the mgoboard is a bunch of nerds, but nerds who are bad a math?
August 21st, 2018 at 2:29 AM ^
Nerds who are bad at math are either Engineering students at staee or 'bama.

Hey, I played lacrosse at Michigan and I’m an aerospace engineer now so how about this: go fuck yourself.
August 21st, 2018 at 7:23 AM ^
I would say real sports, but considering i never played a competitive sport past high school, my passive aggressive snark will have to be contained to the first part of my comment. Im just teasing ya man, i wouldn't want to get blasted all day playing lax.

Condescend much?
August 21st, 2018 at 12:03 AM ^
They do all look great, but as in the typical fitness before and after shots they are not in the same pose. In the before they are all relaxed and in the after they are all flexed.
August 21st, 2018 at 12:09 AM ^
He looks bigger in his clips too. NFL big. Might pass back Higdon. 2 really good choices. Whocares who #3 is.
August 21st, 2018 at 1:31 AM ^
We have two #1 backs. Both are better than Mile Weber.
August 21st, 2018 at 12:19 AM ^
Remind me to flex for my next shirtless photo op.
August 21st, 2018 at 1:56 AM ^
I have seen your video on a horse without a shirt. You Don't need to flex in my opinion.

Is this true love or just a mancrush?
August 21st, 2018 at 12:35 AM ^
this but with even more power. ok. that works.
August 21st, 2018 at 8:44 AM ^
Well, this is the problem. You claim there is power on a clip where Evans does not get touched...not even a threat of being tackled. My complaint about him is that he goes down much too easily. He improved greatly over the course of last season in this regard-but this has been a critical difference between Higdon and Evans. Here is where backs like Turner are going to step up and pass Evans if he does not elevate his game-to include taking on (early) contact better. In-coming Gray has this same ability in the hole-to power through that early contact. This is a huge difference-maker.

Chris Evans is taller, heavier, and slower than Karan Higdon, but people still think of him as the scatback. It's funny partly because it's a stereotype and partly because they do kinda run like the stereotypes even though their measurables do not fit.
August 21st, 2018 at 7:33 AM ^
I dunno man...I have grown to respect your comments here SJRK so no biggie, but I consider Higdon to have the quicker 'first step' speed but Evans faster over 50 yards. I could be wrong, but at least both have home-run potential.
August 21st, 2018 at 8:49 AM ^
You're likely correct that Evans is faster in the 50 but his problem is that he has a much more difficult time getting to that "50" on the football field than Higdon. If you can't break arm tackles at the LOS your "50" speed isn't worth a damn.
August 21st, 2018 at 11:35 AM ^
The 40 times from last year show Higdon is faster and I think the eye test confirms this. Though some of that may be due to Evans’ long stride.
August 21st, 2018 at 12:14 PM ^
Huh? The 40 times from last year show Evans, not Higdon, was faster.

August 21st, 2018 at 7:15 AM ^
How come they dont flex in the first picture
August 21st, 2018 at 8:18 AM ^
Who dat kid and why did he eat Chris Evans?
August 21st, 2018 at 8:20 AM ^
Now they're both 'Thunder and Lightning', yeah!
August 21st, 2018 at 8:46 AM ^
I weigh 217 too, how come I don’t look like that?
August 21st, 2018 at 8:50 AM ^
You're 5'4"???
August 21st, 2018 at 9:13 AM ^
I think he's even flexing his hair.... it seems buff too.
August 21st, 2018 at 9:24 AM ^
Good lord his thighs are thicc.
August 21st, 2018 at 9:43 AM ^
How much of that difference is due to Evans really trying to flex in the “after” shot vs. just standing in a normal pose in the before shot?
Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure he’s bulked up. I’m really just curious by how much.
August 21st, 2018 at 8:28 PM ^
That is an amazing transformation for just 15lbs weight gain. If as we suspect most players have improved like this, the explosiveness of this team will be something else.
