I can dig this.

As a physician and a son whose mother is dealing with an incurable form of cancer, I heartily agree with the F_ck Cancer sentiment.
Keep fighting and let's kick cancer's ass!

This genuinely makes me happy to hear. I remember you going public with this a month or so ago. Couldn't picture being in that position, especially with children. I hope things keep progressing well.

but sounds as though the new drug is helping. Keep thinking positive and here's to full remission!!! I am with you Cali Wolverine and join you in saying "fuck all cancer and go blue!"
December 13th, 2013 at 1:45 PM ^
...for your wife... and for this experimental drug. Lost my dad (self inflicted) and both grand fathers to cancer.
Also, thanks for posting a posbang thread that has a subject worth posbanging. Offense intended to the other threads.
December 13th, 2013 at 1:53 PM ^
That's an awesome improvement Cali.
FUCK CANCER and GO BLUE.

Okay, I am going to put it out there. I thought this was going to be just a random posbang like the other. I was going to wise crack and say, "This should be a I'd F-ck Kate Upton Posbang Thread." I am sorry for assuming that before entering.
Thanks for surprising me, and sharing this wonderful story of triumph. Your wife sounds like a fighter. What a bad ass that woman is. Prayers out to both of you and your family. And a wholehearted Fuck Cancer to boot.

Who negged this?!?
1. Never neg the pink pony. The story of how this was created is comedic gold. Now that we have the system in place you can expect a lot of +1's from me baran
2. F!@# C@&*!^ (I think both words are foul)
3. Good Luck and prayers OP

I negged my own post. Self inflicted wound.

if it wasn't for a new drug, he'd be in the ground; and its still a long road ahead. F*ck cancer indeed, but hail to the good folks who keep him around to break my balls!

Fuck cancer is right.
I lost a good friend almost one year ago to brain cancer whcih made his high school experience difficult and prevented him from starting college at Yale...but he battled to the end.
Best of luck to you and your wife...I know the MGoBlog community is pulling for both of you.

Did she name it OHIO? Beat OHIO!

Best of luck in the struggle, and let's hope the good trend continues. Having the right positive attitude always makes a difference regardless of the type of treatments, and hopefully your wife knows that there are a lot of complete strangers like me that are thinking of her and wishing her (and you of course) all the positive energy we can muster.
I wish that posts like this would make some of our, ummm... less tactful... posters realize that we're all people with real life problems and difficulties, and that sometimes being civil can go a long way toward making life easier.
December 13th, 2013 at 1:55 PM ^
I feel fortunate that I could use my first +1 for this.
Fuck you, cancer.

Easiest upvote ever, love the sentiment
Hopefully with all the research going on, someday we'll be able to not only beat cancer but run up the score doing it. No mercy for that opponent...

I can definitely get behind this.
It is excellent to hear that your wife is responding to the treatment - hopefully, things look up from here for you guys. Go Blue to both of you!
As for cancer, yeah, it can take a long walk off a short pier. Three of my four grandparents died from some form of it over the years, as well as two of my aunts and even a cousin.

Of all of the posbangs over the past few days, this one takes the cake. Congrats on the good news and I hope things continue to get better!
Oh, and F-UCK CANCER!

Keep on fighting the good fight my friend!!! Fuck Cancer!
December 13th, 2013 at 2:04 PM ^
I lost 3 of my grandparents to it, and my mom had it but beat it, as well. Basically that's the only risk factor in my family, so I know that's what's gonna kill me too some day. But f*ck cancer! I hope the doctors cure it before it gets me.
To Cali Wolverine - I hope the new drug continues to work well on your wife and that she makes a full recovery. That would be a great thing. Keep sharing the news on this, f*ck people that complained about you in the past when you'd talk about this on here.
December 13th, 2013 at 2:08 PM ^
Glad to hear that the experimental treatment is working well for her, and hope that her treatment continues on a positive course and she's able to put this in her rear view mirror.
To hell with cancer, and Go Blue!
December 13th, 2013 at 2:10 PM ^
do you happen to know what the drug is called (just out of curiosity)?

The ABT study is for castration-resistent prostate cancer.
The BMN is being studied on solid tumors.
