NFL Draft Discussion-1st round
Where does JJ go? Any other Michigan guys in first round. I’m not from Michigan but I will throw in the question of who do the Lions go after? If I’m the Bears I’m drafting JJ and then Odunze. I just think he will be better than MHJ. Thoughts overall?
Here's where Jimmy shocks the world and picks ...JJ?
(edit @8:48: WRONG! He picked a [oops] domer...EWWWWW)
Would be epic. Worst case scenario JJ learns from Herbert for a few years before taking over. If not, they trade Herbert and he starts right away

He's serious about winning it all from the LOS like he did at M. This pick shows it. He didn't even trade back to QB hungry teams. He knew the brilliance and the need of that pick. Frankly, it's the only way when you play in Mahomes' division and the whole league is trying to copy that style. Zig when others zag. Run and control the ball and kill the clock. Limit Mahomes' possessions. It will pay in a few years.
Kyler Murray, JaMarcus Russell, and Mitch Trubiskey are off the board. Someone is going to get JJ at 5.
Touché.. I regret I only have one “thumbs up” to give …
C'mon Minn. Get on the phone!
Is there a trade about to happen?
Ryan day looks lost in the state of Michigan, What's new
Where is Marvin Harrison SENIOR?
I think he just takes his favorite OT. Why help Minnesota after the stuff that happened a year ago? And Denver and Vegas are in the division. Giants will get JJ.
Really hope the Giants to not take JJ... they are a mess of an organization.
Good call!
Good player, but feels like he could have gotten him a few picks later.
I guess no good trade options?
I don't like rooting for the Giants... but it's better than Minnesota.
I agree, damnit, I do not want the Lions facing JJ, Caleb and Jordan 2 x a year for the next 10 years.
Could not have been a more Harbaugh pick.
Lining up the beef just so he can draft Corum tomorrow and run teams into the ground.
Was it me, or did Alt and his family not look excited one bit?
I think it was a delayed reaction. They are definitely excited their son is picked at #5.
As expected Harbaugh goes with Alt. Getting ready to pound it in the AFC West!
Joe Alt to Chargers was forgone conclusion since JH was hired.
Should’ve taken JJ
They still owe Justin Herbert $100M - you think they were going to throw that away?
Don’t follow them that close. I did see where the Vikings were trying to get a quarterback, either by trade or draft so that could’ve been an option?
Whoa, Giants picked quickly. Let's see who it is.
Thank god.
JJ’s career would’ve been over before it even started if the Giants drafted him. Guess Danny Dimes gets one more year.
JJ is gonna make these teams look really dumb if you ask me.
I think the Falcons end up with JJ... which means I might actually go to some games!
My hometown team! I would not be mad at that. They've got some great offensive weapons. That said, they did just sign Cousins to a 4 year deal. Not sure why they'd sign him at 8 and just sit him for a few years behind Cousins.
Cause Cousins sucks.
My hometown team as well. PTC
I hope they take him because I don't want the Jets to take him. I can stomach the Falcons. I don't want to root for the Jets.
This is an odd thing to watch. Love JJ and obviously the sooner he gets picked the better for him but at the same time there's yet to be a team where I want to see him go. Lions don't really need him so I'm not sure what I'm even cheering for here.
I don't get it. The NY Football Giants still have Daniel Jones as a QB... YOu think a WR is going to make him a better QB? LOL!!
The Giants need so much... I guess they just took the best player available. And he is a hell of a player.
They can cut Jones loose after the season due to an opt out. Would've loved McCarthy here, but WR was really a need for the offense. The Giants have many needs, and I would rather see them go for a QB after they fix the O-line. The choice was a good one. The Giants did not fuck it up. The Vikings will trade up for JJ soon, no doubt.
Looks like JJ is gonna fall to number 11 for the Vikings. 11 is my favorite number though so there is that.
I'm thinking the Falcons pick him up before that, but we'll see.
They just signed Cousins.
Jordan Love plan, which would be awesome for JJ.
And I live just outside Atlanta and hate Cousins, so this is my dream scenario. I can believe for a few more minutes...
Denver could still trade up if they want JJ.
Do not want. I do not want JJ in Minnesota. I would prefer to enjoy the Lions running the division for a while. But with JJ, I feel the Vikings would be in the driver's seat within 3 years. JJ will that good...
Nabers is a solid pick there, but I really think the Giants blew it - sticking with Daniel Jones another year with no one coming up is basically admitting they can't compete.
Now we have some opportunity for trading up.
Hard to predict what next year's QB draft class is going to be like though... Carson Beck (UGA), Quinn Ewers (Texas), and Shedeur Sanders (Colorado) have the early hype, but surprising players always end up rising up the draft throughout the season.
Looks like JJ's best chances for a landing spot now are in Atlanta, Minnesota or Denver.
Malik is skinny! He opened up that jacket and looks like I did 30 years ago - thin.
Starting to fear JJ to the Vikings; The Broncos are a perfect fit and, unfortunately, the Vikings are a very good fit too.
Everything is going chalk so far.
if Minnesota gets JJ without having to move up, WOW. Colts landing bowers at 15 would also be a steal
I think Bowers doesn't get past Rodgers and the Jets... Rodgers will know how to make him doubly dangerous.
I don't see Atlanta going QB - they just invested $180m in Cousins, and he's good enough.
$180M??? WTF?? I had no idea they paid that much for him!
