The photography is spectacular. I am perusing the National Park stuff in order to support (via non-sports photos). One nit-pick re: Voyageurs - that bird is a Ruffed, not a ruffled, Grouse. Sorry to be that guy.
Golf with youngest son Saturday (wave to the UM hockey AA pops at his condo off the 6th green), yardwork Sunday, make the rounds of the old folk on Monday. All of my kids grandparents have made it to late 80's, so it's good to see them and share some memories.
Try "Sit Down Young Stranger", anything off "Summer Side of Life", or , and most importantly, have a "smoke" and listen to "Sunday Concert" straight through. Thank me later.
Torn here - my Pop won a bronze for Canada in the 56 Olympics (and a Mem Cup, and an Allen Cup), but since he went to UM (2 time AA) he's all about team USA, while I'm still rooting for the Johnny Canucks. Yes, I do live vicariously through my father.
Detroit area - 2 separate playoffs; MAHA districts (late Jan to mid Feb), and Little Caesars league playoffs (mid Feb to early Mar). Little Caesars is crazy - based in SE Mich (Mike Ilitch) but includes teams from Traverse City and Bowling Green Ohio and everywhere between.
Thanks for asking, XM!
SB, go Chiefs, only because I lived in KC for 9 months
Life - heading to Niece's wedding tomorrow, marrying a 99% great guy (minus 1 % for Blackhawks fan). My 12u hockey team starts playoffs next week, and we're going to do some damage.
Couple glasses of red...
You have no idea (check that - you probably have every idea) how badly i would love to get out of this cubicle and go muck out some stalls. 20+ years of working outside and greed has stuck me at a desk. Not joking when i say my mental health has declined every day that I dont smell the air, foul or otherwise.

Agree. SJRK. Season tickets from '76 until RichRod, watched every single game since then (live or otherwise), and this is the best I've ever seen.
My Pop will probably still hold out for '48, but you know how these old Blues are...
You got shorted a French hen.

Mt Rushmore is three Land Surveyors and some other guy. That's all I got.
I surveyed his property in Bloomfield, ca 1987-88. csb.
Canadian Railroad Trilogy, and Ballad of Yarmouth Castle (both live on "Sunday Concert"), will make you forget about the commercial mid 70's work.

But me, I concur
+1 underrated
Wait... It took you 4 minutes to run the 400?
My Pop is on that list.
+1 From an old Surveyor; for knowing about baseline, meridian, and 36 square miles.
Congratulations USA! Go Blue!
USA team defense is incredible.
My first double post!
USA team defense is incredible.
I coach my 13 yr old. He's good, not D1 good, but better than me at that age.
53 Barrie Flyers - on a team with Don Cherry!

DUDE, DO YOU EVEN LEGO?
Truer words ne'er were spoken. I basically only log in to see if XM has posted.

That's good stuff right there
Don't care who the governor is or what party. Anyone who will open the goddamn ice rinks gets my vote.
My wife can sit for two hours in a salon chair a foot away from her stylist, but I can't get my team on a 200' x 85' rink?
This is frickin awesome. I feel like I'm I'm a scientist just for reading it, or maybe by osmosis. Or something.
Not sarcasm, BTW, this is really cool, and impressive that one who is so versed in this can make it (somewhat) accessable to fools like me.
Thanks XM. I'm troopin' everybody out there. Cheers.
Definite +1 for connecting Cream and British PMs. Q. Victoria called him "dear old Dizzy"
Congratulations to your son and the whole family. From what Ive seen through your posts, some coach is getting a well-raised young man.
3 Days of the Condor
"...All the bowling alleys had been wrecked. So's I spent most of my time lookin for beer."
"Stand back, eh, my brother's got a whiz to throw!"
These are indeed strange days when you start a sentence with, "Fortunately I broke my leg this week..."
Apropos of nothing, he and I grew up on adjacent blocks (he was a couple years behind me in school). My miniscule hands delivered their morning paper.

Upvotes to both for GaS
Dropped 3rd strike on 3rd batter, makes it to first. Pitcher is credited with a strike out even if the guy makes first.3 strikes to 4th hitter.
Oops, a hair late...
Appropriate band...
Late to the thread, but 100% in for UM Hockey. Pops was 2-time All-American for Vic Heyliger and MVP senior season.
Been going to games since +/- 1975
I'll have to confirm with my MGoMom, but I believe she was dating Mr. Youngblood at the time of his victory over Jack.
Great win tonight against a solid FigThing club.
Would like to read it, did I miss the link?
my first bang
For those of us who read every word of your posts, this is chuckle-inducing deprication.
I would love to take my son to his first game. Thank you for the shot at it.
Who the hell could ever give a snarky response to XM? by far the kindest, coolest poster on the board.
If they have Intellivision II, I'm there.
