ChiSox ballpark with its terrible name is devoid of any character and sits in a nothing part of town. But they have light up pinwheels on the scoreboard when someone hits a HR! Very sterile all concrete feel to it.
I remember the old ballpark in Arlington when it was somewhat new in ‘94. Steep upper deck stairs and they somehow made a modern stadium with obstructed view seating ala Tiger Stadium.
I do like Pittsburgh’s ballpark. Smallish with a great view of the surrounding city and bridges.
Comerica is still very good. The features in the concourse are good, team history and statues of the greats. Above average experience for kids, carousel and Ferris wheel. Solid sight lines and view of downtown. They finally installed bigger TVs out by the concessions.
Fenway is great. Surrounding area is part of the experience. Historic and unique. A huge part of baseball. I wish old Tiger Stadium was still our park. Nothing better than seeing bits of the field while walking up the ramps. Then the field opened up as you entered your section.
I had a work lunch at the ballpark in Milwaukee. I think it was a TGI Fridays. No game at the time. It was far from the rest of the city. The roof was half open.

i believe that grading draft picks as soon as they’re drafted is one of the most futile and foolish exercises in sports. critiquing a front office for addressing needs sure. but in reality you can’t fully assess until 2-3 years down the road. having said that, I think Holmes got a haul in 2021, Sewell 7th A+, Onzurike 41st C-, Mcneill 72nd A , St. Brown 112th A+, Barnes 113th B, Jefferson 257th D.
‘21 was one of the best drafts in Lions history if not the best, remains to be seen if it’ll be better than ‘89 with Barry, Crockett, Utley, think what you want about Rodney Peete but he had 15 seasons in the NFL, not bad for a 6th rounder.
As for addressing needs, i think they did good not great in this draft. their clear position of weakness was addressed by the top 2 picks. they filled needs for backups/future pieces on D-line and O-line. Likely reached with the 2 picks in the middle and probably could’ve gotten better value for what they traded away to move up for both.

first sprained my ankle playing basketball in 7th grade i think. After that it felt like a rubber band and would get minor sprains from the occasional uneven pavement or landing on a foot in basketball.
3rd bad sprain was from flying off a tube behind my uncle’s bass boat a few years after first sprain. wrapped it and iced it at night. that summer i spent a lot of time in my cousins pool and in the lake. never had problems with it since, that was around ‘91. I think swimming was key to getting it back.
