Oakland is in play (again)

Just read the article. It’s clickbait garbage. No kidding NFL teams will be interested in Harbaugh after the season Michigan is having. 
In other news, water is wet. 

It’s great to have an elite coach - and the only one in football to take a college and an NFL team to the playoffs. If a recruit is not smart enough to see through this stuff- then he probably should attend another school. 

Funny....he wins and all the sudden "He's going back to the NFL" and "Who knows who will be coaching Michigan next year" talk again. People drive me crazy. Cant they see he is happy here? He finally gets the win over OSU and wins the B1G. Gets to the playoff and now "I bet he leaves to the NFL" talk pipes up again. Ridiculous. 

We see through your BS rival recruiters!!! Furthermore, why in the ever loving hell would he go to Oakland? SMH

This dude works for Chat Sports, and I can't find any evidence of the ESPN article he's talking about.  Probably safe to ignore.

If he wanted to ever leave then last year the door was open. He’s loving his Michigan life and this will not change. He’s earned the right to stay as until he doesn’t want to. The man drives an f150 and depresses like a goof, job titles and money mean nothing anymore. 

Sin City is a beautiful place to raise a family. 

Kind of reminds me of Kingsbury. Texas Tech fires him, the NFL teams are tripping over themselves to hire him. He has one good year (or at least part of a year) and the someone started scuttlebutt about Oklahoma. (Maybe O did it to keep recruits until they found a replacement.) The era of misinformation.

There is an article behind ESPN's pay wall that I refuse to contribute to that discusses the Raiders opening but beyond that, I see it as more of the same, Harbaugh is successful and the rumors are a way to stick it to Michigan in recruiting..  All you need to do is see his reaction when he and his family meet on the floor of Lucas Oil Stadium after the championship game.

My expectation: if Michigan wins the National Title this year, ESPN will release an article about people dying from heart disease after a diet of steak and whole milk or death statistics from car accidents on US-23.

they played this sorry argument both ways for so long. IMO he should tour NFL stadiums with his family and tweet pictures on the field. No context, no words. Just photos of his smiling family wearing championship rings inside NFL stadiums. 

I read it. Complete speculation. Graziano even says that there is no indication that he is looking to get back to the NFL.

I know they won’t but I wish he’d put something out there about how he ain’t leaving and unlike these other coaches leaving their programs and teams high and dry for the almighty dollar that he actually is giving money back to other covid affected employees. 

I am no expert, but generally people don't give away millions of dollars to employees in the athletic department and then bolt for a new job.  Jim's actions are the actions of someone who is in this for the long haul.  

If he felt horribly disrespected with his contract, he wouldn't be giving all his bonus money back.  Yes, he deserves a better contract in the future.  Manuel will be in position to give him that given his recent success.

Michigan WANTS Jim here.  Manuel just had to be careful because if he signed Jim to a huge extension and he kept losing to OSU every year people would be calling for Manuel's head.  He actually handled things pretty beautifully, and will now be able to give Harbaugh a better contract without putting his own job in jeopardy.

Throughout the season JH just seemed happy and content.  Have we seen him with “the love” for a team like has shown and expressed?  He just seems like a different guy.

Methinks he sees the positive upward trend that is starting and wants to continue it.  And maybe he grooms a successor over the next few years.

Let it never be said that ESPN is a news organization.

Was watching an interview after the game Saturday night. I believe it was on big ten network and his son Jack was with him. He made the comment that Jack was goinig to be a Michigan quarterback said "he's got a pretty good arm". I hope thats true because i gotta believe Jim is staying for that.

The ESPN article in question includes the line "there's no reason to think he's looking to leave his alma mater" which is where it could have ended. But instead there's re-heated 5+ year old gossip around the Raiders and Dolphins based on generic factoids (the Raiders need a coach and Harbaugh knows Davis, the Dolphins may change coaches and Ross is a Michigan guy) rather than any specific new information.

This is a reporter trying to cobble together a NFL 'couching carousel' article because he has a deadline and that's what he's paid to do.

And the Bears version will be tomorrow. And the Dolphins version next Tuesday. And the......

Living in Vegas would suck.  Harbs doesn't strike me as a guy who would like it there much.

Lol nothing to see … as long as Jim is here there will be rumours about the NFL … only concern is recruiting lies but that is standard procedure always been here … there is no worry about CFP distractions… if nothing else JH is totally committed to the team , look back on his exit from SF , even when it was a 100% given that he was gone he would not discuss anything but preparations for Niner games … this will only enforce the team the team the team mentality… come and get some Georgia!!!! That’s why I said an option. If we don’t go for a young stud at HC I wouldn’t mind harbough. But I’m with you. I’d like to go with a younger guy
