The Michigan and Its Legacy in the NHL (ESPN link disclaimer)

Saw this cool little 8 minute feature about Mike Legg and The Michigan and the impact it has had in the league. Didn't realize it took so long until it became more prominently attempted in the NHL.

I just watched it this morning.  It was broadcast this past Sunday.  There is supposed to be a 30 for 30 documentary about it that has not come out yet.  Worth watching.

Mike Legg was a Yost a few years ago (probably before COVID - I just looked it up it was 2016 how time flies) to celebrate the anniversary of the championship and he did the Michigan through the Score-O while shooting it from the opposite goal line.  Quite impressive.

Apologies for the source of the link.

Thanks for posting!  I had intended to watch this last Sunday, but important life events encroached (I overslept).

As an aside, bring back the shiny unis from that era!  Those shiny gold Michigan hockey jerseys were magical.  Football needs to wear the shiny pants Desmond wore, and basketball needs to wear the shiny unis of the Fab Five.

I doubt anyone was watching my Leafies take on the Devils last week. I was almost asleep when Mitchie Marner made an obscene move. Stick handled the puck though his legs twice before shooting! The Devils' announcers were impressed. "We need a name for that move. If the lacrosse move is called, 'The Michigan', maybe that move should be called, "The Ohio State'!    Noooooooooo! I nearly threw my mug at the TV
