This per 247. Hopefully we'll see him in Ann Arbor.

Johnell Davis >>> Johnell Smith
You should slap yourself for even typing such a thing.
Sparty gold here.... how about that son of a bit#$
Never gets old.
No one did harsh self-criticism like John L.
Also declared for the draft (same as Goldin).
Someone correct me if I'm wrong: I think they're doing that to go through the evaluation process so they know what to work on. Basically, it's a free trial run for when they do it after next season.
This is Davis's second time declaring for the draft, and both players will be 23 next month. If they get any NBA interest, it wouldn't be surprising if they stayed in the draft.
That said, both can return to college, both entered the portal, and I don't think many people see them as draftable. NBADraft.net is a solid draft source, and neither player made their top 100 list (Kentucky has 9 of the 100, Edey is #45, Dickinson is #86).
It is crazy to me how the NBA has changed to where a traditional 7 footer can't even get a cup of coffee. There was a crazy stat that something like 17% of people over 7 foot played in the NBA. Wonder if that is down to 10% or something.
I had a buddy who was 6'8", but looked taller. He never played basketball. We'd go to the bar and almost every girl would ask him if he was a basketball player. I almost felt bad for him other than the fact that none of the girls were asking me if I was a wrestler....
Can you imagine the shame of being an athletic 7'2" or 7'4" and not being a pro basketball player?
They play pro just not in the NBA. Europe still values the 7 footer. Can make some good money too. Also if you get in the right spot what a beautiful place to live
Yesssss *evil laugh*
Do want.
if he doesn't end up at Michigan...... FIRE WARDE!
There's rumor that May is looking to hire Akeem Miskdeen from UGA. He is also the reason why Johnell Davis committed to FAU. He's also Khani Rooths primary recruiter at UGA. Something to think about.
Is he a grad transfer or just spent his freshman year at FAU last year?
If not, I'm skeptical about his credit transfer situation. Seems like unless you come from Stanford, UVA or an Ivy, you should plan on little to none of your credits transferring to UM.
Does someone have to make this comment in every.single.thread. about potential transfers?
We get it guys. UM has had some stringent transfer issues. You are not saying anything new by posting this.
He is a grad transfer. This has been mentioned in every message board post and front page post that has talked about the FAU transfers.
What Quail said. But also the academic quality/reputation of the school is mostly immaterial. The main issue is you can’t come in three credits short of graduating, take one class, and then get a diploma that says you graduated from Michigan.
I will say the over/under is 2.5 on how many of these FAU guys come here. What' says you?
I'll take the over. Goldin, Davis and Martin.
One.
Under.
