Flying in from MSP for the Indiana game - When are kickoff times usually announced?  Hoping the Indiana game is a 3:30 PM, too old to start drinking at 6AM

Michigan has veto power over that being a night game, a psu friend of mine confirmed with a big ten rules expert via Twitter. I could find the tweet, but I don't want to. Basically, warde would have to actively be acting against the team's best interest in agreeing to a night game. It isn't happening.

Well they can’t “override” the AD… it’s his decision. He can choose to hear people out and allow them to voice their opinion, but it’s HIS choice. And regardless of what anyone says to him, his choice shouldn’t change here. No night game white out.

That'll only be a night game if Michigan agrees to it. Once November rolls around, both schools have to agree to it otherwise Penn State it shit outta luck.

Considering their season is going down the toilet quickly, I don't know how much push there will be at that point in the season to have a night game anyway, but I could be wrong.

Does that mean we agreed to a November night game in Kinnick in 2016? Or a November night game at Minnesota in 2017? I have seen some posters report that schools have the right to refuse after the first week of November, but I have not seen anything concrete reported.

I think the night game decisions are more complicated than just a simple veto now as the conference is required a certain number of primetime games for the networks by contract. I think one difference is the Kinnick game was scheduled before the season, but if I recall correctly, the Michigan-Minnesota game in 2017 was scheduled for primetime a week before the game. The 2016 Iowa game was also under the old TV contract.

The Big Noon kickoffs are getting pretty annoying. Of course, Michigan played most of it's games at noon throughout most of time, but it seems like they never play in the 3:30 slot anymore. They're either night games or noon games. Noon was perfect for snoozers against MAC teams or the lower B1G teams but games against Wisconsin - and certainly a top 10 matchup vs. Michigan State -  should not be squeezed into the noon slot. My theory is that Fox is afraid of CBS's weekly SEC matchup at 3:30 which is stupid.  I don't mind that they're trying to turn the noon game into something big but use it to transition to your best game at 3:30. The end.

(I live in the central time zone now and I still haven't adjusted. 11 AM is too early and disruptive to start a big game!)

DVR is the answer.  I’m on the Left Coast so all games “start” at 5 pm and end by 7 pm.

Skip commercials and the halftime report, and it doesn’t only free up two hours of my day, I hit the 15 second jump between called plays if we’re rolling, or sometimes when we’re not bc I cannot suffer the “sky is maybe falling anxiety.”

Also helps cut short the 5 minute official reviews.

This is a revenge game for the first time since 1988. I trust all the people here who were kissing their Tom Allen posters before going to bed last year finally threw those things out? Can we please go back to hating the douche nozzle who frantically celebrated the fact that his own player kicked the ball off the ref's spot so we couldn't get a play off from the 2-yard line?

Same, and I’m torn as to whether I want noon or 3:30. 3:30 is nice in November because you have the entire day to hang out in AA and go to breakfast and lunch before the game. Plus, 3:30 start time (which is more like 3:45) means that it’s dusk by halftime and a night game by the 4th quarter. Kinda the best of all worlds if you are coming into town for the game.

May have to. Not a relative, but a the parents of the groom are our closest friends.

Funny 4 years ago my daughter was married during football season, but she scheduled it on UM's bye week.  Then 2 weeks later another friend of the family's daughter was married on the day UM was at IU.

Watched the first half and listened to the 2nd half on the radio.  Wouldn't you know it, it goes into OT.  Sat in the back of the church with my phone out and watched OT, no sound.  Right as the IU pass was picked by UM to seal the win, the bride started down the isle.
