Drew Kendall officially off the board to BC
What a weird recruitment. Good luck to him
December 18th, 2020 at 8:44 PM ^
Drew should be awarded his own pair of crystal balls for Christmas / because he busted ours for months on end
December 18th, 2020 at 8:49 PM ^
Maybe he heard Don's going back to BC???
December 18th, 2020 at 8:53 PM ^
Dude must love BC to spurn Michigan and other better “football” Options. Good for him doing what he felt best.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:46 PM ^
I believe he's a BC legacy, son of Pete Kendall who played in the NFL.
December 18th, 2020 at 10:26 PM ^
Then good for him. I wish him the best at BC.
December 19th, 2020 at 2:11 AM ^
He’s going to go and play for a coach with a lot of potential and early success. You’d have to really want to come to M to have watched this season and still think it’s your best path to success. Luckily a lot of guys do feel that way!
December 19th, 2020 at 12:14 PM ^
You should really ask yourself; "does this comment need to be made, and does it make me look petulant and/or foolish?" before you click the "save" button.
December 18th, 2020 at 8:45 PM ^
Ok..?
December 18th, 2020 at 8:48 PM ^
Hafley is presumably going to have to keep every four-star player that Massachusetts produces (and more) to make BC an ACC contender. It will be interesting to see if he can do it.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:12 PM ^
Will be easier when we fire don brown!
December 18th, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
Ty Chan, the #1 player in Massachusetts in 2022, 4 Star OT, committed to ND last week. The #2 player committee to Michigan. So he’s already missed out on the top two in the 2022 class.
December 18th, 2020 at 11:16 PM ^
Lucky for him we only want the three stars from Massachusetts.
seriously though if he pulls off making BC a contender that’s a hell of a coach right there.
December 18th, 2020 at 8:48 PM ^
That was some vision quest he was on. Did he say how Alex Kozan was doing?
December 18th, 2020 at 9:12 PM ^
we had a board like that at our school. i did that thing literally every day. up, down, backwards, you name it.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:31 PM ^
Yeah... they're not as difficult as that movie makes it out to be.
By the way - the actor that played Kuch is the same guy that played Jake Ryan in Sixteen Candles.
December 18th, 2020 at 10:19 PM ^
the second or third time you went up the board, facing away from the board with your back to it, i sure thought it was a lot like difficult.
December 18th, 2020 at 11:13 PM ^
In same vein, used to do dozens of pull ups and dips with 45 pound weights hanging from a chain belt in my 20's. Now just the thought of it makes me tired.
December 19th, 2020 at 8:57 AM ^
Never tried it facing away from the board. Too difficult for me facing the board.
December 19th, 2020 at 9:11 AM ^
I walked around the block today. Twice.
December 18th, 2020 at 11:11 PM ^
Yea it’s not that hard when you’re in high school and have no fat on your body. I probably couldn’t even get to the second level of holes at age 41 and would probably be crying and looking for my hernia belt.
December 18th, 2020 at 11:36 PM ^
I'm getting my fourth hernia operation Monday! Merry Christmas to me! Ps I loved vision quest ..not many people know about that movie, but I wrestled...so
December 19th, 2020 at 1:52 AM ^
Best of luck with the surgery. Good time to get all this stuff done before the end of the year.
December 19th, 2020 at 12:17 PM ^
Same. That, and the rope to the ceiling. I used the shit out of those. I can still do it today, but not nearly as fast or with the endurance I used to have. Used to shoot up and down those things at lightning speed. Wish I had the headroom to mount one in the house somewhere, but the wife would probably frown on it in the living room (only tallish ceiling).
December 18th, 2020 at 9:15 PM ^
Can someone fill people like me on on the story behind this one? I don't remember hearing about this guy.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:19 PM ^
High school wrestler Louden Swain (Matthew Modine) feels he must do something significant in his life shortly after turning 18. Despite vehement advice against it from his father (Ronny Cox) and coach (Charles Hallahan), Swain decides to try to lose over 20 pounds in a very short time in an attempt to take on the defending state champion of a lower weight class. Meanwhile, he falls for the edgy, older Carla (Linda Fiorentino), who provides further distraction for the young wrestler.
Release date: February 15, 1985 (USA)

This is one of my favorite Mgocomments ever. Well done.
December 19th, 2020 at 9:14 AM ^
Carla had a mean knee. Ouch!
December 18th, 2020 at 9:28 PM ^
Kozan ? He was a OL out of colorado when we desperately needed them. And he hadn't signed and then near the end of the signing period, during a quiet period our pursuit of him filled the sites for a month. And he ended up going somewhere else.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:34 PM ^
I occasionally talk to Alex Kozan's mom (she still works at the HS Alex went to and my son goes to now). I keep wanting to ask her what went down in her son's recruitment but I can't imagine how that question would come across.
December 19th, 2020 at 7:13 AM ^
It would certainly put you over the 3k MGoPoints threshhold. Your decision.
December 19th, 2020 at 8:22 AM ^
You might start by mentioning why you are seeking information about her teenage son in on-line football message boards when he was in high school, and just can't get the story out of your head even today. Explain that it's not as creepy as it sounds, because you like football and just really wanted to continue watching her son's college life from afar. I'm sure she'll understand...
And like Goggles said, the MGoPoints would be huge!
December 18th, 2020 at 10:09 PM ^
What I remember about Kozan is that he would've signed up for the 2012 after a large number of guys (including some O-linemen) committed for 2013. The timing would've been very odd.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:53 PM ^
@Jersey
A bit of internet sleuthing tells us he is employed and putting those Auburn degrees to work. Good for him.

Hafley is quite the recruiter. Curious to see where he ends up
December 18th, 2020 at 9:18 PM ^
As improbable as it is that he would accept, every effort should be made to make his destination Ann Arbor. I’ve said it before, him coming to Ann Arbor could change the trajectory of UM football just as much as MSU passing over Urban Meyer changed theirs, but in the opposite direction. He would be a home run hire and has a much higher ceiling than a Matt Campbell.
December 18th, 2020 at 10:22 PM ^
MSU passed up Meyer?
If that’s indeed true.. how exactly does that change their trajectory?
I’d imagine his tenure would go similarly to how Saban’s did. Elevate their status enough to be noticed & poached by a bigger school. In this scenario, one would hope Zach smith would’ve played the role of Bobby Williams.
December 19th, 2020 at 2:15 AM ^
I’ll tell Warde to put him on his coach list so we can grab him in 4 years after the Harbaugh extension.
December 18th, 2020 at 8:58 PM ^
Go all out for Ceyair Wright, George Rooks and Rayshaun Benny and call it a class.
December 18th, 2020 at 10:34 PM ^
Brian Dohn was on with Sam the morning of Signing Day and said Rooks is all but sealed to PSU.
December 18th, 2020 at 11:12 PM ^
Well hopefully the transfer portal is fruitful for us then.
December 18th, 2020 at 8:58 PM ^
Good luck to Drew. We have a nice haul on the OL already.
December 18th, 2020 at 9:13 PM ^
Huh. Honestly surprised, the latest CBs were to Stanford
December 18th, 2020 at 9:18 PM ^
FUCK YOU ALL!
December 18th, 2020 at 10:02 PM ^
I don't think this is a huge loss for us. Tbh I'm not sure why he was ranked so highly. He's a guard who is listed at ~250 and that honestly seems generous. Apparently he struggles to put on weight and even struggled to get to 250, so I really didn't see much path for him ever starting for us especially for a team that wants to run the ball
December 18th, 2020 at 10:13 PM ^
After reading that ESPN article about the crazy things NFL offensive linemen do to put on weight, I don't blame him.
December 18th, 2020 at 10:16 PM ^
Has anyone ever said why we stopped doing the Signing of the Stars event?
December 18th, 2020 at 10:52 PM ^
That show was booted and replaced with the Transferring of the Stars.
December 19th, 2020 at 1:25 AM ^
It’s much easier when your class has actually received stars.
