Commit Watch Tomorrow: 4* TE Brady Prieskorn and 4* DT Jerod Smith
Tomorrow is shaping up to be a special day for Michigan's 2024 recruiting class with 2 Top 300 recruits announcing their college commitments and both trending to Michigan.
First is Top 100 4* MI TE Brady Prieskorn from Rochester Adams (#56 on 247 Composite) is announcing his college commitment around 3 PM tomorrow. Crystal Ballz are 100% in favor for Michigan.
Second is 4* CT DT Jerod Smith (#270 on 247 Composite) who received 4 Ballz to Michigan this weekend. Both players seem to be announcing on their social media.
By my calculations (using the 247 sports class calculator) these two commitments would move Michigan past Ohio State and would currently boast the #1 2024 class in the country. An incredible feat for Harbaugh & The Staff. As old friends used to say, Buckle Up.
Buckle up!!!!
3* C Jake Guarnera is also supposed to announce his commitment on Friday. All signs are pointing to Michigan at this point
Also, watched Jerod Smith's Hudl tape and I'm a huge fan. Not sure if we see him at edge or inside, but love his get-off and quickness
We CaNT BeaT OsU wITH 3 STaRS!!!!
- Maizen
Who is Maizen? Sounds like they haven't been watching THE GAME the past 2 years. LOL
Legendary whiner
Curious he is gone with nothing seemingly to whine about.
Did you mean winner? No? Okay...
Shea Patterson
It's ye olde MGo Lore

Smith has a twin (not named German, I swear) who may also Go Blue?
Yes, but there has been less Michigan buzz with him at this point. He put us in his top schools and if his twin commits to us, gotta think we have a good shot with him, but not sure they're for sure a package deal
Guarnera would be a top ranked center if they didn’t start grouping all IOL together
Delayed double post…that’s a new one

Don't sleep on his pad level.

I love all the different moves he shows, power to speed, bull rush, can dip his shoulder and get the edge, push/pull snatch technique, spin moves, he uses his hands very well for a high school DT. All while maintaining good body leverage and showing full body coordination. Good feet too.
Hold me TomVH!
I'll miss the days of complaining about how bad Harbaugh and his staff were recruiting only to have nice surprises at the last minute.
Hard to believe this is the same class in which everyone lamented CJ Carr.

Is coach saying “you fuckos” in this gif? Please be so
*orignial comment deleted, I clearly don’t know how to use the class calculator*
Sam was just saying during the round table it didn’t sound like Brady was committing any time soon so this is great news
Sam just put in a crystal ball pick for Prieskorn to Michigan. Done deal, baby.
So 2026 portal entries then?
Too soon?
On a serious note I hope there can be some semblance of chill on the "Projections" for these recruits on their profiles. Going back and reading some of what is projected is cringe worthy. A lot of these guys are just pure misses and thats reality across CFB. "first team ALL B10, potential 3rd round NFL pick etc" for half our classes yearly is not reality.
I may be wrong but I always thought that "projections" meant something like "what we see if this player pans out as hoped" rather than "I am betting this will happen."
A true projection for some guys of "most likely will never start and probably will serve as depth only and/or a transfer" is a bit of a Debbie Downer.
Buckled and ready for some HELLO posts!
Getting all buckled up!!! Both would be great additions. Go Blue!!!
Brady out of the blue commitment would be epic!
It would be awesome to see Michigan as the team with the number one recruiting class in the nation. In all my years of closely following recruiting, which dates back to about 2007-08, I can't remember them EVER being number one at any point.
I know they aren't likely toend the cycle there, but for a little while it will be fun.
It won't happen. Look at average recruiting rank and UM is still towards bottom of top 10 at end most cycles. Early and have a lot of recruits and good solid class. But Bama Georgia (Hell even OSU mercenary school) will have higher ave per player. Bama only has 6 guys but their ave is 95+. UM is doing better than late in the 91s per player (last year 89s I believe) so it's progress.
SC (Not that SC) is #6 fergodsakes with a higher per player grade. #BAGS
It is better by 0.52 and their class contains 10 players. Six from SC and two from neighboring Georgia. It isn't that surprising.

Michigan just had the #1 class like 2 years ago.
Diabate, Houstan, Bufkin, Collins, Tchetter, Barnes...
Too soon?!

Yes......yes it is.....
Would be cool but I'd be happy with being top 5 every year. Top 3 would be awesome.
