Don't let Denard do what Denard does best, against one of the best teams in the nation if the the risk is losing him for his entire Sr. year. While Borges was more conservative than normal I'm fine with this actually. Our only chance in this game was to let Denard be Denard, which may have then costed us having a healthy Denard for the rest of the year. It really stunk to be that hand-tied all game long and I hated this part of it. But really, he almost got hurt several times without the offense being that creative.
I think the coaches knew what they were up against and made sure they didn't lose their best chance at a successful season by putting all chips in for one single game against a far more experienced team.
While I don't like saying it - for this, I appreciate fans aren't in charge and coaches are.
will always cherish time spent on campus, along with the athletics obsession that developed as a result. But by far my degree has been the most important thing that M has contributed to my life.
can't think of anyone I'd more describe as a Michigan Man than JUB. Willing to tell it like it is at great cost (do you think LC,I DB or RR will ask him out for a coffee or beer anytime soon?). Tells it straight and then tells us (the fanbase) he believes enough in us to be able to hear it, handle it, and adapt moving forward to be better because of what he's been able to share. Go Blue. Go John. God Bless the Wolverines. that is all...

Lets suppose both DB and RR know the decision (I think it to be the case) and the reasons for not going public now may be:
1. RR stays - This could mean they have an attitude of 'screw the media' . Letting people know now simply allowsj more piss-poor coverage about RR and DB instead of the bowl game. At least now they have to admit its all conjecture.
2. RR goes - well, if this is the case RR gets to look for work elsewhere out of the limelight (kinda like when he met a certain AD in Toledo if I'm not mistaken). Also allows for resignation vs. firing. not a bad way to go.
Anyhow, there could be totally valid reasons that a decision has been made and shared with RR, but not public. Kinda makes sense.
So I had a 4-hour drive back from N. Michigan after the game and for some reason picked up the post-game chat on the station above. Could hardly stomach it, not for the haters, but the lack of intelligence in their hate.
Can anyone enlighten me to the RR critics who say his biggest indictment is that 'you have so many other Big Ten coaches hoping he stays' Presumably b/c he sucks? Where did this start and is it actually true? My bet is the other B10 coaches could care less either way. Too busy coaching their own programs.
A cheap, factless soundbite imo, but interested in other's thoughts.
believing everythings on the right track (just a bad day), and wanting to rock back'n forth in the fetal position repeating 'everything's going to be ok, really.'
This, is Michigan football for now. Better than '08, more splendid in its start than '09. But please-for-the-love-of-God lets progress from here!!!
OK, back to drinking (and doing that rocking back'n forth thing).
..is that in all ways DB has gone about his job, representing Michigan and the program aren't to be thrown aside because of a disagreement on schedule. Bothers me too it may move and I agree with the basis of arguments made on these boards, but to raise the ire to 'fire his ass' is small...that is all
I believe young Mr. Tate's played in exactly 5 collegiate games....a bit premature to talk about trends. Saving the one where he's consistently pulled off something jaw-dropping in each game.
Given the lack of talent on D save a few right now, its a credit to the coaches that M kept Sparty to 20 through regulation...and its not all due to Sparty not executing...M's D had something to do with it.
Time will tell, but I think the guys we have right now are being coached to execute above their overall talent level at the moment.
Am hoping we can keep the offensive spark heading into the 1st quarter next week. Its been two straight weeks of not clicking until the late 2nd half. That said, this is a year to enjoy watching the team grow, and learning from this will go a looooooong way toward improvement for the remaining season. These guys at least always are making it fun to watch.

Go Blue always and forever.
Well done sir.

that is all...
perfect analogy.
well done.
New standard "always have it in the 'fridge" beer. A few more likely to follow.

For expressing absolutely everything I'm feeling at the moment in the most eloquent of terms. The best line was by far:
To those whom this article has offended, well, guess what: I hate you.
So do I brother. I hate everything and everyone who doesn't hate what I hate.
I need some koolaid.
quick and to the point...gets it done.
the raspberry koolaid. Harder to find nowadays but was always really good with a splash of OJ.
Happy to consume the MGoBlog Koolaid anyday.

No one knows...its a graduate level course.
...how epic this will be once revised at the end of the year.
Loved every bit of it...many thanks!
Good guy, even remember his wicked hits in his UM glory days. Wish him all the best.

A relic who lives in the past if ever there was one...bitter and angry at being left behind in the media and it shows...pathetic
Will never forget it...set the tone for a spectacular year.
