OSU won a national championship a few years ago with their third string quarterback... and OSU also just torched us with a freshmen receiver. Where were our freshmen athletes with a full season of being coached up and ready to make a big debut?
Answer: the coaches either haven’t coached them up or the coaches haven’t recruited the talent. Either way, it’s the coaches.
Great coaches get the most out of the players they have. The players overachieve relative to their talent and the teams get upset wins against opponents with superior athletes.
Harbaugh stubbornly runs his antique offence, and when playing against similar talent his teams choke in tight games or get blown out.
Don’t even put Harbaugh in the same conversation as Lloyd Carr.
Yes, we wanted more out of Lloyd’s teams. But they were always in the hunt and he has actually achieved the success that Harbaugh never has. And Lloyd’s teams never so embarrassed the program as this seasons OSU and Florida performances.
It is impossible to take a program that’s been absolutely owned (3-12) by its rival, and expect to turn it around in one year with a win, then have the program go on a 16-2 run of domination.
Remember when Jim Tresel, newly hired as a “nobody” said “I can assure you that you will be proud of your young people in the classroom, in the community, and most especially in 310 days in Ann Arbor, Michigan.” Flipped the rivalry in just one year and OSU has left us in the dust ever since. To all the Harbaugh defenders... Where’s Jim Harbaugh’s signature win?

Your post is legit. People that are angry at your legitimate fact based critique of Harbaugh’s performance are delusional, Blue Kool-aid drinking, Maize colored glass wearing, 1980’s 3 yard and a cloud of dust nostalgia throwback homers.
If Urban Meyer was coaching Michigan instead of Harbaugh, we would have been a playoff team twice. Same players, better coach, better system. Ability to win the big game.

Let's make a list of the top 10 reasons why the Peach bowl isn't really another example that Harbaugh is exactly what his record says he is.... and that this season's results actually shows the great progress of an elite college football program.
I think it would be good to put all these amazing reasons together in one post.
A) We need to read them and quickly feel better about the game.
B) We need to memorize them so we can explain to our non-Wolverine friends that think that Harbaugh is epically overrated, the error of their ways.

True, for team character they suck.
But somehow other college teams have freshmen talent that steps up and has breakout games against us. We never do.
Harbaugh is too comfortable. Too much job security.
A smart coach would have used a hopeless bowl game to get McCaffrey and Milton some snaps.
If ND had Ian Book at QB instead of Wimbush they'd have hung 40 on us. Would have prevented us from being so overrated going into OSU game.
