LOL if you consider 118…

LOL if you consider 118 yards and a TD getting shut down.....just wow! Nobody shut Marv down. Not here to throw shade , just an observation. I am actually a lions fan. FYI none of the QBs drafted this year will do anything special in The League, including JJ. He was a game manager who benefitted from a strong defense and running game. You all need to take off your maize and blue glasses.

yep, those bobcats aren't…

yep, those bobcats aren't very good

So you mean to tell me that…

So you mean to tell me that if our coach did the same thing that you wouldnt be crying for his head??? LOL Whatever..... typical deluded homer....

@ darker blew   ....LOL is…

@ darker blew   ....LOL is that all you got.....this aint football, and BTW we just owned your ass for the last 10 years. Get ready for some more woodshed beatings. I was trying to be civil and truely was shocked at several posts from rational fans from your school. Once again you show how classless the socalled "michigan man" can be. I also find it funny ho far you can fall from one year to the next.....Just goes to show how special team chemistry can be. Hunter Dickenson should have gone pro when his stock was through the roof. Now he is stuck on a middling team that wil be lucky to make the NIT.....LOL

Logged in just to see what…

Logged in just to see what the homer fanbase was saying about their coach. Gotta say that I am surprised at how many level headed comments I have read. You all know very well that if this was an Ohio State coach that you all would be calling for his head on a platter. Hmmmmm anyone remember Woody???? All I can say is wow...5 whole games....good luck with your coach. I guess some of you were right when you have said in the past that your AD has no balls. LOL

Joe Burrow was and will…

Joe Burrow was and will always be a Buckeye. Just because he was behind a record setting QB, and didnt get playing time doesnt make him any less a Buckeye. He did graduate from tOSU and will forever be a Buckeye.

Not buckeyjonross here, but…

Not buckeyjonross here, but for the first time in several years I feel a little uneasy about The Game. I think this will be your best chance to get a win in a very long time. As you know our defense will give you opportunities to stay in the game. Our offense will move the ball. The question is , will they score touchdowns or fieldgoals? Our offense will be loaded for the forseeable future, so this is your best shot to slow down a young QB. Given another year, Stroud is going to be lights out special. I will say that I am cautiously optomistic this year. Gun to my head I think you have a 35% chance to win.

Not here to troll, just…

Not here to troll, just wanted to add my take from the other side of the rivalry. In my opinion the biggest factor to winning and losing is recruiting.  The midwest is not the same hotbed that it was 30 years ago. Most of the talent now comes from the south. The days of winning with Ohio and Pennsylvania talent are gone. You have to recruit nationally these days. I dont think your problem is coaching.  Look as Ohio State. Once coach Meyer came and established his level of recruiting tOSU hasn't missed a beat. They are recruiting at an all time clip, and it has not slowed down with coach Day. The kids they are recruiting want to play in his prolific offense. Michigan does also recruit nationally but you are just not at the same level right now. I think once Jim Harbaugh gets over the hump and wins a big game people will take notice.

I could honestly care less…

I could honestly care less about the NFL. They are all a bunch of overpaid premadonnas anyway. As long as they come to OSU and win I'm good. I do enjoy watching successful Buckeyes in the league, but its not the be all end all for me. The point is that the OSU staff got them prepared to be drafted and into the league. What they do with the opportunity is up to each individual. Sure there are super stars from major college programs all over the league. But look at all the little no name players that make a roster because they are hungrier than the big dogs that have been coddled for their entire career.

LOL if that thought allows…

LOL if that thought allows you to sleep at night

That's my point . Haskins…

That's my point . Haskins sat and then played 1 year. He needs more time to develop the critical thinking under live fire from a defense. Agree with a QB friendly system. You just made my point for me. Why wouldn't you want to play for him in that system and set yourself up to be a high draft pick? If Burrow would have been able to beat out Haskins I have no doubt he would have been just as successful at OSU.

Give Day time my friend and…

Give Day time my friend and the results will speak for themselves. Like another poster said before, Haskins cant help the team he was drafted to. You put Tom Brady on the Washington football team and he would get killed game #1.....career over. If he gets another chance to sit behind a vet on another team you may be surprised in a few years. However he has to change some things behind the scenes and prepare and practice like a pro.

mmmmmmmm, you said hot dog…

mmmmmmmm, you said hot dog.....LOL

The point is he got him…

The point is he got him there and he got paid!

totally agree

totally agree

LOL!!! Typical loser…

LOL!!! Typical loser mentality. We cant compete so of course the other team is cheating. Ill say it again. Success breeds success. This is also a cyclical sport where you have to ride the momentum. We have been fortunate enough to hire good coaches and as long as they remain we will be on top of the hill. At this point I think Harbaugh is a second tier coach and you can have him as long as you like. The college football land scape has changed in the last 20 years. No longer is the Midwest rust belt pumping out all the talent. You have to go south and build pipelines which is what we have done in Texas and Georgia and Florida.

Believe me when I say that…

Believe me when I say that as good as Haskins was at OSU he could have used another year in college. Just look at the success Burrow is having by being trained for multiple years. What Haskins has or hasn't done in the league is up to him. But you cant argue that Day didn't help him get there.FYI, this is a what have you done for me lately business and he did nothing with Patterson a former #1 5* QB. Say what you will but our machine will continue to roll and there is nothing you can do about it. The only thing that will stop the pain is a covid outbreak.

Ryan Day was just involved…

Ryan Day was just involved with three quarterbacks that have and will be drafted in the first round. Haskins and Burrow last year. Fields this year. Yes, I know you will argue that Burrow was drafted from LSU. However, he spent a lot of his college career being trained by Ohio State coaches. Simply to answer your "I don't get it" , Success breeds success. The best quarterbacks want to come and be groomed to go to the NFL. You cant argue with the success that we have had. Even if they have to wait a year or two. They know that they will still get drafted. If you were a highly ranked QB, who would you pick?? Ryan Day, a true QB guru, or your boy Jimmy??? Iknow which way I would go, and it aint close. Have a good day!

You had your Chase Young,…

You had your Chase Young, some 5 star out of the northeast if I recall. You also had DPJ which was nonexistent for years against good competition. Problem is you don't develop players. BTW a decent QB would help.

For 600$ I will let you stay…

For 600$ I will let you stay at my place. Take you to and from the game and wont give you shit after the game is over either.

Any more excuses? Wow!!  Did…

Any more excuses? Wow!!  Did you ever think that maybe, just maybe recruits want to play for a winner. Maybe, just maybe our recruiting success is the result of good recruiters as well as results on the field. I agree with you that Harbaugh is about as good as it gets for you.  Football is cyclical. Give it a few years and you will be good again. Bama was trash before Saban got there. We had the cooper years. I will say that success makes it a lot easier though. We have created an NFL factory and as long as recruiting keeps rolling, there is no end in sight. Your problems begin and end with recruiting.

How are we recruiting dirty?…

How are we recruiting dirty?? Do you have proof? The reason we are getting the players that we get go way back to when Urban Meyer came to us from florida. He had a national presence and track record at florida to go with it. The kids today see instant results and the success he had while at florida. They want to be a part of that.  Even when Tressel was at OSU we had decent talent which was mostly from Ohio.  Meyer took it to another level with a national scope and is bringing in guys from across the country. Day has continued this and continues to pull in national recruits. This will continue until you beat us. The gap will continue to widen.  What has Michigan done lately??? Nothing special....... Kids want to play for winners, and you aint it.........

Seriously, stop crying. To…

Seriously, stop crying. To be the best you have to beat the best.  This is the golden age of Ohio State football.  We are not going away anytime soon. Would you rather have a round robin schedule where you play everyone once like the BIG 12? Do you really think that you would make it through without at least 3 losses in conference?  Until Michigan starts to recruit at our level and also starts to develop the talent you have, you will not win.  Personally I cant wait until we catch you for most wins all time.

Dude, you realize that you…

Dude, you realize that you are one of 16 teams left playing right?  If that's going nowhere I'd take that. You all were never going to win it all this year anyway

Oh well, at least you got…

I call Bullshit!! I was just up north skiing at boyne highlands over MLK weekend and the further north I got the crazier the drivers are!! FACT.....

FYI you cant just look at…

FYI you cant just look at the overall ranking of the classes.  For example this year Ohio State will be ranked low and Michigan supposedly has the best class in the B1G, but if you look at the average player rankings OSU is the # 3 recruiting class behind BAMA and GEORGIA.  We were never gonna have a top 10 class this year simply due to the small class of incoming players.

agreed, all good points.  To…

agreed, all good points.  To be the best and compete against the best you need players. It all starts with recruiting. If you don't have the best players then it is hard to compete.Alabama is a machine right now with Clemson not too far behind.  As long as they have competent recruiting they will be a force to be reconed with. They basically recruit themselves.  They sit back and let the talent come to them.

Deceit?? How so ?

Deceit?? How so ?

From what Ive heard, Grinch…

From what Ive heard, Grinch came on board  to be the next D coordinator.  When Schiano didn't get a new Head coaching gig, there is now a log jam. Also from all the discussions on Elevenwariors, the belief is that their defensive philosophies didn't mesh.  I personally would have liked to see how Grinch would have performed on his own, but he was a Meyer hire and a Meyer guy. Day is obviously goin to bring in his own guys so no excuses.

Just so you know, there are…

Just so you know, there are several Michigan posters active on our boards. I find it refreshing to see posts from the other side without all the homerism. We are not all trolls FYI. Sometimes I like to come over here to get a different perspective.

If you honestly believe that…

If you honestly believe that, I want some of what you are smoking!

Why does there have to be an…

Why does there have to be an "angle". Urban retired, Day is moving up to be the head coach, and they needed to fill a void on the offensive coaching staff.
