I've been tracking the system headed towards the great lakes saturday (Weather nerd all my life). Forecasts issued yesterday showed 50-80% of rain between 4am Saturday and 9pm Saturday. As a newer model has been updated earlier this afternoon, it looks like most of the rain will fall overnight on Friday (3am-7am Saturday morning) with a very small chance for drizzle/spotty shower after 3pm.
Notably, it's a drier system for the area, and the amount of rain forecasted for Ann Arbor for that period has dropped from .32 inches to .06 inches.
We are still 48-72 hours out and there can still be changes, however the recent modeling is showing a MUCH better forecast for the tailgating and the game on Saturday.
If Newsome were to win the LT job, most would be okay with that. The fact that Bredeson *could be better than him at this stage is icing on the cake. By the middle of the season, it's hard to consider a guy like Bredeson a true freshman these days. So much training year round, fall camp, etc..
Refreshing to see a number of true Freshman that will play this year based on their talent and not based on lack of depth (Long, Bush, Evans, Gary, Asiasi, Long, Crawford, McDoom, Bredeson) and probably a couple of others. This speaks volumes about the level of recruiting under Harbaugh and bodes very well for the future of the program. Anything to take a few reps away from guys like Peppers or Lewis will help for longevity and keeping guys fresh this year.
