I watched Braylon Edwards and Steve Breaston beat OSU in 2003 for my first ever college football game (live or otherwise) and I still remember thinking Rivas was weird for blessing himself all the time.

This is my thinking as well. The game should be well enough in control that a bad call or a screwing doesn't decide it. Leaving the outcome up to luck/chance/officiating isn't a good strategy for winning.

There's no reason to think you're going to get the benefit of the doubt on close calls when you play on the road. That applies to any game.

I have a feeling they'll be dialed in no matter what, but you have to figure it'll be Harbaugh himself and maybe a couple of clipping from past defeats.

I think we might be able to score points on long plays instead of long drives. I'm thinking DPJ taking slants 80 yards to the house, Higdon breaking one for a TD form our side of the 50, plays like that. Don't forget, OSU's defense is known for giving up "big plays." If we score on those big plays, the red zone might not even come up.

I'm as optimistic as I've ever felt and as long as they put forth a strong effort, I can live with the result.
