It's fascinating to read personal accounts of truly world-changing moments/eras. You get a feeling of what's going on in the community beyond anything written in textbooks...
The pool of potential additions is relatively stable: Gary, Long, Crawford, Hill, Nordin, Young, Murphy
But there are all kinds of rumors floating around regarding potential subtractions: Weaver, Enis, Johnson, Scott, etc... Shoot Dele Harding's twitter profile still mentions he's committed to Michigan.
28 interceptions in two years (including 18 last year) doesn't support your assertions of reading defenses well nor football intelligence... And that's in the weak ACC not known for defenses and with FSU having tons of talent around him.
He definitely has skills, but he's nowhere close to being a sure thing...
2017 is too far out to do any meaningful roster analysis. As someone mentioned earlier, you'd probably find similar "perceived holes" for most teams. Any of the following factors could rectify and/or create new gaps.
- Redshirting players (including medical redshirts) could make more players available in 2017
- Freshmen are playing more nowadays, so you have 3 future classes to fill holes
- Players move between positions all the time (whether it's due to physical growth or positional needs, it can fill gaps)
- Historically (at least at Michigan) more than 50% of each recruiting class end up fizzling out through attrition or not being good enough to be a starter. Better scouting could result in more "productive" players. I'm talking about actual production on the field rather than star ratings, so it's a combination of recruiting the right players and then developing them once they get here.
- I'm sure there are many other factors that could contribute as well including SEC-style tactics such as transfers, jucos, oversigning, etc...
The point: We have a ton of time between now and 2017 to address any perceived gaps...
There are quite a few big egos involved, so the dirt is bound to come out at some point. Could be indirect (like the one above) or a direct interview. To be honest, I couldn't care less. Michigan came out the winner in all of that non-sense...
The 49er fans remember where they were before Harbaugh came along and took them to 3 conference championships and the super bowl. He truly restored that franchise and their ego-driven management has the gall to run him out of town... I'd be pissed too if I was a 49er fan. Luckily I'm not and I can just revel in the glory of getting a great coach with a history of turning programs around. GO BLUE !!!
I think Devin's struggles are largely attributable to the coaches trying to make him a pocket passer. He's more effective in a free-wheeling run/pass offense.
So, a decision needs to be made. Do we return to Denardball to win as many games as we can this year with Devin or do we look to the future and hand the pocket-passer reigns to Shane?
First time running in any kind of event and absolutely loved it. The weather, the campus, and finishing in the stadium by touching the banner made it a memorable experience. #GoBlue
I'm not too concerned with the scores & measurables in-and-of-themself (you can't measure playmaking, hands, football IQ, etc...), but am a tad surprised that all our commitments are in the bottom third of the rankings (of players that completed all events). For that matter, most of our targets fall into that bottom third as well... You always want to see your players score higher...

Very happy to hear this news. No offense to Tuskegee, but having that block M on your degree will open doors for you...
The kid is still young, he made more than he'll ever need, so why not sit back and enjoy? Better now while he's still relatively healthy and young...
I guess the only things I take away are the most recent picks from national and/or core recruiting sites...

Also, there's a reason other HoF's have a waiting period. Emotions wear off and only true 'greats' are inducted.
I'm not sure if Kovacs will stand the test of time, but Novaks probably will...

Wow, I remember the days when tickets were ~$50/game. With the $25 service fee per pack and the $295 base price, it ends up being $80 / ticket...
That would be fine if there were multiple "big" games, but in actuality its 1 big game and 3 minor ones...
