Can't do that for playoffs. If you're a fan of hockey there's nothing better than nhl playoff overtime. A quick break around the 10 minute mark to shovel and the rest is game action.
Broke my collar bone when receiving a suicide pass in hockey. Guy nailed me from behind in the neutral zone. Have been told I did a flip before landing in ice. Don't remember anything between puck hitting tape and me skating off with hand up under my shoulder pad not caring about what was happening on the ice. Also concussed in hockey a couple times and fucked my knee up (couldn't go to doctor as I was traveling down to Tampa for the outback bowl the next morning) trying to turn a late pass into a one time shot. Back knee popped and slammed down on ice while stopping, couldn't get up under own power on the ice and limped my way off. Drank away the pain that night and couldn't walk normally for a month or so.
Sorry Darius, you had us one shot away from the sweet 16 but you weren't the catalyst to getting Michigan back on the map. It was two years prior when we made it back to the tournament and knocked off Clemson (iirc) before losing to Blake Griffin and Oklahoma.
Given their recent history?? Fuck where have you been man? The students, faculty and administration doesn't give a FUCK about what happened as long as the get their wins. FUCK PENN STATE
Ok so is that an ad for Atlanta Bread then? What the fuck is Atlanta Bread? Is it like Pandera (sp?) or Wonder? Is this an indoor lacrosse arena in Atlanta? I have so many questions
St Patricks day isn't really a holiday though is it? I've never met anyone who gets the day off work (without requesting a personal day) to go out and drink. It's just a fucking dumb tradition
Not the only one on here jumping to the alcoholic assumption. It's crazy how many people NEVER tied one on in their 20s (I know he shouldn't due to probation but c'mon) and could've blown over the next morning. Who knows maybe he had a little Hair of the dog when he woke up.
I haven't ever attended the michigan-michigan state regular season game at the joe so I can't really comment on that but I fucking love the GLI. I hate joe louis arena (haven't attended anything but GLI/CCHA Championship there in 5+ years) and have for many years. I'm really looking forward to the new arena.
I didn't go. Did you read past the second sentence?? That was a shit game that should've been played at Yost. How would it have been less fun watching on tv if it were to be played on good ice and in one of the best hockey venues in the country.
Yes they are. That game Saturday was a fucking joke. I'm so happy I got scheduled to work so that I didn't make the dumb decision to drive to that fiasco
The winter classic was by far the best sporting event I've ever attended. The weather made for a bit of a crappy game but it was so fucking picturesque in that stadium. I didn't attend UTL but was at UTL2 and it would likely be #2 on my list followed by the NCAA semi finals at Ford Field. I was one of few rooting for UConn that night but was it ever cool to see and hear how loud it got when state went on a run.
Also Better Call Saul has a new episode tomorrow night as well. The show will be Monday nights but premiering after walking dead tonight to draw in that hang around audience.
Well as a youngster (23 years old) I can vaguely remember Yost with very little dancing. I FUCKING love the the dance. I bring friends to the game who couldn't give two fucks about Michigan and they will comment about my connection (just a pure fan never attended) and laugh at me dance. I don't care it's something I LOVE and will continue to do (although I only dance if the team is winning or tied in a well played game, it's hard to get up when losing). And as a football and hockey season ticket holder who makes the 1.5-2 hour drive I love every second of this "ridiculous childish dance".
