I did not play, but I went to probably the best football school in the state of Michigan, Farmington Hills Harrison. Unfortunately, the school closed after the 18-19 school year. They were state champs every year that I attended, though.
Good stuff. Particularly nice write up about Harrison. I graduated from there in ‘02 (did not play football); what a crazy time to go there. A state title every year I was there, and they didn’t lose a game for the last two years. I wish I had appreciated it more at the time. Bummer they are closing.
I’m not 100% convinced that Teske won’t be able to develop a 3 ball that at least keeps defenses somewhat honest. As I recall, he did shoot them in high school.
This team is so much fun to watch that it kind of makes me giddy. They have a nice mix of veteran leaders (Mo, Duncan, MAAR, Matthews) and young, high energy talent. Within that group you have another mix of NBA talent (Matthews, Mo), and good, college talent that has developed and knows the system (Maar, Duncan, Simpson)... if this trajectory continues, this team could be special.
Edit: And not to mention depth. Its been said before, but this is the deepest Beilein team since the Final 4 team, and this team is probably deeper than that team.
Didn't we block 6 or 7 punts/kicks last season? Several of those were game changing. We might not beat Colorado last year without that blocked punt. I say stay agressive.
Did some quick internet sleuthing, and Brown is 1 of 2 Maxpreps First Team All-American dudes (there are 30 of them) not on a D1 scholarship (other is a smallish RB from Utah). 27 of them are power 5. The other 3 first team LBs are Dylan Moses, Anthony Hines III, and Tadarian Moultry; all SEC commits. This might not mean anything, and maybe he just didnt have the measurables... but he is certainly in good company.
Does anyone know if there is mutual interest here? I am not one who thinks XS is a bum by any means, but having a scoring PG who shoots 40% from 3 seems like something that would interest JB. Add in the fact that his dad is a NBA coach, and he seems right up Michigan's alley.

Brian is very very quiet
"Endless hype", huh? Weird. I have mostly heard/read endless criticism and whining about the #3 ranked defense in SP+.
I am really going to miss Moe Wagner and his gifs.

It's weird, usually lawyers aren't so bad at knowing the law.
What is his injury? I just assumed he had a concussion from that cheap shot against Purdue. Sounds like he has a broken bone.
My favorite part about this is that he actually didn't win the Heisman, lol.
Purdue defensive coordinator Nick Holt looks like everyone's mean dad.

That stuff of Murphy's layup was one of the biggest plays of the game.
But what about moxie? Has he got it?
