You're correct, but that was…

You're correct, but that was right after The Game. The S&P rankings have been updated since the CCGs, and Michigan now comes out ahead of Ohio State, albeit still a small gap.

If anything, he's pandering to the Michigan fanbase ranking our team so high relative to OSU.

I dont know of any gun range that allows you to roll in and out with a gun and ammo in your pocket, but apparently others here do.

This "gun range" excuse is…

This "gun range" excuse is silly.

Has anyone here actually gone to a gun range with a gun? All ranges i go to REQUIRE you to have the gun and ammo in a case when entering and leaving. So that other comment about hastily leaving a range with gun and ammo in pocket is a poor attempt at an excuse. If he did go to the range, he would have purposefully taken the gun out of a case before or after the trip to the range, and kept it in his pocket.

Let's stop with these excuses. It was poor judgment. Although going through this court process is awful.

We get it. Projecting QB talent is really hard.

On the other hand, saying "high school rankings have almost no correlation to NFL success" is demonstrably false.

247 had a write up with stats for the 2017 and 2018 drafts.

Here are your chances of being drafted based on your high school star rating:

Five-star (61.6%), Four-star (23.3%), Three-star (5.95%) and two-star (1.25%)

5-stars are 10x more likely to be drafted than 3-stars, and 49x more likely than 2-stars. That's a bit more than "no correlation".

Nope, doesn't appear…

Nope, doesn't appear anywhere else. Sometimes people mis-remember. Happens to everyone.

Harbaugh has his main contract you linked. He's also got the loan agreement with the university.

The 5-year "rolling" contract is for Beilein. Also, it doesn't renew every year and become a new 5-year contract -- anythings possible, but that kind of contract seems nuts. It's a regular 5 year deal that becomes a year-to-year deal until either side terminates the contract.

It's fucking annoying, it's fucking disgusting.

I otherwise love this site, but would stop coming to the page if not for adblock/ublock blocking the banner.

This suggests that the…

This suggests that the overall best strategy is pass-pass-run.

It's true pass-run-run is the best *when you must have three plays*. The most successful one sequence play is pass. IF you fail, on second down, the best option is pass. Then on third down you run.

The best overall sequence is pass-pass-run.

Same.

It's clear that we…

Same.

It's clear that we unable or unwilling to recruit to the level of Alabama/Georgia/OSU and dont have the coaching talent of Clemson.

Harbaugh would be better served in the NFL where theres at least some personnel parity.

Seriously, this is the most…

Seriously, this is the most absurd team ranking. There's not a single subjective (AP/Coaches) or objective (S&P, etc.) ranking system that puts them anywhere near 7.

WTF is the committee thinking/doing? It's not for TV ratings because LSU doesn't have any more ranked games. Also, they're out of the CCG.

Maybe Joel Klatt is right and the committee is protecting Alabama's place in the playoffs. That seems like the only logical reason.

What happened to in-state recruiting this year? Looks like there are several top recruits (including OTs) going everywhere except to Michigan.
