Call me crazy, but I don't think he's a lock for the starting job next year. I think Tate Martell is going to play quite a bit against Michigan since he presents more of a dual threat, and if it works he'll get more playing time in whatever game(s) OSU plays the rest of the season.
I honestly wouldn't be surprised to see Tate start the first series against Michigan just to try to throw Don Brown for a loop.
Not that I wouldn't be thrilled to see him go, just wondering why he's supposedly such a slam-dunk hire. I get the Louisville connection and everything, and obviously he has that flashy win over OSU this year, but outside of that his teams haven't been all that great or consistent.
It might be wise for all of us to do our stress drinking before the game next year when Army comes to Ann Arbor. They are frustratingly effective at what they do, and make no mistake: Jeff Monken is an elite coach who has built a legit program at West Point.
