Finally someone who calls out both Hoke and Dantonio! Dantonio is just a big cry baby and one of the dirtiest coaches around. You take the 'little stake' incident and turn it into a lesson of pure unsportsmanlike conduct at the end of the game. If my opinion of him could get lower, it would. Hoke on the other hand is now seen as a weak, doddling, fool...which would be accurate.
I ran into the coach and the officer as they were back on track to the hotel. He was in a good mood and mentioned he had just been lost after I congratulated him on the game. The cop, I confirmed in talking to him, is not from Milwaukee or Wisconsin. He travels with the coach from Michigan...fully armed I might add. Fun to meet Coach B!
We all do. We care and we are reading this board because we care. Sometimes I wish I didn't because of the pain watching and listening to these inanities. Obviously coaching and excecution sucks!!
Had the pleasure in March of going to just such an event in Milwaukee at Bacchus. Fantastic wine with very different taste between vintages. Woodson was fabulous as host entertaining with stories, pictures and wine. Lots of Packer gear but not enough choice in Michigan stuff! Got the Packer helmet but am jealous of the Winged helmet you got! We love him in Packerland, he's been a hall of famer as a citizen and player.
There are tons of kids out there who can kick better than these guys. Why can't we get them? Who is responsible to recruit them? There was a High School sophmore in the D1 Championship game in WI yesterday who kicked a 42 yarder...let's start talking to him now before UW does!!
Let's keep this to college football...The Packers RULE!!!
I live in Wisconsin since I graduated and the pain of living in a state that adulates a Badger is only relieved by having the Packers be higher in the pecking order.
Unfortunately, I still feel sick. No holding call only a touchdown call. There isn't one guy at fault, they are all playing touch football when they should be mauling the guy across from them...missed opportunities and tackles = painful disappointment.
They were sore, distracted by last weeks big win and shackled by the desire to rest Denard. It worked out in the end despite a go for broke attitude from a FCS team that had nothing to lose and everything to gain.
The emotional connection between the players is key. Tate seems to be on board too and that takes a team over any adversity that might arise. Denard is great and I can't wait to see the RB's getting more involved to give him a bit of a break over the next few games. The big boys on the D-lines in the heart of the big 10 must be already studying tape saying "How did they do that!"!!!!
Way to carry on the tradition! Even if you're alone, there is an army of blue around the globe rooting for the Wolverines. It is fantastic to see that others feel as deeply about Michigan football...I think many of us want to move to Ann Arbor just for the team let alone the school. Keep the spirit alive in Seoul and I'm positive there are other faithful there. When we are back to the glory days, you'll have earned kudos!
Or does it seem like most of these OSU fans probably never went to much past the ninth grade. They must be spending a couple of weeks worth of pay to get to and in the Big House. Just that is touching but to see a 250 lb 5'5" guy doing the hula dance with warpaint on occupying his primo 45 yard line seats is amazing. To think all of it just to see us!
An interesting article from the opposition may be encouraging for the faithful. Here is a clip with a link to the full editorial:
"Just give us time," Rodriguez said.
And that's the scary thing, because sooner or later, with or without Rodriquez, Michigan is going to stir. Just as sure as Fritz Crisler put those wings on the helmets more than 70 years ago so his single-wing passers could distinguish their downfield targets, the Wolverines are eventually going to rise up and reclaim what is theirs by birthright.

Enjoy, and the good days will return...it's inevitable.
I like your reasoning! We can only hope as I don't want to watch more painful games. You mention the loss to Wisconsin in the fall of 1981 after 4 consecutive shutouts. I was at that game in Madison having just graduated and taken a job in Milwaukee in the spring of 1981. I was rather cocky and Badger fans at that time paid more attention to their band than the team...of course the overwhelming darkness that consumed me after that loss seems a long way off but is always just under my skin, especially with another game in Madison coming up. Could we turn the tables on them this time!?!
Yes there is pressure, but the staff should be making better decisions. How can you not go for the points. Had we a field goal, we'd at least be a TD from the W. These are just kids but they come to play and perform for 100000+ and for all of us at home. I'm dying and don't want to see Michigan become the new Northwestern with one off win seasons. Let's make this the program it should be!
Isn't that a sleeping wolverine? As painful as that game was, I wish it was only a nightmare and I'd wake up and we would be four and 0 and on our way to glory...deja vu all over again (please!).
I agree with Maaaze plate. We must improve in conference to say progress is being made. Wins against WI and OSU would go a long way to making a mediocre season seem successful.
The first four points are against the de. They played as well as they are able with the time of possession so overloaded. I was proud that we came back with such a sucky offensive performance for three quarters. Why is there no questioning about going for 2 at the end of regulation? We had momentum and had their defense on their heels. I would rather have seen it end with success on a last attempt in regulation. In any case, I think RR is doing a great job and I'm proud of the team and where they stand after last year!! Go Blue!
The Indiana punter, Chris, is Will's brother. He was in attendance for his official visit on Saturday, also getting to watch his bro in action. Go Blue!
I've been to OSU, ND, NU and UW. OSU is a war zone with pathetic buckeye guerillas everywhere. ND was no problem, NU is pleasant even if it is usually 1/4 empty. UW is loaded with frothing, weasily, drunk vermin who think they are loaded with tradition and not the 'lucky to be playing football w/o skates'stiffs they really are...don't waste your time or risk your maize and blue blood.

All things Michigan in the sales department will suffer if he stays or goes...unless b-ball bails us out again...PLEEEEZZE!!

An eternity against the weasels.
Followed by a brick...
Followed by the hack...
How 'bout some b-ball boys! Shall we switch to Hockey! Much more rosy and fun topic.

Do we and others recruit kickers/punters? Or is that a low/late priority...
Hats off to Brady for making it happen!

Make Iowa pay. Happy Birthday Coach!
"Every discussion I had (with Brady) included talk about Denard"!
Sounds Good!

It's for real? Who are these sources? What is the tail number we should follow on Flightaware.com?

These are good athletes with skills...teach and develop the fundamentals!

Mature with age like a fine wine...he will be an emperor in no time.

Tom H must be crying in his beer when Denard was smoking down the field. The Milwaukee bar I was at was ROCKIN with the Victors. GO BLUE!
He must be crying in his beer about now. Give more pain . Let him feel the power!
ND is HUGER. That should be motivation enough. Let's put Kelly on the hotseat like RR has been on. Turn the tables!
