Coming from the team that…

Coming from the team that literally ducked out of The Game in 2019, that too much class and flu thing is priceless.

Keep chirping, 1 Year Wonders.

Harbaugh “Harbaughed”. That…

Harbaugh “Harbaughed”. That bewildered, aggrieved look that we’ve all grown to love over the years was back on his face throughout the first half.

His team was unprepared and he was outclassed and out coached.

Let ‘er rip.

Georgia neutralized the…

Georgia neutralized the vaunted and frankly wildly overrated pass rushers with quick passes and running right at them, which exposed the mediocre secondary. The Wolverine corners benefited all year from not having to man cover for extended periods.

Both Hutchinson and Ojabo disappeared last night and are now off to paychecks in the NFL. There aren’t 2 like pro prospects waiting patiently in the wings to cover their losses. Their loss is going to expose the LBs and corners next season.

Pretty accurate assessment…

Pretty accurate assessment. It’s one thing to get there. Completely different animal to get there against the elite of college football and beat them. What the Buckeyes, Bama, and, before this year anyway, Clemson have been doing for years aren’t magic tricks.

The Wolverines aren’t currently set up for long term CFP appearances or success. And they start getting NATIONALLY ranked recruiting classes, that isn’t going to change.

Let’s have a heaping helping…

Let’s have a heaping helping of reality here. Michigan got exposed.

The offense got dominated last night. The O line was dominated in the trenches and the skill players were never in a position to make plays. Why? Because they were covered downfield 96% of the time and the Georgia D line and LBs were pressuring McNamara and JJ on EVERY passing down.

The game was pretty much over at 14-0. Harbaugh can’t coach from behind and the O can’t play from behind.

Look, it was a great season. But, it’s over and all things that made it great are going to change. D line? The DEs are going pro. Who’s their replacements? Yeah, I don’t know either. Some 3 stars the Buckeyes or PSU didn’t even recruit? Probably. Did Hutchinson and Ojabo even play last night? I don’t think I heard their names once? Did they opt out?

McNamara is likely headed to the transfer portal like half of QB room did last season. JJ isn’t going to suddenly become Bryce Young, Caleb Williams, or even CJ Stroud. If he was, he would’ve already. Has Harbaugh even shown ANY ability to develop and keep a 2 or 3 year star QB? Nope.

It was a wild ride. Great fun and the Buckeye win sealed a great year. But, it’s over and Wolverine fans better recalibrate their expectations. Wisconsin, Baby Bro MSU, PSU, Iowa, and The Ohio State aren’t going to just sit idly by this off season.

One year wonders. 2022, the B1G returns to normal.

Put Peoples-Jones on a team…

Put Peoples-Jones on a team with an even average QB and he’d light it up.

Put him in the TOSU WR rotation with Haskins last year or Fields this year and his talent would shine. He’s a big fast athlete who hasn’t suddenly forgotten how to play WR. He’s mired in a system that has forgotten how to use big, fast athletes. Granted, there aren’t that many on the roster, but he’s one of the few they do have.

It’s not his fault that he is stranded in Harbaugh’s archaic offense with mediocre QBs throwing the football.

Transfer Portal anyone?

If you want to call someone a bust, start with the Head Coach and then work your way through the QBs.

Scoreboard doesn’t read Penn…

Scoreboard doesn’t read Penn State 28, Bell 21. MICHIGAN lost the game.

TOSU will feast on UM again…

TOSU will feast on UM again with their skill players. Buckeye WRs practice against future highly drafted NFL DBs every day. It’s not stretch to say that maybe ONE of Michigan’s defensive secondary guys would be in the regular rotation at corner or safety at TOSU. They got abused last year. More abuse might be on the way. Abuse named Olave, or Wilson, or Victor.

Talent tells. Michigan has a bunch of “plucky” average Big Ten players who haven’t been developed to their fullest potential. The Buckeyes don’t have that problem.

Oh, and you forgot to mention Justin Fields, who can wreck a defense with his legs by extending plays or just running himself. 6’3”, 225, 4.4.

1-10 against ranked teams isn’t a scheme problem. It’s a talent problem. Or lack thereof.

Not to put too fine a point…

Not to put too fine a point on it, but scoring 21 points when they needed to score 29 is what cost them the game. Especially in a game where the offense had way more plays/snaps than PSU.

But, sure, officiating.

Or, yeah, Bell sucks. (Not the entire offense who couldn’t score with 4 plays inside the 5 yard line.)

Every year it’s the same…

Every year it’s the same complaints.

Replace this coach, hire this guy, recruit these guys, feature these guys and on and one and NEXT year will be a different story.

It’s entirely possible there isn’t enough speed and talent to overtake TOSU for the foreseeable future. UM just doesn’t have the same type athletes as the Buckeyes.

This was allegedly the “best team Harbaugh has had at UM”. The team that reflected what Harbaugh envisioned when he took over. Patterson was the turbo charger for a better offense. The defense the “best in the country”.

Harbaugh’s best team got 62 points and over 500 yards of total offense hung on them. After giving up, what?, 7 TD passes all year, Haskins dropped 5 on them in 1 game?

A serious discussion has to had about the recruiting and development of players at UM. Or the beating will continue.

Here are some hard truths;

Here are some hard truths;

Harbaugh is overrated.

His ability to recruit against TOSU, PSU and MSU has been spotty at best. His inability to run an innovative offense in the college game has been exposed time and again. Even bringing in a 5 star hired gun QB has failed to get the offense firing on all cylinders.

The team has talent at the WR position. But, why they bother to go to UM is a mystery. The offense doesn’t showcase them to any degree.

The running game is manned by RBs who could not start for half the conference.

The defense front 7 is among the best in the conference and country. But, the defensive backfield is wildly overmatched by speedy team. On the downside is overall defensive depth. Harbaugh’s inability to recruit well as left the bench bare of quality back ups. Any injury to a starter and the defense shows a marked drop off.

You are your record. 0-7 during the Meyer regime with no end in sight is what it is.
