Historically, UGA is far from

Historically, UGA is far from a 2nd tier school. However, this is a team that found a way to lose to Vanderbilt and blow a big lead in the final minutes against GA Tech. They also almost lost to Nicholls State on their own home field earlier in the year. Right now it is a 2nd tier program in the SEC.

Is there even a credible Is there even a credible doubt that he isn't? Normally recruits who spend their last OV recruiting for Michigan don't decide to go to Ohio State or FSU 4 days later. The chances of DPJ going anywhere but Michigan are about as good as my chances of eating dinner with Bill Murray tonight.
An OSU fan asked if her

An OSU fan asked if her tweeting was about DPJ and she replied that it was strictly about something her son was up to. Some OSU fans are just trying to look for any shred of evidence that suggests DPJ might decide on OSU. There is basically nothing out there indicating a surprise on Thursday so you can imagine how desperate this fringe group of OSU followers are getting.

I half agree with what you

I half agree with what you are saying. I do think Urban or his assistants point out weaknesses with Michigan and then counter with how their system is better. For example, I don't disagree that in a sit down with Najee Harris, Meyer might point out how Elliott/Carlos Hyde are having NFL success and no Harbaugh back is. Or maybe Meyer might point out to an athlete that his spread can utilize smaller quick players better than Harbaugh's pro scheme. I agree that these type of discussions happen at some point. I don't think Meyer goes into Harbaugh's crazy antics or starts discussing fake NFL rumors. I think he believes that such attacks are too personal and cast a very negative light on what he is selling. I understand that Coke and Pepsi have exchanged barbs over the years, but I don't remember either of them going public and talking about how the other company is run by complete con artists and scum bags. So I agree that Urban will address how his program is better than Michigan, but I disagree on the notion that he just tries to rip Harbaugh a new one in front of recruits/families.

I hear what your saying man.

I hear what you're saying man. I have usually only heard good things about how Bama recruits, but I'm most certainly not going to spend time defending Saban. I'm just not enough of a Bama insider to go there..... I don't think Meyer is pious, but I also don't think he would go out of his way to spread false rumors about Harbaugh. He is a veteran recruiter and knows stuff like that will get spread around and damage his brand. Also, a salesman with a widely accepted elite product doesn't spend all his time ratting on the competition. Dyson doesn't waste all their time talking about how much the Shark brand vacuum sucks (no pun intended). They only talk about the Dyson vacuum in their infomercials because pretty much everyone already believes they are the very best. Saban/Meyer/Harbaugh/Jimbo are like Dyson. They don't need to go all James Franklin on recruits, they have the achievements/rings to back up their pitches. If it comes down to Michigan vs. Ohio State and OSU has a clear advantage in one area then I'm sure Urban will sell that. Yes, in that regard I'm sure Urban does negatively recruit. I just doubt he starts false rumors or spends more than a fraction of his time talking about Harbaugh/Michigan.

Yeah, I highly doubt Urban

Yeah, I highly doubt Urban employed Breer to start a rumor like that. These rumors will cloud Harbaugh every single off season because the NFL will always have huge interest in him. These rumors are started because they bring massive clicks to the people floating the rumors.

Also, these in home visits are scheduled weeks in advance most of the time. I'm sure DPJ was just being a kind human being by letting OSU get their last word in even though he knows he is going to Michigan. No doubt Meyer would love to flip the kid, but he has two excellent wide receivers already committed and doesn't need to take on the risk of getting exposed for conspiring with Breer to start fake rumors. Sounds pretty far fetched when you think about it.

I may wear scarlet colored

I may wear scarlet colored glasses sometimes, but I have never heard of Urban Meyer negatively recruiting. Have always heard the exact opposite from people all across the recruiting spectrum. Why negatively recruit when you  can point to three national championships and a ridiculous record of putting players into the NFL. Harbaugh is a great coach, but with the way Urban is winning/recruiting it doesn't make any sense to resort to negative recruiting. You only resort to negatively recruiting when you haven't actually accomplished anything, but your opponent has. Ex. James Franklin.

Now, we all know that James Franklin for sure negatively recruits. That is no state secret to anyone in the Big Ten. Dantonio I'm not sure about. I'm guess maybe he has to now that Harbaugh is the big name in town..... I don't think Saban negatively recruits, why would he need to? I'm sure the rest of the SEC coaches do though, just to stay in the same universe as Saban.

This will all be squashed in

This will all be squashed in about two hours when Harbaugh tweets that it is a total lie. No story here.

eh, not entirely accurate.

eh, not entirely accurate. I'm sure many have their doubts, but the Cleveland Browns offered him the HC gig two years ago, but he turned it down because he thought he could win another title in 2015. I speculate the Browns will take another run at him in the near future. Not sure why you think he isn't a very good coach.

The DPJ to OSU rumors are

The DPJ to OSU rumors are hilarious. Not a single writer over at 11W actually believes it will happen and they are pretty well connected. It looks like some of these rumors may have started with Jeremy Birmingham who reported a couple sources told him it is between Ohio State and FSU for DPJ. However, in recent tweets Birmingham has indicated even he doubts there is much merit to the DPJ rumors. No way in hell somone considered a Michigan lock decides that a last minute Urban in-home was the the swaying factor.

Also, it is telling that no crystal balls have been rolling in for OSU or FSU. Wiltfong is way more connected than any other analyst and he hasn't changed anything. I would guess there is probably only a 10% chance that DPJ ends up anywhere other than Michigan. It is funny that a small handful of OSU fans are actually now hopeful about DPJ after basically assuming he was a lost cause for months now. Amazing  what a few unsubstantiated interenet rumors can do.

One of the plays you are One of the plays you are referring to one was a flat out tackle no doubt. The other plays were just heavy interference which they are coached to do. What they do is pass interference for sure, but it is the same technique the Seahawks use. Richard Sherman did it to Julio Jones all day long, but the refs won't call it. The point is to grab the receivers back elbow area (the side the refs aren't paying attention to) and pull it to prevent the catch. It is pass interference, but in real time it often doesn't come off as blatant enough. The slow motion replays usually tell another story. Anyways, teams have been complaining about OSU interfereing all year, but I doubt they will change their approach until the refs decide to call it. Same goes for the Seahawks.
This is a significant blow This is a significant blow for OSU. They will replace Fickell with someone competent, but he was an awesome linebackers coach. Great at developing disciplined players and leaders. Has developed great linebackers like Ryan Shazier, Darron Lee, and Raekwon McMillan. Great recruiter as well which hurts. The guy has been incredibley valuable for us, but I'm not sure it is going to work out at UC. He is a great individual but not really an Xs and Os type of guy. Greg Schiano is more responsible for D play calling and scheme. Fickell was dealt a difficult hand when he was interim, but the team still under performed at the end of the day. Both units were weak, but the offense was a disaster. Fickell is going to need to hire a real gem as O Coordinator if he hopes to last. Hope it works out for him, but I think there were better candidates.
If Michigan wins it will be

If Michigan wins it will be considered an upset, but it really shouldn't be. Michigan has clearly been the better team most of the year. Michigan has a much more veteran roster and Ohio State is still making rookie mistakes every week. It baffles me that Ohio State is favored this week. Ohio State still can't pass beyond 10 yards and their interior D-line has been consistently pushed around by good teams. Any pudits that think OSU is a top 4 team don't know how challenged they are on offense when they play an average or better team. Vegas has overestimated the abilities of this OSU squad all year. The line should be even.

Not buying us being scary Not buying us being scary yet. Nebraska just came out flat after last weeks heartbreaker. The OSU offense still has huge flaws all over the place. The biggest one being that they still can't run the ball well in the trenches. Weber is solid but the O-line doesn't get to the next level. Don't lose any sleep over tonight's anomaly performance. We aren't a good team yet.
Disagree on Riley. He has Disagree on Riley. He has over achieved this year given the mediocre talent that Pelini left.Riley is recruiting well and their talent will get better. Tim Beck set them back light years on offense when he was there and now he is OSU's problem unfortunately. Give Riley more time.
Speight might honestly be the Speight might honestly be the best QB in the Big Ten which is really sad for the conferences potential to produce a quality future NFL QB. No good passers anywhere. Note: Shredding lowly Maryland doesn't do much for me. Thorson from NW looks OK I guess. Kid from Wisky is raw, but maybe has some potential. I don't know, I don't see any future NFL quarterbacks in this conference.
I'm honestly shocked so many

I'm honestly shocked so many of yall are picking Ohio State with any confidence at all. I'm not. Chances are pretty good this entire game is going to be played in a rainstorm. Sloppy conditions are extremely dangerous for an offense that relies on the read option and lots of pitches/pop passes. If it does rain expect an OSU offense that looks like the one we ran out against MSU last year. Rain completely elimates Ohio State's greatest offensive advantage: Curtis Samuel in the passing game. An Ohio State offense that has to run into an 8 man box fifty times isn't going to score many points. Wisconsin won't score much either, but they would love for this to be a plodding game that is tied 7-7 going into the last quarter. Both teams have to play in the rain, but I think rain is more of a detriment to the team with the better passing game. It's hard for me to see Ohio State scoring more than 20 points on the road, in a storm, against a great defense. I would predict a score of 10-9 OSU. If the rain holds off though I will confidently pick Ohio State to win this game 34-10.

Hate that I'm so late to such

Hate that I'm so late to such an awesome discussion. My take is this: If the game was played tomorrow I would pick Michigan without a second thought. Ohio State's inexperience really showed on Saturday with a couple horrible blown coverages and a turnover that you usally only see in pee wee football. Ohio State also continues to suffer from stupid penalties as they continue to be one of the most penalized teams in the country. These things all show a ton of inexperience. Inexperience that will cost them at least one game before they play Michigan.

The question is how much will Ohio State improve over the next 6 games. The 2014 team went from clowns at the start of the year to playing like All-Americans at the end. The talent is sky high on our roster, but will young guys like Nick Bosa and Mike Weber improve dramatically as the year goes on? Michigan has so many veteran leaders and OSU is loaded with first year starters. Huge advantage Michigan on experience. Could be the difference in a game where overall talent levels are very similar.

Haha, well said. I completely

Haha, well said. I completely agree with Harbaugh pulling a quick one. One more reason I wouldn't agree to an alley fight with Harbaugh. You know he would have the brass knuckles.

This is a funny scenario to

This is a funny scenario to consider. Harbaugh absolutely gets massive points for being a professional athlete at the highest level. However, Michigan fans shouldn't assume that Meyer was a slouch athlete back in the day. He played defensive back at Cincinnati, but it was on the diamond where he excelled. He was selected by the Atlanta Braves in the 1982 MLB draft. He obviously never made it to the bigs, but obviously he had some athleticism being a two sport athlete and being drafted. Still, Harbaugh gets the edge on athleticism for making it to the big time........Ultimately, I think the winner of the fight may depend on the rules. If it is an alley fight with no rules then Harbaugh easily wins because I think he would gouge eyes, eat ears, or do just about anything to inflict maximum damage on his opponent. Edge Harbaugh because I think he could kill or severely wound Urban and sleep like a puppy the same night. Now when it comes to a civilized boxing match I'm not sure who would win. Harbaugh has a little more reach, but Urban isn't short and is probably in similar shape as Harbaugh. I think Urban would employ a wiser strategy in the ring and let Harbaugh go wild early and lose his stamina. I pick Urban in this silly scenario. Also, I wish we could throw Kirk Ferentz and Dino into the fight to make it more interesting.

If Harbaugh had been hired a

If Harbaugh had been hired a year earlier I think Weber would be at Michigan right now. Weber's heart has always been in Detroit and I think he truly wanted to stay home. Once Hoke was fired I think Weber felt uncertain. Weber looked at OSU and saw Zeke Elliott essentially punching his 1st round NFL ticket as he ran through the playoffs. OSU was stable and I think Weber sort of decided to make a business decision and go to OSU despite his heart not entirely being in it. I think this mindset showed itself when Weber basically committed to Michigan the night before signing day before changing course once Higdon committed. I'm happy we have Weber, but I still believe Michigan was where he always wanted to go.

I pretty much only comment on

I pretty much only comment on OSU related posts here. Plenty of UM fans do the same on 11W and they are not considered trolls. I'm not on here trolling all the other threads and trying to trash Harbaugh or make Urban sound amazing. If people make questionable comments about OSU players then I will try and offer a different perspective. People can knock Bosa or whoever they want for being a meathead, but don't act as though both sides don't have knuckleheads was my point.

Apologies, I type fast and

Apologies, I type fast and don't proofread like I should. Fortunately, this is a message board and not my dissertation. Still, I appreciate the correction.

Thank you for coming to the

Thank you for coming to the logical conclusion given the facts we have at the moment. It is extremely telling that the police not only made no arrests, but also reported no brusing except that the girl alleged a sore wrist. If the police had even a suspicion that the story was true they would have arrested Zeke on the spot. At this point all the girl has is some photos from some point in time (could have been taken a year ago) where she has visible bruising. Again, also telling that she posts all this on Zeke's 21st birthday and right after the police determine that there is no reason for any arrest. Still need more facts, but right now it looks like she was panning for some money and went public when nothing went her way.

Well, when the police came to

Well, when the police came to the scene they only reported that she claimed to have pain and a red spot on her wrist. That's it. And now reports have surfaced claiming that Zeke has text messages from the woman proving extortion. And regarding the pictures on her instagram, did you actually see her whole instagram before she made it private earlier today? If you did then I'm shocked that you don't at least have some serious doubt regarding her credability.

Ha, I sure as hell hope not.

Ha, I sure as hell hope not. Nope, just two Michigan players who were actually arrested for assault. The guys mentioned above have never actually been arrested for anything, ever. Except for Hyde and he was never charged.

See Clark, Frank and Lewan,

See Clark, Frank and Lewan, Taylor.

Please show me a link to

Please show me a link to where Hyde was charged with beating a woman. Only evidence is a shoddy video where a woman attempts to strike Hyde and it looks like maybe he attempts to slap her in response as he walks away. Even if a woman is striking you, you still should never even attempt any sort of slap. No excuse for Hyde, but that is a far cry from "beating" a woman.

Would encourage everyone to

Would encourage everyone to read the full story. There were four witnesses and None of them reported seeing any abuse to police. Just a coincidence I suppose that she comes out and claims all this on her now multi-millionaire ex boyfriend's 21st birthday. Maybe it is a coincidence, I dont know. IF any of this is true, Zeke should pay the price. He should be behind bars if it turns out any of this is true.

I'm not saying Zeke is innocent, but this type of extortion does happen all the time to athletes right after they get paid. People need to be objective and realize that these young athletes are often preyed upon by all sorts of people once they get paid. Preyed on by family members, friends, agents, wealth managers, and ex spouses or girlfriends. Everyone wants a piece of the pie. Now obviously we need to wait until all the facts come out. Who knows what the actual truth is. Domestic abuse is serious and any allegations need to get examined. Any yes I'm slightly biased since Zeke comes from an amazingly disciplined family and had a perfect record of behavior at OSU. Perfect behavior, work ethic, discipline, you name it. That being said, we see domestic abuse from people with perfect records all the time. All we know right now is the report that witnesses are denying the story and Zeke has Not been arrested.

Harbaugh has created a

Harbaugh has created a tornado, but will he end up like Jonas or Bill from Twister? Harbaugh has gone out of his way to create as much hype for Michigan as humanly possible, but will Michigan suffer from ridiculously high expectations? Meyer on the other hand tends to take the under the radar approach, but even he couldn't stop the hype last year. All the media hype for Ohio State being #1 last offseason was intolerable. 19 year old kids started to feel entitled and began to sleep walk through games until MSU woke them up. I know its fun, but be wary of the media hype tornado you are creating. As soon as these 19 year old kids start buying into it you are screwed.

Not much. Carlos Hyde got

Not much. Carlos Hyde got suspended multiple games just because he got into an argument with a girl at a bar. He didn't lay a finger on the girl or get charged with anything. There is simply  a strict policy at OSU on how players should treat women. Dunn was reportedly suspended for an altercation he had with his girlfriend. Best to have a strict policy on these type of things. Nobody wants to see what happened at Baylor repeated.

A lof of assumptions have

A lof of assumptions have been taken here to condemn Schiano and Bradley.

1. Assumption that McQueary is telling the truth. Perhaps he is but nobody would deny that he has major beef with PSU. He has been on a mission to trash PSU as much as possible to help himself sleep at night for his own crimes. He is fortunate to not be behind bars right now, but this guy is a source we all put our trust in?

2. Assumption that Bradley was telling the truth if the conversation that McQueary alleges  actually happened. Now, why would a prima donna coach (bradley) speak false gossip about another prima donna coach (Schiano)? Maybe because Bradley hated his prickly co-worker Schiano (I would and so did everyone on the Tampa Bucs). Maybe because Bradley wanted to make himself look more informed in front of McQueary. Maybe Bradley is just a dick. Who knows. We all know idiots at work that gossip or trash us behind our back.

At the end of the day a lot of people will have killed Schiano's reputation because of this line of reasoning:  " Mike McQueary said that Tom Bradley said that Greg Schiano said he saw abuse in the early 1990's." Yep, that is overwhelming evidence. And since Larry Johnson was there for the last three years of Sandusky's tenure, lets go ahead and indict him too. I'll be the first to condemn Schiano if more evidence suggests he saw abuse. What happened at PSU was a tragedy and they deserved the death penalty from the NCAA. But we shouldn't condemn anyone because some proven scumbag (McQueary) alleges something. Hopefully we learn more and Schiano is either cleared or wrecked if it is proven that he saw something and didn't immediately go to the police. I doubt anyone here actually wants the facts though since some are still spinning a story that Urban Meyer had an affair with some coed. A story so revealing  that every newspaper and reporter in the country decided that it wasn't worth pursuing. Writers must not want clicks anymore. Weird.

Not really a fair comparison.

Not really a fair comparison. When Saban took over at LSU they were an absolute shit show the previous years. When Saban took over at Bama that school had been absolutely irrelevant for years. Neither school was loaded with football talent. Saban had to stock the pond at both schools and develop a culture of winning. Safe to say he absolutely succeeded at the highest levels possible. Both schools won titles and became mini NFL training camps. Harbaugh has achieved a great deal, but still no titles to his name regardless of what lens you look at him through. We really need to see him acquire some hardware before we consider him the greatest coach in college football. Also, I would like to see a comparison of Meyer's first 10 years coaching to Harbaughs. I think that would be a more interesting analysis.

How has Saban cheated? I hate

How has Saban cheated? I hate Saban more than anyone on the planet, but while at Bama he hasn't a big scandal or major sanctions. You can knock on him for dishonesty in recruiting, but Harbaugh is in that same boat with unloading players just weeks before signing day to pursue more highly rated recruits. Then of course we can debate till we are blue in the face about all the hiring of recruits parents. Harbaugh did nothing wrong in any of this, but I'm sure fans down south would consider it cheating. At the end of the day, neither Harbaugh or Saban are cheaters. They are just willing to push the rules as much as possible to gain an advantage. Meyer does it too. The stuff going on at Ole Miss is actual cheating.

ehhhh, yes and no. I knew 11W

ehhhh, yes and no. I knew 11W would be tough on Harbaugh, but they went a little overboard. I didn't expect 3 seperate threads on the issue. After all, it was just an afternoon radio interview. Not a huge deal. For Mgoblog, I expected a more mixed reaction. I expected most to support Harbaugh (which they did) but I also expected some Michigan fans to be realistic and admit that Harbaugh was a complete disaster on the show. I did not expect Michigan fans to honestly believe that Harbaugh tanked on purpose to screw Cowherd. But fans on both sides wear the blinders so I guess I shouldn't be surprised at this.

Enjoy harabaughs antics, but

Enjoy harabaughs antics, but the best part of this has been the two very different reactions from Mgoblog and 11W. Its like switchwing between Fox News and MSNBC. 11W Reaction:http://www.elevenwarriors.com/college-football/2015/07/55358/jim-harbaugh-just-hilariously-bombed-an-interview-on-colin-cowherds-radio-show#comment-1555213

"That wasn't bad at

"That wasn't bad at all."

LOL. I respect Harbaugh, but your killing me. Dear god what is this world coming to. This just proves that some people will believe anything. Did you also donate $1,000 to the Nigerian prince who is trying to access his family fortune?

You are definitely wearing

You are definitely wearing blinders. Not great questions by any stretch, but some of them were pretty open ended. Like the question about how the NFL is different from college. All Harbaugh could say is how they are more similar than different with no specifics. Now, we all undersand that this is just Harbaugh being Harbaugh. He is an awkward person with a little bit of a crazy streak. Everyone accepts this and knows this. Michigan knew that when they hired him. He is a great football coach and his coaching abilities far outweigh his odd personality. Nobody denies he is a great football coach, but when you listen to an interview like that you have to be objective and say it was a disaster. Colin may be a jerk, but Harbaugh was literally an empty suit and left Colin with no other choice. It was a horrible interview for Harbaugh but will have zero impact on recruits. Only consequence will be that other ESPN radio personalities will be hesistant to put Harbaugh on. Which may be a good decision for both parties involved.

He doesn't get a ton from

He doesn't get a ton from those states but look at the players that he has. 2014 Five Star Raekwon Mcmillan, who will start at MLB was from GA. Starting safety Vonn Bell was a 2013 recruit from GA. Torrance Gibson (5 stars), Johnnie Dixon (4 stars), Jamel Dean (4) were all from FL. In 2013 he went down south and snagged a guy from MO named Zeke Elliott, a guy from FL named Joey Bosa, and some QB scrub named J.T. Barrett from TX. It is true that Ohio State feeds off of Ohio HS players, but Ohio State's elite players from this years squad came from out of state.

Well played!! Love it!

Well played!! Love it!

Haha. To think Wilcher is

Haha. To think Wilcher is going to do anything to Ohio State recruiting power is funny! Sure, Wilcher might hurt OSU recruiting in Michigan but that is about it. Meyer just won a national title with a 3rd string QB. He can cherry pick recruits from any HS in GA, FL or TX he wants. He doesn't need to go to Michigan for recruits other than to keep them from going to Michigan. Ultimately the play on the field will always  determine recruiting power. And last time I checked Ohio State was pretty good on the gridiron. And I think most FL fans don't regret Meyer. Sure he had his whole health collapse and became a shell of his former self, but he did bring them 2 titles. How did Muschamp do there?

Absolutely true! A lof fires

Absolutely true! A lof fires were going the night of our championship win and no doubt that was bad for the whole green movement. We need a guy like Brady Hoke to come in and make sure those celebratory fires never happen again. Is he available??

Just want Weber gone. Not

Just want Weber gone. Not worried about disintegration of Cass Tech relationship. It has been well known that Wilcher doesn't care much for his players leaving for Ohio State. He probably was even harder on Weber considering Wilcher was teammates with Harbaugh. Even if the Weber debacle doesn't happen I think Wilcher would have still made sure this whole Cass Tech pipeline thing is over for the future. The only thing that could even remotely change this is if Damon Webb and Weber both go on to be superstars. I don't anticipate either of these things happening though. Damon Webb looks good, but Weber looks to be the next Brionte Dunn.

Please Please Please take

Please Please Please take Weber from Ohio State!!!! We will throw in Torrance Gibson to make it more enticing! I don't normally root for Michigan to take our recruits but I will make an exception on this one. #3 on your list sounds 100% accurate and we don't need that type of guy polluting our locker room! What will it take to convince Harbaugh to let this kid back in if Meyer cuts him loose?

Hopefully Weber announces he

Hopefully Weber announces he is trying to get released from his LOI from Ohio State. All the buckeye fans I have talked to are praying he doesn't end up here. He has had a very entitled attitude and has even had the audacity to proclaim he is 3 years and done. Yet he is too afraid to commit to a class in which there is more than 1 RB? I get that he is pissed about Drayton, but I pray he didn't base his entire decision on one positional coach being there his entire stay. If Drayton didn't leave this year he would probably leave after the next. Its not like he committed and then Urban Meyer and half his staff took a job with the Cleveland Browns. Meyer needs to release Weber immediately and sent him to Michigan. He is not a culture fit at Ohio State.

That mentality is very

That mentality is very dangerous, but it seems to be what Weber thinks. He has even proclaimed he is on a 3 year plan. That is a very bad approach for any kid. Most kids on the Ohio State roster wont make it to the NFL, and those that do will be lucky to make it more than 3 years in the league. Sure you will get a few kids who go on to have a 10 year career in the NFL, but those kids are an outlier. Most will end up in the workplace. These kids need to consider degree programs and life after football. Mike Weber's three year NFL plan probably isn't going to happen. He has great running backs ahead of him and more talented backs coming in behind him. And then you always have the injury issue as well. Mike Weber needs to drop all this NFL talk and focus on getting a first rate education (for free). His positional coach has nothing to do with his academic success which is what he will probably need most unless he is the rare outlier that makes it to the NFL.

Agreed. Michigan got a guy

Agreed. Michigan got a guy who could have stuck with Iowa and probably played right off the bat. Instead he went and joined a crowded backfield where it will be a slugfest. I respect that attitude. Can't say the same for Weber. If Weber brings an entitled attitude with him to Ohio State he is going to get spit out when Curtis Samuel and other hard workers at RB take it to him.

Thanks man. I'm in enemy

Thanks man. I'm in enemy territory so I appreciate the endorsement.

Need more transparency but it is hard

I agree there needs to be more transparency. It is just very hard when coaches are constantly leaving for other jobs. Drayton will not be the last of college assistants bolting for the NFL after signing day this year. Several NFL staffs are still being put together and they are going to be hiring some top college assistants. This fraudulent inducement lawsuit would set a very dangerous precedent. Every year there could be dozens of these type of lawsuits. But the truth is that the agreement is between the recruit and the school. The school agrees to provide 4 years of tuition/boarding if the recruit agrees to participate in the football program. Every year recuirts are promised early playing time, no position change, and all sorts of things. Many of these things never come to fruition. Should a college WR that was told he could play QB as a recruit file a lawsuit when the staff tells him he won't be behind center? These are difficult questions to consider. The Weber situation is just a microcosm of the problem that is college football recruiting. It is a dirty practice and we haven't even starting talking about all the sexual assault transfers that Auburn recruits every year.

Wish Weber had signed with Michigan

I agree that this situation completely sucks for Weber and looks bad for OSU. Weber should have known that his future position coach was interviewing for Bears job the next day. He has a right to be upset. That being said, I really wish he had signed with Michigan. After his press conference he told reporters that he choose OSU because he would be able to do 3 years and then jump to the NFL. He told reporters that Zeke Elliott had assured him that 2015 would be his last for Ohio State. So basically he is saying that he choose Ohio State because little competition on the depth chart will give him an easier shot  to achieve his goal of 3 years and gone. He also said Michigan getting that kid from FL was the tipping point because he wanted to he tbe only RB in your class.

First, I don't want any kid that is afraid of having to fight for playing time. Second, playing for Ohio State (or Michigan) is about representing the university/team while getting a first rate college education.  Leaving early for the NFL is great, but only a select few get to do that and those that do had to work their ass off. Most kids will graduate and go into the workplace like the rest of us.... I'm sick of kids announcing on twitter that they have committed to their university for the next 3 years. That is so presumptious and should honestly offend the other kids on the depth chart who are working their ass off just to get a shot. Right now Mike Weber only seems to be about Mike Weber. What happened to Mike isn't fair, but he should have committed to Ohio State for more than just a RB coach or his 3 year NFL plan. Same thing with the Michigan situation. He shouldn't have dismissed Michigan because they got another RB in the class. Steel sharpens steel.  Harbaugh is going to play the most deserving players who put team first. I hate Michigan, but I know Michigan is composed of a brotherhood of players who relish competition and appreciate the fine tradition. Harbaugh, like Meyer, doesn't want a bunch of players who are only thinking about how every situation that happens influences their NFL chances. If Weber  wants out I hope Urban gives him the opportunity to tear up his LOI and sign with Michigan.
