Harbaugh: Three enemy coaches are "Jive Turkeys"

"I'm not leaving Michigan," Harbaugh said Tuesday while speaking at a Michigan function, via the Detroit Free Press. "Not even considering it. A lot of this talk is coming from our enemies, from coaches, you know the names. You probably know the names of the top three I'm referring to. They like to say that to the media. They like to tell that to the recruits, to their families, try to manipulate them into going to some other school besides Michigan.

It's not immediately clear to me who the jive turkeys are. My guesses are Saban, Meyer, and maybe Swinney because of Rashan Gary's recriutment. Dantonio would seem to be a candidate but Mighigan hasn't really had many high profile head-to-head recruiting battles since Harbaugh arrived.

Speculate away.

Sam says he thinks if it Dantonio - it's all out of desperation. After losing out on Ambry Thomas and about to lose out Deron Irving-Bey, Sam suspects desperation may have come into play.

Personally for me it's Urbz #1. An OSU grad leaks this out and, also Sam hit on when Urbz, tried to tell Stonum that Lloyd wanted Stonum at Florida instead of Michigan.

The dude called a fake field goal with one second left in the half were the kicker needed to out run everyone 40 yards to the endzone. If there is one play that is a bigger display of a coach sliding into irrelevancy I'd like to see it.

The good news is by doing it this way (not naming names) EVERYBODY who's doing it has been put on blast and will think it's them he's referring to.  And any recruit who reads this would hopefully be very skeptical about what he's being told (if it's negative) cause they're going to think it's one of the three as well.  My guess is there's a lot more than three negatively recruiting against Michigan right now.  A LOT more.

Whether you like it or not MSU has been a major player in the recruitment of many of our commits and targets this year. DPJ, Thomas, DIB, Corey Malone Hatcher, Jalen Kelly-Powell...Most of the players we have been after. especially in-state, have had MSU in their sights as well. Of course Mork would be doing this. He'd be doing it even if we weren't going head to head for recruits.

Ole grumpy dantiono seems very petty, particularly when it comes to Michigan. So he could just be saying it just to try to hurt Michigan even if they don't have a shot. Although,harbaugh could also may not just be talking about this from a recent perspective. It very well could be a recurring thing he has heard recruits day other coaches have said from day one. If the latter is the case, grumpy is most likely one of them.

I would guess Meyer and Franklin are Jive Turkeys #1 and #2.  The race for the 3rd Jive Turkey would then be between Dantonio (staying in conference), Brian Kelly, Dabo, Freeze and Saban.  Saban seems the least likely one to me, as he doesn't really need to negativly recruit.  He can sell Alabama on it's own.  The other guys all have been in multiple head to head battles with Harbaugh for recruits.

Except that Saban's assistants have already been negatively recruiting Michigan.  It was a couple of months ago that one of them was talking to someone (Harris, I think) about Michigan having not played anyone becuase the B1G isn't as good as the SEC.  SO yeah, Saban has been - and most likely will continue - negatively recruiting Michigan.  Everyone will...

Really OP? You think Michigan-MSU haven't had many high profile head-to-head recruiting battles the past two years? You might want to check again. There's at least 7 or 8 I could name right now without really looking into it. Especially if your alternative is Swinney because of one player last year.....
