Intriguingly, in trying to

Intriguingly, in trying to deride a Spartan's command of grammar and spelling, you were tremendously incorrect. Not only is "waver" correct, but "waiver" isn't even a verb.

And the cherry on top - the use of "your" instead of "you're". Delicious! The only thing more fantastic than your intelligence (or lack thereof) is your serene confidence in your intellectual superiority. The Michigan Difference, I suppose.

Another February Recruiting Championship to add to the trophy case, right next to the three consecutive September Heismans and two May Media Hype Championship plaques.

"Jim Harbaugh didn't rescind

"Jim Harbaugh didn't rescind anyone's offer because he found someone better. He did it because they didn't continue to meet the expectations that were given to the student athelete when the offer was presented. "

Is this actually the consensus opinion down here in the bunker? Good heavens.

I heard he didn't have the

I heard he didn't have the academic chops to get into Michigan.

This is phenomenal.

This is phenomenal.

I'm getting dizzy from all

I'm getting dizzy from all the spin. Gotta get off the delusion carousel.

No one lives vicariously

No one lives vicariously through other teams like a Regular Michigan fan. My, how times have changed.

In the wake of this season,

In the wake of this season, claiming that Michigan has closed the gap with OSU is like a Michigan State fan leaving the Alabama game and proudly declaring that the gap between MSU and Alabama has officially closed.

Then again, delusion is not the fuel that keeps the Michigan State fan going through life. The same cannot be said for the average UM fan.

Another former 5 Star

Another former 5 Star All-World Savior shown the door by St. Jimbo. The Michigan Difference?

Yeah, 3rd place in the B1G

Yeah, 3rd place in the B1G East is striking fear into the hearts of those who have dominated you for nearly a decade (and more, in OSU's case). Look out, Meyer! Next year we'll be within 20 points, easy!

A fanbase that lauds Bo

A fanbase that lauds Bo Schembechler deriding MSU for dominating a "down" Big Ten would be astonishingly hypocritical from most people, but coming from mgoblog, it's downgraded to "par for course" hypocritical.

It really is

I love wandering over here to marvel at the rampant groupthink and delusion. It's a sight to behold. How you can parrot the same thing for nearly ten years in the face of such a mountain of evidence to the contrary, and still genuinely believe it, beggars the imagination. It's like Jehovah's Witnesses believing that the world will end every weekend, and every time it doesn't, they just effortlessly shift that confidence to the next weekend.

Someone could write a wonderful psychology book on the cognitive dissonance of mgoblog. Tater could be case study number one.

To be fair

You could also use points scored as the indicator of who the better team is, which is a broadly accepted metric.

As for Michigan being arrogant...well, just look at this thread. Third place in the B1G East is considered a guarantee that Harbaugh will win a national championship. Losing to your rivals is a guarantee that you will beat them in the future. Losing at home to a Michigan State team starting two true freshmen at safety, down three starting offensive linemen, a starting linebacker, and a starting CB is somehow being spun as "punching them in the mouth". It's not necessarily arrogance, but it is the intriguing mixture of arrogance and delusion that has sustained Michigan fans through every offseason for the past decade.

Recruits don't need money to

Recruits don't need money to realize that MSU has a better program than UM. Though the bitter irony of those who still celebrate the so-called "Fab Five" taking the high road on recruiting ethics is apparently lost in this thread.

?

I'm just trying to enjoy the golden age of UM sports here. We're beating the snot out of Sparty in recruiting AND secondary ticket market sale prices! Plus, Lil Bro has a way to go before catching up with these heroes of the gridiron! Who could forget their thrilling championships?
!

Hah!

Michigan State's Sports Illustrated cover for entrance into the College Football Playoff while their basketball team is #1 had a spelling error!

Great time to be a Michigan Wolverine, am I right? Anyone know any graveyards I can creep through in the dead of night to smash some nuts on headstones?

Oops!

That's not right!

Yeah, what kind of a douche

Would do something like that? Good thing we Michigan Men exhibit nothing but pure class and graciousness.

Really shows the Michigan Difference. As does the creeping realization that a thread about an MSU QB accepting a post-game award too quickly is closing in on the post count of the thread about UM's bowl game placement.

I guess they'll just have to

I guess they'll just have to content themselves with winning the football games. Must be tough.

Good point. Good coaches

Good point. Good coaches never whine.

You may be thinking of April

You may be thinking of April Final Fours - as in, 8 months ago? Or did you stop watching basketball after the Wolverines boldly blazed a postseason trail all the way to the quarterfinals of the Big Ten Tournament? Talk about "getting the job done" - you were done before almost everyone else in the country!

But going back to football, let's face it: you lost at home to a team missing 3 starters in the secondary, 3 starting offensive linemen, a starting linebacker, and a starting defensive tackle. Would UM even get to .500 under such circumstances? Jimbo is probably packing his bags already - if he can't beat Coach Dantonio under such favorable conditions, how's he going to fare next year?

How many times do you think

How many times do you think Michigan State will have 9/22 starters injured, playing UM on the road? How many times will the officials grant a phantom touchdown, in which they began pulling MSU players off the pile before blowing the whistle? This was UM's best shot for the foreseeable future.

It's intriguing to see that, even in the wake of another loss, your seventh in the past eight, you still confidently predict Michigan's return to absolute dominance and MSU's slide into irrelevance. I believe that the status quo will be maintained until the UM program, collectively, is able to reject the "Little Brother" mindset and rid themselves of the delusion and entitlement permeating the football team. However, since these things are the definining characteristics of a UM identity, I'm not sure that will ever happen. Effectively, your collective delusional belief in your innate superiority is what's holding you back from achieving that superiority. Your fanbase reminds one of the late Roman Empire - a crumbling ruin, held aloft only by a few arrogant consuls based in Ravenna while Rome itself is sacked repeatedly by the barbarians still routinely denigrated by Roman elites.

Why is offering an alternate

Why is offering an alternate viewpoint considered trolling? I admit calling it "delusion" may be considered offensive, but other than that, I've said precious little that would be considered trolling. But what else could I really term it, when you consistently rationalize another top 10 victory by saying they weren't really that good, MSU is flawed, UM is going to roll Sparty, etc. I mean, there were actually people opining about how Utah is better than Oregon. That, to me, is a sign of insecurity.

But why would viewing another team's blog be considered insecure? I look at EDSBS, OTE, BHGP, TOC, and 11W, among other college sports blogs. So far, mgoblog is the only one so insular, so beset by rampant groupthink, that it claims an alternative viewpoint - one supported by facts and statistics rather than hope, no less - is trolling.

Alternatively, you could say

Alternatively, you could say Oregon got lucky to be in that situation, as we were missing our starting LB, CB, and OT.  Indeed, you can play this game all day, with any game. Football turns on plays you could call "lucky". I believe Oregon State snapped a ball ten feet over their punter's head, did they not? Are you marking that down to Harbaugh's amazing coaching, or luck?

It just makes your fanbase look incredibly insecure when you desperately try to denigrate everything MSU has accomplished over the past decade or so. Why is acknowledging reality so difficult? There's only so much you can chalk up to luck before it begins to stretch the bounds of credibility. MSU is, what, 6-1 against the top 10 in the past couple years? Yet you've managed to create a world for yourself in which those 6 were dreadfully overrated, MSU is just lucky, and soon everything will return to 1974, because your fragile psyche won't allow for a good instate program to compete with UM.

"Poor Oregon team".

"Poor Oregon team". "Luckily".

How do you guys collectively manage to rebuild your mass delusion after having it brutally crushed every year?

Then why cite those wins

Then why cite those wins against a small agricultural college in the late 19th century when you lose a game in 2014?

If you agree to play the next

If you agree to play the next 38 games in EL, I will concede afterward that the all-time record is a fair measure. I think that's exceedingly generous too, considering Michigan fans are among the only people left on Earth who brag about events in the 19th century with any degree of seriousness.

Interesting fact: through

Interesting fact: through 1957, UM played MSU in Ann Arbor 44 times, and in EL only 6. So until there are 38 games in a row ripped off in EL, there's not much to complain about regarding location.

Considering MSU has won 5 out

Considering MSU has won 5 out of the last 6 of their games against top 10 teams, how much smoke is really necessary to convey that impression?

Oops!

That's not right! In addition to losing his scholarship and being 4th on the depth chart at RB, Delton Williams actually didn't play in the Western game.
