MSU Safety Mark Meyers suspended after arrest.

Submitted by BlueCube on

Something MSU didn't need heading into Oregon is to lose defensive backfield depth. Mark Meyer was arrested for driving under the influence. Link

He was credited with 2 tackles against WMU.

I saw this article and had a similar thought about how MSU's secondary is going to look against Oregon, and yet I went to check the spread analysis which Team Rankings puts out and prliminarily they are going with Oregon +3.5 as their ATS Pick. I have to think they'll run it again later in the week and it might change. Massey has this one as a slight MSU lean (55%, but of course this is based mostly on last year's numbers still).

Eh, this happens everywhere and I am sure there will be some legal consequences to go with whatever Groucho decides to do. Not going to get too excited whatever Dantonio's disciplinary response to this is.

I still expect MSU to win, and potentially win big. Oregon's defense looked bad against EWU, and this game is in East Lansing. I sincerely doubt Vernon Adams is going to be the second coming of Russell Wilson like what many Oregon fans are dubbing him as. Oregon will put up some points, but something tells me that the MSU defense will make life difficult for Adams next week.

He's a nobody who played because it was WMU.  Montae Nicholson (sigh) and RJ Williamson are the starters and will be out there the entire game barring injury.  This would be like Dymonte Thomas being out for us.  If it was a backup corner it would mean more as MSU will need more corners to run with the fleet wide receivers.

As someone else said Oregon's D looked like complete garbage vs a FCS team.   This one might get into the 50s.
