I'm glad they're at least getting rid of the bubble-like oval on the roof, but I'd like to see less exposed aluminum on the roof. Not sure what the alternatives could be though.
The pregame was on ESPN News, and I'm pretty sure Rinaldi's piece was shown on College Gameday. Still stupid that they can't cut away from garbage time though.
Back in 2007, I think I got there around 8am, it took a half hour to get in and I was 15' from the front. Granted that was in a contained parking lot just north of the Big House, so there will be much more room up at Ingalls this year.
Also, I wouldn't take any food or water with you even if it's sealed since they took my breakfast from me that year.
That'll probably top Louie's buzzer beater to beat ND a couple years ago. Just b/c Carl scored 2 like that on his senior night. PLEASE tell me someone recorded this and can post a torrent to Big Ten Tracker!
I was a freshman in 2005, and that was just about the end of the band director dancing. I only saw it happen once and it was the alumni band director at that. These days if you chant "DANCE!" and point at the director, everyone thinks you're telling the band to play "Can't Turn You Loose" at the end of the 3rd period and usually ignores you.
You expected the spread to reach it's ceiling with a true sophomore QB, no comptent kicking game, and no defense? I'm accepting RR had to go, but if he had hired a functional defensive staff from the start 9-3 would've been the floor for years to come.
We all want Hoke to succeed, but basically I am disappointed that Michigan gave up on the spread offense with a higher ceiling and seems content to be "Lloyd Carr's Michigan" (/Braylon) and go 9-3 each year.
He's giving Hoke a chance, he's just skeptical of how well and fast this is going to work. On top of that, he's annoyed with how hypocritical the anti-RR people are being by overly accepting of Hoke. I happen to agree with him, but I think everyone will be happy if we just win.
"We were not as explicit with our student-athlete education as we should have been in the 2007-08 and 2008-09 academic years regarding the sale of apparel, awards and gifts issued by the athletics department," Ohio State athletic director Gene Smith said in a statement. "We began to significantly improve our education in November of 2009 to address these issues. After going through this experience, we will further enhance our education for all our student-athletes as we move forward."
I would expect the OSU AD to at least be able to say "DON'T DO IT", but I guess I underestimated their (already low) intelligence.
The players are eligibile for the bowl game because the NCAA determined they did not receive adequate rules education during the time period the violations occurred, Lennon said.
So because OSU did a bad job educating their players, they get rewarded by getting to play in the bowl game as opposed to a less impactful/profitable game next year? Ridiculous.
You're talking about two totally different aspects here. Gardner's redshirt is after a season of him dressing for every game to get him an extra year of eligibility (his scholarship was still paid for this year and he occupied one of our 85 spots).
Whereas Saban, et al. use it to cram extra players onto their roster before the season where they have no hope of playing this year. That is, if he offers them a medical scholarship and doesn't ask them to grayshirt, which is even worse.

The Regents also approved the NHL obtaining a liquor license for the game.

OSU 2007:
...resolution do you lose with a youtube embed of a mgoblue embed of a webcam of an enormous hd screen?
I just want to run the finite element analysis on the numbers, but then again I'm a mechanical engineer.
...yet.
IS WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT!

but it was a deflection and 2 breakaways ... so defense.
Over/under on the number of players fouling out in OT: 2.5
Ed Hightower will never pass up an opportunity to impact the outcome of a game.
SCREAMING NERD IS SCREAMING
for Tim Hardaway, Jr.
Why do Iowa and Illinois not believe in top and bottom margins for their "I" flags? Looks retarded.
I assumed it was their previous coach, Larry Mediacom, whom retired after being so successful that they had to rename the court in his honor.
Textbook falling-down-slapping bounce pass and assist from Morris to Hardaway there!

Some parts are good (patron in the grad), but overall they're not doing much to disprove stereotypes. Maybe that's the point?
Copy the embed code from the youtube page, switch to plain text editor in mgoblog, paste embed code, switch back to rich text, post.
100% pure columbian awesome.
I had been looking for this gif but couldn't remember what blog it was from. Thanks!
and no one should be at work
[doesn't matter. nothing porny -Brian]
I always remember Tunison doing it.
After reading that recap, I realize how much I miss Yost. Easily the best crowd experience anywhere I've been.
dude has a mouth??
what's YOUR deal?
But that also pretty much guarantees they're re-using the same structures at the Big House, so no Godzillatron (yet).
Yost and Crisler definitely need new structures though, the current ones aren't big enough to do HD justice.

Today's version needs to incorporate more of JMFJ's dad's moves. Specifically the finger pointing and hand waving.
Everyone dances to "Can't Turn You Loose", not just a selected individual
Where the hell is the mid-court line??
Everyone over 45 years old at Crisler would have a heart attack if Michigan did anything like Oregon's opening "ceremony"

Lloyd Brady sighting in the crowd when Novak fouled out
But you have to give him credit for overcoming his crack addiction and getting out of West Baltimore
We make only 3's the entire game

So the SEC schools offer medical redshirt vouchers if the recruits can be flexible with their collegiate plans?
