And the other "act of god" speaking of lifelines, certainly occured when one staff had 11 guys with bad intentions to either rough the punter or block the punt, and the other staff, for reasons God only knows, after a timeout, decided to send 6 guys down field to cover that punt just incase that the nobody MSU had back there to return it, found someway to return it. I'd say that was just a fluke, but when I see the same staff running play action passes down by 20 on 4th and 10, or throwing from OSU's endzone with an injured QB, I'm going to just go out on a limb and say it's not an act of God, but more a flaw in a staff. Either with assistants or the guy who gives the final say.
Look, if you can't beat them on the field, you have to do everything to beat them off the field in my opinion. Whether it's recruiting victories, trips to the vatican, shows on Amazon, whatever. Have you guys looked at MSU's schedule in the BIG vs Michigans in 2010 and 2011? MSU played the big ten champion in 10 and beat them, then played them twice in 11 and split. Michigan ducked them each year. You guys keep thinking pretty thoughts though.

I'm just assuming that it's because the two programs in the game aren't nationally relevant yet. In the state of Michigan you also had MSU vs Wisconsin in Bball which drew many away from the football game and then the local news was on.
Our annual game. One that in the next two years we'll be favored. bottom line, we will always get a chance to see who is the best straight up. Then, the losing team has that ability to say "well you beat us when our qb had a yeast infection" or "we played on a crowned field" or "We got better as the season went on, just look at our Iowa game and then look at yours.......oh wait" never mind about the last one. Serious though, the loser here gets to use those excuses and the well we beat a team that beat you thing, and the winning team gets to just say scoreboard.
Is that the Internet record for most excuses in an openin two sentences? You guys know the rest of the league calls you "no excuses but...." hahaha.
Whatever junior best part about it is we play again next year Till then you can say "well we beat this team by 3 at he and you beat them on the road " or we were better in November even though we lost to Iowa" and all we can say is "we beat you,,,,,again"
