As a Buckeye, Glen Steele is one of my least favorites as he caused us much grief in the late 90s. However, I am glad he was able to comfort your family for a few hours after your loss. Sometimes football isn't everything.
Just my opinion: What Michigan needs is their 4 best receivers on the field just about every play with Patterson in shotgun. This spreads out the defense and allows you the option of passing or even running for significant yardage. This is basic and Harbaugh will eventually catch on (or maybe not as he is pretty stubborn)
I always thought Michigan should have taken a chance on Tom Herman. He was an up and comer and it would have been a great scenario battling against his former mentor coach (much like Bo vs Woody). Although I can understand once Harbaugh became available it was impossible to look anywhere else. I really think long term Herman will end up being a much better College coach than Harbaugh.
I grew up in Columbus and attended OSU but have lived in the Detroit area (Troy/Birmingham) for the most part since after graduation. While "shit bags" may be a strong term Columbus definitely has a much larger "redneck" feel than this area (other than maybe Downriver).
Exactly right Don. Tressel was a great coach who worked his way up,locked up in-state recruiting because of his local ties and set the stage for Urban. Urban came in with a proven College-centric offense and a relentless recruiting drive which put them over the top.
lol, just kidding. You kind of got me as I wasnt paying as close attention as I should have I guess. I think the playoff would take an 11-2 B1G chmp over 10-2 Michigan even if Michigan beat both. It's unfortunate for you guys but they will be rewarding recent success (B1G championship vs early season loss). Just my opinion...
that Michigan may make it in if Washington loses, it's highly unlikely any 2 loss team would be allowed into the playoff. Get pissed at me if you like but I would be saying the same about the Buckeyes had they lost by 3.
Until you guys consistently beat your in-state rival, I would hold off on the celebration of how highly you are ranked. Harbaugh needs to start kicking some Sparty Ass before he thinks about competing with Urban or being a consistent Top 5 power.
I know you don't want to hear this but the truth hurts sometimes. First beat MSU, then OSU, and THEN you are relevant.
If I had to have a favorite Wolverine (not that i do of course) it would be either Denard Robinson or Devin Gardner. Both great athletes and super nice guys placed in less than ideal (no, terrible) situations in College. I would probably vote for Devin because I am still mad at Denard for beating us at least once !
Wish the best of luck to the young man getting a chance to start though.....
He wants to play with Scott @ MSU. I thnk Walker is as good as gone. Hello, Antonio Williams ? RB depth is not an issue for us right now so if we get Williams we will be OK !
for the objectivity. The close games have been extremely frustrating with the amount of "talent" the Buckeyes have. We still ahve a great offense, but execution has beehn sorely lacking and I believe it is true that you can have too many QBs.
I trust Urban (as you guys trust Harbaugh) to get it sorted out and peak at the right time.
Nobody (including harbaugh) shows all his offense the first few weeks. Expect Urban's to look pretty different by the time The game rolls around. Now, the QB issues are real but lets remember, theres a lot of time left for development.
Harbaugh is definitely in our heads a bit (I must admit). I still think you guys are a few years away from challenging us consistently but Harbaugh is defintely stirring the shit up.
Screw it up.He is a great coach. The question is, will you guys ever be happy with how much he wins. The bar has been set so high by urban that no matter how successful Harbaugh is, it may not be enough for some.
you guys will definitely get Mitchell. Don't think he is a top priority for Urban and staff. Not saying he is not a good player, but doesnt seem like OSU wants him as bad after they landed big body receivers Austin Mack & Kierre Hawkins.
appears very raw to me. He is definitely big, fast and talented but I dont think he played against the best HS competition. Rudock stars this year as harbaugh is probably looking for a bridge to next year. After that you will may see a Morris/Malzone/Gentry battle while peters redshirts.
are competing with each other through their kids. Whether it be in sports, SAT scores or high tech devices/latest fashion. Really a sad commentary on the state of parenting today.

May he rest in peace and may God give strength to his Family.

Not in Detroit, in the Suburbs. Although it is much easier than being a "Columbus Wolverine" !!!

Not much of a game although Huskies are putting up a much better fight than the Wolverines did.
I commend you for your enthusiasm in determining a final ranking after the dumpster fire last 2 games Harbaugh coached.

Zach Smith would just STFU and coach his receivers. Not one of my favorites. I don't know why Urban tolerates him.

But I think the better team (Warriors) will win in the end.

1 year does not a trend make..However I think he would ahve definitely taken TE Jake Hausmann had he expressed interest.

ever since he decommitted from the Buckeyes. Of course, I don't know much, just a gut feeling.
Tom Herman starting to grow a coaching tree already ?
Oh sorry, they said NCAA "stars"...
If they were to move to another city. We could get a new expansion team and start fresh !
but it still hurts, especially since you guys are the favorites here.
is not the smartest Buckeye. Thats just a dumb thing to say. Buckeyes dont need Harbaugh collecting material for motivation.

Michigan 20, MSU 13
Brady Hoke. Wish he was still coaching you guys...

You can laugh if you like but both teams will look much different in November.

You guys are very improved but now you are getting carried away

Losses to BYU, MSU, PSU & OSU. Harbaugh is agreat coach but it will take some time.
Chryst 9 wins, Harbaugh 8 wins, Riley 8 wins. Harbaugh just doesnt have the horses yet.
maybe Urban is jealous of all the Harbaugh shirtless pics and wants some coverage..../s
is all DAWG.
This is my favorite part. I am enjoying it right now but in all seriousness you guys will be elite again in the next 3-5 years.
The tone of your running game did change after he went out.

when he tore his ACL again. Seemed like the most physical RB you guys had last year.
EDIT: oops, was thinking of Drake johnson
The Realtor who sold him their house. They should be able to geta hold of them.

definitely helped my Bucks...LOL

even for a Buckeye
Chesson & Darboh both scare me a bit as a Buckeye fan. They are the tall, powerful receivers Harbaugh can really work with in his passing game.
