This is an awesome write-up Ben. As someone who is not just a Michigan Football fan but a fan (and alum) of the university I've always feared that the AD would abandon the values that the university places on itself in exchange for better performance on field. There wasn't a time where I was more afraid of that than this past winter. Really glad that Harbaugh has showed use that (at least every once in a while) both are possible.
american football has been on an absolute boom over there lately. Viewership for nfl games went up from 5-10 thousand viewers a few years ago to over 1 million this year. Here's to hoping Harbaugh opens a Germany recruiting pipeline. When I think 'German athlete' I think tight end or fullback, what could be more Harbaugh?
