Well then allow me to be more specific: Myself and my brother are going with my two sons. Since he and I are Michigan fans since the early 1970's and my boys are TCU fans (my youngest got his masters there). Our tiny little section, row and seats will be 50-50.
Having adopted TCU as my Texas team since I moved to Texas in the early 80's from Michigan and raising my 2 boys to love college football-this trip is a dream come true. What I have seen; especially for such a smaller private School -TCU really seems to travel well and I really expect TCU to have close to 50% if not more IMO.
1976- I agree, as one of the older guys on this board. My Senior year in HS and coming off the heart breaks of 72-75 (the freaking!! tie). That win cleansed so many memories away and propelled Bo to besting Woody in the series. Of course Leach and a stout defense helped.
The biggest reason I delight in Michigan State losing is it seems that most of their fans would rather see Michigan lose than Michigan state win. Most Michigan fans would rather see their team win than Michigan State lose.
Regardless I would take last season even with the Michigan loss to MSU, which is the way I believe most Michigan fans feel. Michigan State fans for the most part could not enjoy a Big Ten championship unless they beat Michigan.
Disagree about the 1985 and 1986 teams. 1985 was more enjoyable, both teams beat Ohio State. But 1985 won the fiesta bowl against Nebraska and I believe finished 2nd in the nation. 1985 was a surprise based on how they came into the year. 86 was expected to do good and lost to a Cooper led ASU team in the Rose bowl.
For Me this year's team has been the most satisfying since 97.
I thought the same thing, the stats between Cade and Griese may not be comparable but the leadership hand the handling of the offense are similar. Hoping for more similarities-National Championship!
IMO I think Denard is the most exciting player to wear the Michigan uniform, but Carter isn't too far behind; if at all. Been watching Michigan since 1969, I would put Robinson first, Carter second and then a gap for third, Peppers, Howard, Woodson??? Most exciting but not greatest. That has to go to Woodson
Of the three 10-2 teams, the 1976 team was the best IMO. Killed OSU 22-0 to finely break the jinx and go on to win the last 2 in the 7 year war. A lot like comparing the 10-3 teams of the last 4 years IMO the 2016 was the best of the 3.
First time caller, long time listener. Was behind even a more obnoxious fan at a high school JV game. He wasn't cussing but loudly criticizing the coach. I was embarrassed for him. Re Walmart wolverine fans...proud to say i am one, was a teenager during the 10 year war. Could not sleep Before " the game". So maybe i am nuts, but even though i now live in Texas, my son graduated from bama ( he has been to 3 national championships), my girl is a senior at texas a&m and my oldest is working on her phd at georgia tech, my heart will always belong to the Wolverines. Obtw I'm just a Ferris State college grad like some transfer lb

TCU traveled well to the Rose Bowl a few years ago. Living in DFW, I am sure TCU fans will be 50% or more.

At the end of the year that 1980 team may have been the best of all of Bo's teams, but you could make a case for the 1973 team and the 1985 team.

Kinda thought Fickell has turned out to be a pretty decent coach for Cinn. Although the year he was at OSU wasn't so hot
